i have 15mg capsules of aromasin. i cant use a tab cutter since its capsule form. should i take 15mg eod or attempt to Maguyver it by un-doing a capsule and take half (7.5mg) ed? aromasin is said to have a half life of 27hrs, i've read 24hrs, some have claimed it to be as short as 7-9hrs. Everyone has a different metabolism so I'm sure there's some validity to those claims. The metabolizing enzyme for aromasin is CYP3A4, which also metabolizes antibiotics... so I'm sure if anyone has taken a lot of antibiotics in their lifetime, their body has begun to produce more CYP3A4 to help with antibiotic metabolism. The scenario is much like people who gain a tolerance for alcohol - they start to produce more alcohol dehydrogenase (the metabolizing enzyme for your favorite cold one or mixed drink) in turn your body breaks down the alcohol faster which makes you have to drink more alcohol more rapidly to raise blood alcohol content.
