+ 1 BJJ and Weights Cycle Evaluation
After doing several months of research and dialing in my nutrition and weight training I have decided to begin a first cycle of AAS. There is enough information out there already for members of this forum not to ask what a first cycle should be (as the answer will undoubtedly by Test E/C 500mg per week), but I believe a few other things could be added to this classic first timer cycle, especially considering my goals and current training regimen.
Personal stats= age 30, height 5'8", weight 155, BF 10-12%
Training stats= 4hrs BJJ/Karate 4 times per week, 1.5 hours weights + cardio 4 times a week, 3 days off working 12.5hr shifts as ER nurse.
Diet= Dialed in with allot of premium supplementation (money not an issue)
Goals= Increase strength, endurance, and fat free mass (weight gains being least concern)
I am giving myself 1.5 months before starting my 1st cycle as I will be taking a 10 day vacation soon and don't want ANY interruptions in my cycle. This will also give me additional time to polish up my food logs and get a full set of blood work prior. All injects on cycle will be performed by my wife, an ICU nurse herself.
Now I had it in mind to initially use this cycle as it is the most basic and safe beginner cycle=
Wk 1-12 Testosterone Enanthate = 250mg twice/wk e3.5d
Wk 1-12 Aromasin 12.5mg eod - monitor and adjust accordingly.
Wk 1-14.5 hCG = 250iu twice/wk day before test injection.
PCT Begins wk 15 to wk 19
Clomid 75/50/50/50
Nolva 40/40/20/20
However after doing much research I have found two substances that I believe will greatly help me reach my goals with minimal sides= Provirion and Equipoise. Provirion has a great many benefits and also inhibits estrogen conversion, after reading up on this I wonder why it isn't included in everyone's cycle. Equipoise I have researched has great results with increasing RBC count and endurance in athletes, all with minimal sides compared to even ordinary Test! This endurance boost is greatly important to me as my current training regimen demands amazing endurance to just get through the day. If my diet wasn't so strict I would have dropped a long time ago.
So I have instead been looking at a "Special Mix" I have seen for sale (in 1ml)=
Testosterone Cypionate 200mg
Boldenone Undecylenate 200mg
Testosterone Phenylpropionate 50mg
So I thought instead of making my 1st cycle=
Wk 1-12 "Special Mix" = 1ml twice/wk e3.5d
Week 1-12 = Proviron/25mg ED
Wk 1-12 Aromasin 12.5mg eod - monitor and adjust accordingly.
Wk 1-14.5 hCG = 250iu twice/wk day before test injection.
PCT Begins wk 15 to wk 19
Clomid 75/50/50/50
Nolva 40/40/20/20
I also think the test P in the "Special Mix" will help me start feeling the increased test sooner than I would from a standard Test C cycle. Although I believe this cycle to be sound after much careful research, I would never consider anything without the thoughts and input of you more experienced users, so please chime in and let me know your thoughts!

I did get a full blood workup precycle, i basically came to my pmd complaining of fatigue, decreased libido, and soft erections to get her to check test as well as other things. I then asked for lipid panels, cholesterol, kidney and liver function etc for a baseline. Everything came back amazing!
The problem is i like this pmd, but i will need a new source for lab orders mid cycle. She doesnt like doing blood tests etc without a good reason, that and i dont want her to see the high test result. As an rn myself i can monitor the physical sides (elevated bp, etc.) but i either need to research a new place to have bloods or just come up with a new excuse to have bloods minus test levels to my pmd mid cycle (was thinking saying i have been on a pure vegan diet a month and just want to be sure lipid panel etc are not out of whack).
Brother that is great I thought I wrote this for a minute, that is the same reason why I sought out a HGH clinic. I don't know what state you are in but there are plenty of places now where you can get full lab work without a doctors orders. I sent you a FR so I can tell you some of the different labs that you can check out.
Noid and Nitti have you well covered on the cycle info. I have to say this is one of the best stats layout that I have seen, so +1 from me for that. The only thing I would add since money is not an issue and you seem really health conscious, is get full blood work done then you will know where your levels are at. I do mine monthly primarily so that I can adjust my meds anti-estrogen as needed. It will help you dial in your aas use.
A update to this thread, and whats been going on.
