Receptors clearing

ad

Typically how long does it take for your receptors to clear after being on Test E 500mg per week for 12 weeks? Does it take longer for receptors to clear after being on more gear / longer durations? Just curious. I see different answers all over the internet but ik one of the Vets on Eroids must have a valid answer

Time on = time off for health reasons, and keepin your body fresh, (and I believe letting myostatin drop back down), but as far as receptors being fresh, is there any real shit there or just bro science?

Receptors are constantly sprouting up and dying off. It’s not like you have 10,000 receptors and when androgen attaches to it that’s it and you have to wait for it to clear.

And you know what upregulates receptors? Androgens.

We should all be taking proper time off for health reasons, but I’m not sure there’s anything there on the receptor front.

I believe the reason gains stop after a while on, or the reason if you take a longer time off is because of homeostasis being thrown off for a while and your body trying to make up the difference... increased SHBG, upregulation of myostatin, etc... not because receptors are full.

That's just a theory, but it's a theory based on research and how the body actually works. I've seen zero evidence that receptors get full like a parking lot and then that's it, you have to wait for the cars to leave.. in fact its the opposite. Parking spaces are popping up all the time and the spots with cars in them are constantly getting bulldozed and paved over.

The more time off the better, give your body time to bounce back and recharge the batteries. You only have one body so take care of it as best as possible. When people get all mental about taking time off and jump right back into it that’s when health declines so why risk it is how I feel about it. I agree with those who say the same for time on is time off. What’s the rush?

I’ve seen evidence showing it can take 8+ months for the receptors to fully clear.

DfromPhilly's picture

Can you point me to this evidence? Because I think the receptor thing is bullshit. I've seen zero science on it. See my reply above, so I'm not typing twice lol.

Ok so I’m totally mistaken and the article I read was about brain neurotransmitter levels and their return to normal following AAS cessation. I retract my previous statement.

I’m talking to some other people who have been doing this longer than me I’m starting to believe the whole receptors clearing time might be shot too. Your increasing SHBG theory is basic human physiology and I would say is true. I just started researching myostatin antibodies but don’t know a whole lot about it to be honest and how increasing muscle mass and androgylevels affect it.

You’re body does create new ARs in response to elevated androgen levels, not sure how fast though. I’m sort of testing a theory on myself at the moment, if you want details I’ll PM you. Arnold and those guys pretty much only dropped their dose and Dorian says he took 4 weeks off. Not saying this is ideal but it demonstrates that most likely you are correct.

Another thing that got me thinking was someone I respect said if ARs filled up then trt wouldn’t work.

Yea I don't know enough about myostatin either, like I said, that part is admittedly theory/possible broscience, but does lend itself to the little research I've done on myostatin and homeostasis in general (not just from a sex hormone aspect, but overall body homeostasis). I could be full of shit on that one though lol.

Yea I'll shoot you a PM i'm interested in your guinea pigging for sure lol.

No your correct, there's studies done showing that after 8 weeks myostatin increased by like 20% or something and took another 12 weeks to go back to baseline. It's proven true in my case, seems after 8 weeks my gains slow way way down. it's like I'm training natty again. I remember my first cycle, 500mgs test, gained 23lbs my first 8 weeks, decided to stretch it out to 16, upped my calories dramatically, switched up my training, gained 5 more pounds over the second 8 weeks and it seemed it was a lot of fat, the pics at 8 weeks I was lean, 8 weeks later I had gained a decent amount of fat. Kept getting stronger though. I always say this, 2 8 week cycles would yield better results then one 16 weeker. Some people don't experience this, they just keep gaining and gaining as long as they stay on, but an overwhelming majority don't. The body does things to return to homeostasis, stop the huge increase in anabolism that's been occurring.

I agree on two 8 weekers over one 16. 100%.

Lots more research needs to be done, but I wonder if that yk-11 (possible sarm/possible dht steroid/possible myostatin inhibitor) could be of any benefit on the tail end of a 12-14 weeker. And if it would be, would it be keepable? To be clear, I'm not suggesting anyone try this. Just theorizing.

There’s an actual myostatin antibody being developed that’s way safer, it’s in stage 2/3 I believe. They’re using it for seniors after hip/joint replacement.

There’s more but I just got started on it.

Nice. I was reading about BYM338 and it started out promising but flunked that last phase of trials... This one looks promising though.

irongame427's picture

That's the way to do it. The results are so much better after taking a good amount of time off. A few cycles I got a little carried away and didn't stay off as long as I should have and the results weren't very good at all. Started taking more time off and the results were great again. Talked to a few very high level competitors straight monsters and even they try to come off everything as much as possible. And atleast for me results stop aftef 8-10 weeks. This doesn't Happen to everyone some will just grow and grow for as long as they're on. Me it's like I'm training natural again after 10 weeks. Ran long cycles and I gain the bulk of my size the first 8 weeks, so I try to limit my bulks to 8-10 weeks, cuts I'll go for longer as mucked gain isn't a top priority. 2 8 weekers trumps 1 16 weeker. But these are all things you gotta learn on your own work time. Atleast I had to.

Time on = Time off
You don't want to get used to short breaks. That's how you get injured. And that's how you start ramping up dosages way too fast. Longevity and low to moderate mg's is the name of the game.

Totally agree, time on=time off , that includes pct!
Your receptors need a break off to be fresh and ready to receive when you start next cycle!
