Antibiotics for possible infection?
I was just curious, what you bros have on hand for injection related infection??
I just brewed 40ml of Test e at 250 mg/ml and all filtered through .2u whatman syringe filter, and put all viles in 80'C (about to boil) water for about 30 minutes.
So what do you have on hand to treat infection, and what do think in your opinion, will I get infection from the stuff I brewed? I used alcohol swaps to clean rubber stopper before I poke it and filter oil and everyting
I hear that some people use Z-pack (Azithromycin) for injection related infection and all I can find is Azithromycin for fish only on ebay. But weird thing about this drug is that they sell in capsule form, which fish cant eat :O
So did anybody actually consumed z-pack from ebay or else where that is labled for fish only to fight infection before??

mick118Depends what the bacteria is (gram positive / gram negative/ anerobic etc) as to what antibiotics to use. There are 120+ types of antibiotics
If you have correct amount of BA or alcohol in the test it would be impossible for bacteria to survive. alcohol is extremley bacteriacidal and bacteriastatic
If you do get an infection from pinning you will get systemic symptoms (chills fever) as well as local redness pain swelling
An infection from pinning would most likely be by bacteria called staph
Antibiotics in order of effictiveness for staph penicillin/amoxicillin/augmentin/clindamycin/ciprofloxacin/then drugs you cant get
flagyl is only for anaerobic bacteria like dental bacteria or some gut infections.
If you get an infection though goto a doctor. Systemic infections are serious.

cdaddy7Mostly amoxicillin that I know of and a severe case they use Flagyl combined with Augmentin 875(amoxicillin and clavulanate) for at least 10 days to 2 weeks of each ran concurrently.

Thanks for reply bro. Meh I just found out that animal grade amoxicillin is exactly same as human-pharmacy grade amoxicillin. And also found that this is what us armies taking when they go SHTF situation during Iraqi combat.
zewipenicillin or z-pack will work.. However, you will no in few hrs if you have one. If you do everything right and you clean, you have nothing to worry about..
Thanks for the comment brother. This is my first time doing brewing and trying to be extra cautious. But do you know where I can get those drugs?? Im not quite sure asking source for ANTIBIOTICS is against the rule either;;; what do you think of those drugs for aquarioum fishes?? lol I know somebody is going to flame me real soon lolololol
