TENS Unit

ad

I was able to get a TENS unit aka Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation machine. For those who dont know, these deliver electric impulses which work with muscle excitability to help with inflammation, cell repair and serves many other purposes. The shoulder specialist I am seeing wrote me a script for one (I go Nov 16th for shoulder surgery).

there are rumors out there that if you were to hook these up to your abdominal region they would actually deliver almost a cutting result if used at a high enough voltage. However, since it just deals with muscle excitability it wouldn't actually make them any stronger.

Anyone else have some knowledge to input regarding these?

Fun would be the bigger units (cart top), I ended up with 3 1/2 years of TENS treatment (to out last a car insurance company). Really didn't do much after the frist 6 month or so, getting him to turn the big machine up to feel the burn was always a fight, till it got just a little to high, and I got banned from the big machine and stuck with the little hand held, adjust it yourself TENS. I think he was worried about the 2 pad burns on my back. LOL
