Positive drug test
Hey gang, Completed my cycle, now in PCT, clomid and nolvadex, and everything has been going great. Only problem is, I took a pre employment drug test on Monday. Got a call from the people hiring me on Monday afternoon, saying that my sample was being sent to the lab because they had detected something. I've read around quite a bit since then and have found a lot of conflicting info on PCT ancillaries causing a false positive. I don't do street drugs, period. So it was either the clomid or nolvadex that caused the red flag. So my question is, what happens with a false positive? After it arrives at the lab do they analyze and find what caused the false positive? I'm thinking that once they do the analysis and find out it's not an illegal drug in my system I will be in the clear. But I'm not for sure, hence the post. So, if anyone out there has ran into this problem, you're input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should be good. For the doctor I used to see I used to have to give a piss sample every visit cause of the meds I was prescribed and I the cups with the thing on the side are incredibly inaccurate. I tested positive for morphine probably 8 times, weird cause I've never taken morphine. First time it happened I was like fuck how is this possible, was it the poppy seed bagel I ate yesterday. Could the var I'm taking have tiny amounts of morphine? Then it went to the lab and came back all good. False positive. Then it happened a bunch more times and I was never worried again. Most likely what happened with you. The cups they use just sometimes come defected and give a false positive, it'll go to the lab and everything should be fine, you say you don't takw drugs. They never test for steroids, and never ever test for stuff like clomid nolva hcg etc unless you were taking a pre employment drug test for the NFL or something lol. Try not to stress it. First time it happened I was like this isn't possible let me go piss in the cup again an I got all worked up over nothing. Soon as I got out from my appt I went to cvs and bought my own drug test and passed as I knew I would. But still worrisome situation when it happens, atleast the first time.
No ive taken hair test and UA on pct and on cycle never had an issue even with clen and ephedrine
Haven't taken a drug test in a good while. So, what happens when you test positive for something that you're legitimately prescribed? Can the potential employer use that against you?
No that would be discrimination. If you are legally prescribed something they can't do anything unless it impaired you to do the job you are required to do and then at that point they would have to find you something else in the company that you can do while on your medication but i would watch your back cause once you get there they will be trying to fire you for any reason
If someone is prescribed something powerful and controlled for good reason, odds are him or her not taking their medication(s) is what would impair their performance at work.
Now I'm nervous. Better up my Xanax dose before I clock in from now on...
Was it from a pre workout maybe
AnonNo, I don't use pre workout.... The only think I'm taking is nolvadex, clomid, DAA, zinc, and D3.
I just took a piss test for my job and was taking nolvadex and I passed they will probably just look at the false and make sure it isn't cocaine or some other street drug and then pass you I wouldn't worry to much
AnonThat's seems to be the consensus, so I guess I'll just wait and see what happens.
Thats odd, as said below the typical pre employment screen ( at least where I am) is a 5 panel (5 street drugs) . There ar 10 panel and others, depending on type of job. You should be fine. As a side note, along these lines for everyone to keep in mind. If you take Mucinex and get a drug screen it will come up as an opiate. At least mine did. They retested it more indepth because I hadnt taken anything and demanded it. Anyway, it turns out it was the guaifenesin in it that gave the false positive. Good luck, let us know how you make out.
AnonThe folks I'm going to work for called me today and said that the drug test was fine. That it was a false positive with a stick test. Thank god, who wants loose out on more money? Lol
Good deal, congrats on the job. Yea, never want to lose out on any extra cash
You are going to be fine if they are sending it to a lab that should mean that the test came back as a false positive basically didn't read positive but also didn't come up negative. Unless its a DOT test your fine hippa laws protect you from them asking questions about those drugs.
No sudaphed or primatine or any antibiotics or even clen these commonly cause false positives and can make it into a problem.
AnonThanks for the reply, that makes me feel a bit better. I've never been in this spot, so it's tough to k ow what to make of things... But it sounds like they can get it all straightened out at the lab
Give them a vote if you find it helpful.PermalinkI've been on probation a couple of times and there shitty dip sticks give false positives constantly. Like gaynz said only street drugs are what they don't want to see if its a pharmaceutical you have the hippa laws on your side with a work test probation is different but they would send it out and it would come back as other compounds in my system but non controlled medications and then they would drop the issue as long as it's not opioids or benzos presc
AnonI guess I don't know where HIPPA fits in. I know what HIPPA is, but how does that protect me?
I would deny as you haven't done anything and ask for a re-test.
They should know false positives happen...
That's odd bro. The normal drug panel consist of your typical street drugs like cocain, marijuana, heroine and amphetamines. Even if they did a more extensive test it would include psychedelics, ketamine and possibly MDMA/ecstasy. I don't see anything in your PCT that would set any of these off.
AnonThat's where I'm at with it. That's why I didn't bat an eye at taking the test. Clomid and nolvadex don't get you high. But after some research I saw that some claimed that clomid could cause you to test positive for benzo's. Whatever the hell those are, lol And judging from other responses, once it goes to the lab, they will see that there isn't an illegal substance In my system, which is a big relief.