Basically i decided to do a Test only cycle as so many pointed out, and have been on the cycle for a week now. It honestly took me these 3 months of research, gathering gear, and most importantly getting my diet 100% in check before begining the cycle. How did i know i was finally ready to begin? Because i allready felt awesome from a amazing paleo diet consisting of all natural, organic, and free range foods (there is NOT a single drop of any corn syrup, xanthan gum etc. in anything i eat!) as well as being in the best shape of my life from constant training. I believe that part is key in being ready to start a AAS cycle, being happy with your life, in perfect shape, with a perfectly balanced diet. I am SO glad i waited and didnt use AAS until i was completely ready, and also glad i started as small as possible.
After this cycle i plan on taking a long time off to let my body recover, and i am even thinking of holding off on equipoise and provirion for perhaps 3 cycles down the road. After all, shouldnt i only add other compounds when i have reached my limit with Test? I personally doubt 3 cycles of Test will even cause me to reach my limit. Its highly likely that test will be all i ever need.
Be patient my fellow eroiders starting out! I will keep this thread updated week by week. I sincerely hope that first time users really take their time jumping in!
Sorry for the long delay in replying, was at work earlier today. Do I compete? Yes in BJJ and IBJJF does not test for anything. I also don't mind moving up a weight class as I never cut weight to be in a lower class. I compete at the weight I walk around at and have done extremely well. (multiple gold's at different events. I believe cutting weight is taxing on the body and hinders a fighters performance rather than enhances it. I also go into my fights calm with no intention of harming my opponents and I believe that is the key to my success as my mind is 100% centered on technique, I never fall for baited openings etc. which is also why I want to avoid things like Halo.
I had read that article Roid Noid and part of it was my inspiration for Boldenone (Equipoise). It is super important to me that my endurance not take any hit as it is so vital to Jujitsu. We actually have a few bodybuilders at my Jujitsu school one who has taken gold in EVERY competition he has done in this past year! However he is going to be in trouble once he fights more skilled opponents at his new belt level as he has a very small gas tank, and if you can survive the initial onslaught he is in big trouble!
I see that the general consensus is to stick with a Test only cycle and I will undoubtedly defer to my more knowledgeable board members on this issue, but what about Provirion? Can Provirion still be included in a primary cycle? It basically seems like a AI that increases serum Test levels and reducing bloat, seems a Win-Win item to include in any cycle. Also, any thoughts on how to jumpstart a cycle safely as well? I initially wanted to use the special mix or to add some initial doses of Test P etc. to start feeling the beneficial effects of the cycle sooner, so as to maximize the overall gains of the cycle. Perhaps a tapered and decreasing dose of test P during weeks 1-3?
It is great to have such a forum like this for us to discuss these issues, and I look forward to even more feedback! To others with similar questions I STRONGLY urge you to heavily research these compounds before simply asking "what should I take?' I don't agree with half the meds we hand out like candy in the ER and I am always so surprised that people swallow and accept any med offered to them without question or concern!
so heres the deal, proviron is a steroid too, if you run both of these from start to finish your taking away from learning how each of them effect you. Please dont get it confused that what each compound does to others it will do to you, only YOU can dettermine what these compounds will do when you use them. this compound will prevent aromatization of testosterone so in a sense will act as a mild AI but should not be taken in place of one until you know how you body responds. it is very similar to mast in many ways, DHT derivative, drys you out adds hardness to muscles. here is a good read on it if you havent yet http://www.eroids.com/forum/steroids-qa/anabolic-steroids/proviron...sho... ...So I would suggest just learning the compounds one at a time, if your gonna do it anyway then I would suggest starting it at week 8 at 25 to 50mg/d split. if by the time you get to week 8 your cycle is working just fine I would leave it out so you can follow through with PCT and learn how it all works with just test.
