Adderal and AAS - HELP

ad

Hi everybody. To make a long story short here's the facts.

I went into my doctor yesterday for thyroid bloodwork, and we started talking. It came up that I'm not feeling as mentally sharp as I used too, and that my preformance at work has taken a hit. After a few minutes of talking, he said he wanted to put me on adderal 30mg for a month to see how I react to it.

The thing is... I'm 4 weeks into my current cycle. Im worried about:
- appetite supression. Don't think I can eat 6500 cals on adderal.
- weight loss. Now is not the time for that. When I'm cutting for a competition is fine. Not now.

And most of all - will it interact with any of the counpounds I'm taking ?
Currently on test e, test prop, and proviron.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks very much!

Me and my wife use it to fuck like we did on Coke. As you age and mature Coke is out of the question. So my wife keeps telling me.......

I know a lot of people who use it and also use AAS. You should be just fine.

Holy shit bro. That is quite a high dose, and it is interesting that you don't have any issues with sleep and appetite. Impressive.
It goes to show how different we all are.
But yeah, Adderall can be a highly effective drug when truly needed. I am a zombie when I miss a dose, which I do from time to time to give my body a break. I also half my dose on a regular basis on off days when I don't have a ton of shit to do.

I'm on 10mg of adderall and it seems to make me more hungry, I'm able to eat more especially in the morning while on it. I only take it about 4 times a week to try to keep from becoming dependant, I take it on work days where the extra focus is needed... I've heard mixed things on this kind of dosage, some have said it's necessary to take it EVERY day. My doctor said he prefers people to take it only as needed, feels like there is less risk with it. I also agree with the previous comment that it's about the best preworkout there is, it keeps me zoned in and focused, I love the stuff but then I'm not just taking it recreationally.

ask your doc about STRATTERA INSTEAD. It's schedule 3 as oppose to schedule 2 in the United states, it works for adhd, and isn't a stimulant like addy or vyvanse. problem solved. You can get refills as oppose to keep gettin scripts for addy. IT WORKS AMAZINGLY. I love it, I can't take adhd meds like stimulants on gear because it kills my appetite.
The doc would actually be more apt to prescribe it to you because it's less risk.

Adderall is a very effective drug...for its purpose. But 30 mg is a damn high dose; especially to be "testing out". 10 mg would be more than sufficient. And it will definitely suppress your hunger, and promote weight loss while your body adjusts(months).
I was on Ritalin for about 20 years, and was switched to 20mg Adderall 2 years ago. I literally lost 40 pounds in 4 months before making a huge effort to reverse it. I seriously had friends and family members concerned that I had cancer or some terrible addiction. I have gained back all the weight, plus some, but it has taken work. And even after all this time, I find it difficult to eat the way I should.
I suspect you would benefit from Adderall, but your Dr's plan seems reckless and irresponsible.

I have really bad luck with doctors. When I was younger and tore my meniscus, another doctor prescribed me a NSAID and told me to squat more to strengthen my legs. At the time I was a 405 squatter.

Needless to say I didn't go back there.

after reading this I'm CONVINCED you're from a small town, where all the doctors get their degrees from the toilet store.

Well last time I went to the doctor which was about 3 weeks ago or so, he told me he didn't feel right to continue the adderal script cuz of the higher risk of increase blood pressure and his bigger concern was higher risk of stroke being on AAS and mixing w/ adderal. I called in my prescription to get the refill and it's a no go. I've had this doctor since i was like 8 yrs old so he's not just giving shit out left & right to me lol something to think about tho if the doctor takes it away for safety concerns.

I am disturbed that your doctor would recommend that for mental sharprness when there are a thousand variable that can affect such things .. to prescribe medication especially adderol for that is irresponsible

Justanotherguy's picture

That's true, I did just go for routine bloodwork. We really are a nation of prescription drug abusers.

Bro, it's my favorite pre-workout to be honest. I am probably addicted to it as said below, but until I saw this forum post, I never thought about it. 30 mg is what I use PWO and I'm focused and ready to tear up the gym. Certainly no appetite suppression. I don't think it messes with my AAS, I'm nice and big and lean and strong and I've been using it for a while. But like what was said below, I'm not going to be stupid here. I'm not recommending it to you. I don't know how you will react. I realize telling you I like it is an endorsement, but like all drugs, it works for ME and I know a lot of guys in the gym that use it as a PWO. But I have not discussed in detail with any of them if they are having any side effects.

Justanotherguy's picture

It's not easy to admit what you said, I admire your courage.

All said and done, it comes down to how I react to it. I'm certainly in no rush to get on it. Thanks a lot for your post, it's cer something to consider. I still think I'll try the modiwake first. If that doesn't work... We shall see.

Dickkhead's picture

I just naively never gave it much thought bro. Being addicted to something doesn't automatically mean it's destroying your health. You're just addicted and when you stop taking the drug there will be withdrawal symptoms that certainly can be extremely uncomfortable. I certainly will start reading a lot more about Adderall addiction now that I'm aware of it.

kodiakGRRL's picture

any good honest internist will tell you that any prescription medicine is poison it alters body chemistry for a desired affect. the fact that a gp will suggest adderol because someone isn't as "Sharp" as they used to be is somewhat disturbing .... we have become a nation of bandaid seekers and pill takers

Justanotherguy's picture

Thats 3 for you'll be fine, and 2 for no, it's addictive.

Thanks for all your help guys, good to know it won't interact with any AAS. I think I'll hold off until my cycle is over. In the mean while I think I'll try modiwake, heard it's much milder and not as addictive. Should that not work out, I'll try the adderal at a lower dose.

Justanotherguy's picture

Lol no bro, I was just taking a score. Yoire absolutely right, after all it is METHAMPHETAMINE. It's not something that can be taken lightly. I've never had a problem with addiction, but I sure as hell don't want to start now. Thanks for the link by the way.

irongame427's picture

It's not methamphetamine its a mix of 4 different amphetamine salts. That's like saying superdrol and masteron are the same because they share a similar chemical structure. Adderal and meth are two totally different drugs. Meth is extremely addicting, adderalls additive potential aren't even in the same class.

To op. It effects everyone differently. I'm supposed to take it but I can't stand the stuff. Kills my appetite to the point whee I can't eat at all. Makes me emotionless I hate the way it makes me feel. Also in alof of people it will increaE your heart rate and Bp as it is a stimulant. Combined wth gear is not a good idea. But were all different and react differently.

And lastly, remember addiction and physical dependence are two totally different things. Your body can be dependent on something but you are not addicted to it, your body is. But it's totally different then addiction from a drug addict standpoint.

Justanotherguy's picture

Thanks for sharing your experience with it. Regardless of its composition, I'm still wary of its addictive potential.

Increase heart rate and blood pressure mixed with AAS is asking for trouble... So I think I'll stay clear for a while.

Another thing for the con list is the withdrawal that it causes.

HeyyyArnold's picture

30mg seems like a high starting point if you've never used it before.. either way I take 20mg Extended Release which helps with working the night shift and I dont have any suppressed eating problems I'm always hungry. The only thing the doctor was worried about with the adderal and AAS combo was the increased chance of stroke, especially with taking an A.I. He said he wasn't sure if he'd continue to prescribe the Adderal ... I hear its addictive but I can take it on work days and then not take it for a couple days and don't think anything of it.

konig's picture

Adderall is amphetamine... highly addictive and life changing... long term use can put you in the same boat as long term use with crystal addicts... speaking from experience..

Justanotherguy's picture

Thanks for the heads up bro, that's also ine of my biggest fears.
