+ 2 anavar and 70+ yr old bodybuilders

ad

Hello eroids community. I am a 76 year old bodybuilder. I have been working out steady for the last 6 years, 6 days a week , 2 hrs a day. I took a layoff from gym for the last 8 months due to the covid scare. I have now gotten my covid vaccinations and i will be returning to gym soon. I have never used AAS before , but I want to try a Anavar only cycle for 6 weeks to loose some fat and tighten up my muscles. I am very healthy, i am 5ft 6in., 150 lbs and i take no medication at all. I do not smoke nor do I drink alcohol. can i get some feedback from you guys. I would love to hear from any old guys that are using AAS. Thank you all. cavemangeorge

I am not against someone your age taking Anavar (Oxandrolone). What I want is for you to be smart about it. Do not and I repeat do not buy it from a UGL and self administer it. HRT clinics are now prescribing Anavar. Google "HRT Oxandrolone" and you''ll find telemedicine clinics offering it. They will do blood work and have you consult with a physician. You'll know you are in fact doing real anavar and you'll have someone monitoring you for your safety and well-being.

I would definitely be worried about your lipids with anavar, I’m mid 40’s and anavar took my hdl down to 19 in a matter of 3 weeks! I know everyone reacts differently to aas but at your age ( no disrespect) I think the risks outweigh the gains!

There’s a guy around here by the name of Greg. He’s old and can help you out.

I don’t think any medical professional would sign off on someone at ur age using aas unless you have a known disease. With that said you should really weigh understand the risk of what ur trying to do at ur age.

I don’t get how this post got karma nothing informational here.

Mens health clinic probably would... lol

That’s one way to look at it!

I am assuming you are not on TRT already?

cavemangeorge's picture

I am not on anything. This cycle will be a one time thing for me to jumpstart my return to the gym. This is my first time on a forum, and it seems some people here think I am not for real. Since I have not heard from anyone near my age, I have to assume that there are not too many 76 year old bodybuilders on the forums.

In all honesty no there aren't mate - Many people seem to lose the drive to train after 60 but good on you for keeping the motivation and positivity to do it :-)) NEVER stop doing what makes you happy.

I think the first step here is to go discuss things with your doctor, get a good health check done and tell him you want to go on TRT. Can you imagine just how much you will benefit from even a low dose of Test per week??! I'm sure you will notice a huge difference in energy, drive and muscle you can still achieve. In fact you'll also feel like a completely different person too. Get that done and sorted first before ordering or taking any anavar buddy Smile

TRT at 76? Not a chance. Take a look at what age doctors stop prescribing testosterone, Over 65 they usually do not prescribe it as the studies showed no changes in mood, health benefits, or longevity. The only reason they would is if he is suffering from a severe lack of libido and by the wording of his post he more than likely is not.
You should work for a source, because you almost sold me except I already take it and I don't feel any of those "benefits" you wrote about. Read some studies on age and testosterone replacement. You may open your eyes a bit.

I can share stories from old men I know that are on trt. Its not a miracle drug you are making it out to be. I am in my 50's and let me tell you something, after a workout I feel it the next day like I was hit by a bus. And my doc has my bloods in the upper level.

IrishMack's picture

Pussy negs are awesome. Point taken. Everyone seems to want to push people to go on trt.

You do come out with some very funny ideas Mack - 'the studies showed no changes in mood, health benefits, or longevity'. I would think that running Testosterone at any age will do nothing but help with mood/mental health, energy levels and gaining muscle etc, I guess now half the guys on here are scratching their heads as to why they are on TRT.

That along with not investing in supplements to counteract the harmful sides of running steroids and just relying on nutrients from food you eat. I have yet to hear a single person agree with that.

IrishMack's picture

You may never get a single person HERE to agree with it. Question everything. I mean this is a world where knowledge is right at our fingertips, dissertations online, doctors notes, websites dedicated to scientific articles, proven case studies on both positive and negative benefits, yet most never look for the entire answer and only what they want to see. I hope someday I stop trying to understand because it truly puzzles me.

IrishMack's picture

I guess because no one gives a shit about anyone else health. And when you try to help you get cancel cultured. I'll take my ball and go home.

Fuck no.. not over a pussy neg.. ownership I guess a thing of the past??? Sad

At my gym there two guys late 60's, both 200+lbs and pushing weight. One of them I'm cycle suspect, but both have to be TRT.. Great muscle structure and I can only hope to be that active at 70... Im going to ask them next time I see them... lol

If this is true and you're not a troll.
Get an appointment with a endocrinologist and ask for advice there. I would not risk experimenting at that age. Not wise to do so.

You serious ?)

cavemangeorge's picture

Yes Sir, very serious. This is going to be a one time only cycle to get me jumpstarted when I return to the gym

Whatever natural production you have left at your age, your 6 week run will most likely destroy the little test you’re producing

Not a good idea. Anavar increase LDL decreases HDL, increases blood pressure, hard on kidneys because it is metabolized by them. At your age I’d leave gear alone, get bloods at doctor and see if can get TRT

Well sir at 76 and 150 lbs I'd say leave the drugs alone! Apparently ur healthy enough to workout 6days a week. I wldnt even want to tell u to eat more..If anything, go to a endo doc to have ur hormones checked.

What has ur diet been like?
U started working out kinda late in life (which is awesome), so I wonder how much knowledge u have about foods anabolic effects?

Also, u call urself a body builder, what is ur workout program?

I worked out with weights on and off since i was 32 yrs old. never had the time to do it full time because i was always at work. I worked many hrs a day sometimes 7 days a week. I retired 7 years ago from the longshoremans union 49 yrs there. once retired I hit the gym steady. I do a split routine Chest, shoulders, biceps on Mon and Thurs. Back and Biceps on Tues anf Fri legs on Wed and Sat. Abs every day. I eat everything in moderation. cavemangeorge

0newheelup's picture

Well u sound like a beast. I'm positive u don't need drugs to start back workingout from ur time off. Start slow and then turn it up as much as u can handle.. Do go talk to a doctor about u hormones. That wld be the best thing u can do.. Do u know how many calories ur eating per day?

Take the var sublingually - let it dissolve under your tongue. Avoid the liver almost entirely. Changes to cholesterol are almost entirely due to enzyme response to oral steroids passing through the liver. Sublingual administration will mitigate this.
