+ 4 Testosterone is not Testosterone..

ad

Myth..Testosterone is Testosterone..

Fact: Although this seems like something that can’t be a myth, it actually is. Methyltestosterone (oral testosterone) converts to a much more potent version of oestrogen (methylestrogen) in the liver, while injectable testosterone does not. And, even the injectable testosterones have their differences; short esters convert to less oestrogen than longer esters. And, just to make things even more complicated, the patches and gels are convert to dihydrotestosterone to a much greater degree than either the injectable or oral testosterones.

Both oestrogen and dihydrotestosterone have profound physiological effects on the body and, because every type of testosterone doesn’t convert to them equally, we find varying effects depending on the one we’re using. Oestrogen promotes greater adipose (fat) gain, but also greater muscle gain, while DHT gives a harder, more quality look to the physique. Still, although we see this “testosterone is testosterone” myth repeated (online mostly) we also see top-flight bodybuilders taking advantage of the differences in various testosterones – long esters for bulking, short esters for cutting. So it’s not only the route of administration (oral, transdermal or injectable) that matters, but also the ester of the injectable versions. Testosterone is, strangely, not just testosterone.

Some good concepts to understand here and also so miscommunication about variances in test esters and methyl test but my man J223 got this all cleared up'

well the whole purpose of this article doesn't really mean anything.

First of all there is no such thing as oral testosterone enanthate. There is, however, testosterone undecanoate which is oral. It is the same thing as the injectable version only it doesn't effectively get absorbed so a higher dose is required.

Methyltestosterone has nothing to do with testosterone. They are two completely different drugs. So what's the point of this article??

You also seem to be forgetting (or lack of understanding) that other hormones can bind or counter the effects of hormones. So if methyl test converts to methylestrogen, you forget that SHBG, DHT, progesterone and other hormones could potentially block it's effects. A high level of methylestrogen conversion is not significant if it just gets deactivated in the body.

Where does it say oral test E?

methyltestosterone is testosterone

if you see no point to this post then dont waste ur time to comment.

no, methyltestosterone is not testosteron. It has different andogen-anabolic ration, converts to different metabolites and way less bio-viable in the body. According to your logic one might conclude that dbol and other test-derivatives is testosteron.

you have been reading to much broscience....here learn something and follow the links...

do i need post more proof?

now show me your proof that its not a testosterone...your english need a little work was hard to work out what u were saying.

Methyltestosterone....the clue is in the name lol...

Methyltestosterone....the clue is in the name lol...

that is your first mistake Big_Al

The naming has nothing to do with it. They are two completely different drugs.

Methyltestosterone is methylated testosterone. Methylation significantly changes properties of original compaund. It's not bro-science.
Methyltestosterone used to be prescribed to TRT patients but now this practice is discontinued due to high liver toxicity and low bio-availability in the body.
Methylated testosteron unlike esterified testosteron does not convert to testosteron in the body so you can not really compare them.

As for clue in the name, I can find several of testosteron derivatives that have word testosteron in their name (for example dihydrotestosterone, 11-ketotestosterone, 1-testosteron).

I posted links to say it was testosterone now you post links which says it is not..prove you know what your talking about and post the links to the reports..if not then stop giving out misleading information.By your reply its obvious you never even clicked the links and are steadfast in you broscience beliefs, why am i not surprised?

either way what you want to believe it totally up to you and no one else, but if you are telling others then make sure you got your proof everyone so knows its not broscience.

here is a snippet from one of the links above which you never clicked...''Methyltestosterone is a man-made form of testosterone, a naturally occurring sex hormone that is produced in a man's testicles. Small amounts of testosterone are also produced in a woman's ovaries and adrenal system.''

Oh dear it says its a testosterone...all these yrs medical doctors and companies have been thinking its a testosterone...maybe you should email them and tell them they are wrong..

here is one more link http://www.drugs.com/mtm/methyltestosterone.html
read it and stop churning out broscience..

this from anabolics 2009

Methyltestosterone is an orally available form of the I primary male androgen testosterone. Looking at the I structure of this steroid, we see it is basically just I testosterone with an added methyl group at the c-17 alpha \ position (a c-17 alpha alkylated substance), which allows :\ for oral administration. The resultant compound :\//methYlated-testosteronell was among the first functional 'oral steroids to be produced.

case closed...there is nothing to argue about its a fact not a theory if you don't want to believe this then thats up to you. just realise you were wrong instead of making yourselves look more and more stupid with every post.

You are right that methyl-testosterone was an attempt to create oral form of test for TRT which didn't have much success.
You can call it oral testosterone but it has different chemical formula, different pharmacologic effect in the body. My point is it's misleading to call methyl-test testosterone because one can assume that he can use it for TRT and expect test cyp/en effect.

Correct! Also these may have the word "testosterone" in their chemical name but their pharmacological effects can be completely different. Just because names are similar doesn't mean they do the same thing inside the body.

Sounds like mostly bro-science to me. The Strengthvillain website was sorely lacking on real sources. However they did mention something that was absolutley true. You'll get more more absorption of gear through the glute injections over delt injections..at least with Deca. The study they referenced I have also read myself and it was kind of suprising.

That was quite informative and thanks for the website. It also has other interesting information. It'd be nice if they provided references just so you can inspect the research behind the assertions. +1

Nice write up, you taught me something new, that deserves a +1 from me

Sumatra_Triangle's picture

interesting. perhaps you could do a quick focus compare and contrast.
I like the way you write. can you compare Test Acetate VS Test prop, or perhaps even go into Test no ester?

Thanks bro