Sound advice roid noid and i will take it to heart. Aas use is a long and carefully planned out journey and not a quick fix. Best to take things 1 step at a time and as safely as possible. I willprovide updates later after initial blood work and throughout the cycle. My hardest part of dialing in my nutrition precycle is not the same problems most people face. I allready never drink alcohol, eat hydrogenated oils, high fructose corn syrup etc. my issue is at work its incredibly hectic and it is so hard sometimes to sneak away every few hours to eat. I use shakes and bars too but i feel like allot of protein bars out there overall are preety crappyin terms of protein/carbs/fat mix. I will keep looking though!
bigzigzagPm me I was a strength and conditioning coach in Denver and San Diego for years of 2 pro fight teams and first would ask are you competing? thus weight specific in your goals? 2nd IMHO I've experienced and have had guys experience almost uncontrollable hunger on equipoise. This is a good thing for gainers but when competing within weight classes can be counter productive.
here is also a read to get some more info, someone just brought a post back to life from 9 months ago where i posted this http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_article/sex_news_sports_funny_grok/s...
I was an endurance athlete. I spent my entire adult life (up until recently) training , eating, breathing boxing! There are a handful of others here who have been in your shoes. I spent a lot of time tinkering with different compounds while trying to maintain my super middle weight frame. Weight gain was my enemy. I was successful but I did it ALL wrong. Good to see you've done the research and have a good grasp on what you need to do. +1 brother!!
Ohh and I have to agree with Noid. Test alone will increase endurance, energy , strength and everything you're looking for. I love EQ. Also a good choice but I would take noids advice and keep the test low if you don't want to gain much weight. Your aromasin will take care of the excess water but I'd still keep test low. Good luck.
I also am a very big proviron fan but never used it until I started my new venture of bodybuilding. That's 2 DHT derivatives however. Not sure I like that
well first off let me just say good job at researching, seriously +3 from me. Ive participated in the sports you mentioned as well as boxing and done the 4 hours training and 2 hours sparring daily, 7 days a week. so i know what your talking about, I was fighting as a 155, im 210 now. Im gonna tell you that you should stick with the test only cycle as well, until you run it you dont know anything about t and what its gonna do to you. And I can assure you test by itself will give you huge endurance, strength, and confidence gains. its a great stand alone compound. however if your fighting in a weight class and wanting to stay there I would lower your dose. 350mg/w will do the job, anything more and you might very well jump a weight class. This first cycle is the one that is gonna start all your learning and I highly suggest you take it slow and learn one compound at a time and use very low doses for the sport you are in.
I didn't know you were a boxer! Nice!!
its been a little while but i boxed for the Marine Corps boxing team, 5 mile run with a plastic bag and a shit load of clothes eat breakfast and then train from 8 to 2 every fucking day 7 days a week. It was my job, not a hobby where you can leave and take days off, it was no joke bud. ive also trained in kick boxing, BJJ and wrestling, which where all fun and hard at the same time but i like the stick and jab baby. At 210 im not nearly as fast but technique never leaves ya and if I catch ya with one of these at 210 its vicious. LOL look at me talking like im a young buck still! its the test I tell you!...
There's nothin easy about bodybuilding but the fight training is in an entirely different stratosphere. Brutal! I actually miss it. Lol. But yes, that's a fact. You never lose your technique. Just like riding a bike. There's no such thing as tough. There's trained and untrained. You could stay away from it for a decade, get into a scrap and watch your training kick in like second nature. Good to know there is another former fighter here. Merry Christmas by the way. I got socks and underwear. I'll trade you for the gift card! Lol
TronI'm not the most experienced on here my friend. But I have been around the aas game for a while and have a few years of experience under my belt. I'm saying for your first cycle stick with the 500mg of test a week but use get some prop100 and run it 100mg eod as a "kicker" until the long esters kick in. Then just finish with the standard pct. You will feel the prop right away and start making immediate gains and have motivation to train. This would be a basic easy cycle and that way for your first time you can see how you respond to test only and if and when you do a second cycle and do decide to add other compounds and have any have some unwanted effects you will know it is more likely the other compounds you are responding negatively to other than the test. Besides, you are going to get great results from your first cyle of test only bro. But make sure your nutrition is up to par and have a training program lined up. I suggest writing all your lifts down so you can see your progress and I even do a little vlog on my computer talking about how i feel and what i am seeing different each week. I do this for my own records and I do them usually with a couple poses lol! I do this every week and it really is cool to look back at yourself from week 1 when you are at the end of your cycle. And man get blood work done before and after and even half way through to completely take the guess work out of where your levels are. Hope this helps bro. Get some advice from some of the vets on here as well. They help me alot and most of them know what they are talking about from personal experience. Good luck bro!
