Injection problems

ad

A disgrace that I have to ask this but in the last weeks I have always problems with my injections.
Needle goes in very smooth, slides in like there is no resistance (muscle), so that I must be careful that I don't pin too fast (the injection goes very easy) and sometimes I'm nealy not able to get the oil in, only with much strain.

Never had this issue before, I use the same brand as before and have the same stats as I had 1-2 months ago, maybe a bit more bf (2-3% ?).

I use:

23G× 1/4" for glute and legs
25Gx 1" for shoulders
26G× 7/8" for triceps and chest

I'm "scared" that the solution goes too deep and thus doesn't go into the muscle or even in the fat.

Any idea what this could be...I changed NOTHING in my routine, not the gear, not the needle size, always correct injection spots and so on...

How long did it take you to get scar tissue? Just wanted to know when I should start looking out for it.

The first time you will know. When you push in the needle you will feel "crunching." Thats your sign.

A few guys say it's scar tissue which is a possibility. Try to rotate injection sites and not hit the same areas frequently. Press seems to have the best suggestion!

I can very easily see this being to do with injecting into scar tissue as I have build ups in some places myself. But I've also had it happen plenty of times when injecting into tissue thats fine with very fine smooth oils that have been heated up etc. Whenever I've had big problems with a barrel just not plunging in I've often found that when I've pulled it back out its to do with pressure problems within the barrel. To correct this remove the needle, move the plunger up and down a few times and you'll feel the internal pressure normalize again and move freely. Then stick a new pin on and you are always then fine and it goes straight in. Obv can be due to sticking plungers too etc but the pressure change is normally the problem for me.

x2 could not of said it better.

I would say it's scar tissue. Happens to me occasionally in my delts. If it takes force to leave the barrel I pull it out and try another spot.

You have a lot of scar tissue buildup. You need to start injecting somewhere else and not do the areas you are struggling with for at least 3 months so they heal. if you dont you will end up with either a sterile absess because of the scar tissue or the oil will just seep out.

Thanks for this helpful info, damn that sounds scary , I'll lower my injection interval for the next 10-12 weeks and I'll try to use only glute and lats for injections , so that my shoulders and legs can recover, thanks Irish!

Scar tissue will do that.

Yes Sam, too bad, now I must care about this areas!

That's strange, is it all your pin spots you're having trouble with or just one area in particular?

Are you pinning new gear? Some GSO gear is really thick and takes forever to pass through a 25ga.

Typically, not always, but typically passing through scar tissue with the needle makes that slightly unnerving "pop" sound.

stairmaster's picture

Not all , only delts ans legs, glute , triceps and chest works fine. Mostly it happens when I inject in my legs or rear delts.

No since months the same gear, the oil this source uses is very smooth.

I hear no "pop" or anything.

I just started using my delts again, after a two year break. That scar tissue was causing all sorts of issues for me. Most noteably was muscle contraction when injecting. That shit was super painful. After my two year break, things have been going really smoothly. The pain was so bad with the cramping, it took two years for me to have the balls to try them again.

It could be tissue build up? When you repeatedly inject spots over the years you build scar tissue in the muscle which is hard to push oil through. I think there are foam rolling and massaging exercises you can do to do or you can leave the area and wait for the area to improve.

stairmaster's picture

Thats possible but I wonder why some injects go so easy , when I hit a scar its normally hard to get the oil in, but I have no idea if this happened already.

GrowMore's picture

Only part of the muscle have the scar tissue in and I’m guessing it can be the size of a tiny marble or smaller so hitting it can be bad luck.

I used to inject 5ml all at once into my glute and that build up a huge amount of scar tissue in that muscle to the point I could hardly inject anywhere. I left them alone for a year + and now I inject 2ml with no problem. This is anecdotal of course some might take less

wanted's picture

Before i inject in my delts i feel around for this scar tissue and place alittle piece of tape where i find it and inject next to it. So not into the same place.

GrowMore's picture

Good idea. I’ve been lazy in the past and tried to push through the scar tissue, sweating and wobbling all over the place which causes more scar tissue to build up and PIP. If it happens now I’ll pull out, replace the needle and try somewhere else.

I’m sorry, am I reading this right? A one quarter inch needle for glutes and quads? Or was that a typo?

herpjunkie111's picture

Surely he meant 1-1/4".......

stairmaster's picture

correct!

helloBrooklyn's picture

That’s what I’m thinking. Just ruling out the potentially obvious
