HGH. SQ vs IV?
ad
Does anyone have any experience with IVing HGH vs subq? I did a bit of reading and the few studies done show better availability when administering it via IV. Not too sure how it’d feel with the preservatives in the BAC, so that’s why I was wondering if anyone had experience with this.
Thanks

Why would you even bother? The time, money and effort. Subq is for a reason, you’re getting the aminos regardless. Plus it’s not practical.
I’m not bothering. Simply curious. I was browsing and saw it mentioned somewhere. It made me curious to see if it actually made a difference. Read a little bit, a few small studies that did it, that concluded IV has better bioavailability. However, they didn’t give enough data, ie if the iv Hgh had preservatives. Looking at the numbers as well, while yes it did improve, it wasn’t enough of an improvement (average 10-20%) to justify even bothering.
I’m simply curious. I know what studies say and all, but overall I trust the advice/knowledge from members here, who actual have first hand experience with this shit. I have no intention of going this way.
If it was like a 500% increase, I may think twice then
rofl but nah fuck that extra shit.
Wont you mostly just piss it out? If i ever walked in on my boy and he is shooting up his aas or hgh imma smack him and drag him to rehab
Please do not ever try this.
Solely out of curiosity, may I ask why you say this?
I’m very unlikely to actually make this my actual routine. Especially after everyone’s advice here, where I value and trust everyone’s advice better than studies. I did come across several studies that did show it having better bioavailability by IV. However looking at the numbers, (to the best of my understanding of them), it seems at max…I’d maybe see a 10-20% increase in bioavailability. To me, that is NOT worth the risk. I’ll most likely stick to subq, since it releases a little slower, I can use a regular 1/2” insulin syringe and not a leur lock that wastes anything, and I’m starting on a lower dose (3iu when I wake up), so I think it slower releasing would probably benefit me more.
I’m a naturally curious person. I love learning about this stuff, hence all my random pain in the ass questions. I’m very grateful this community is awesome and puts up with me, lmao.
My friend, this is really not a good idea.
At all.
While we are all searching to optimize our person protocols, the very question you are posing is very troubling in so many ways.
I could say many things , however, I always go back to the keep it simple stupid philosophy.
Is the current common protocol for HGH suddenly somehow not working?
Do not reinvent the wheel on the this subject, please.
I understand the curiosity, however if you insist on mainlining compounds, please don't.
Nono, I’m not insisting on IV. At all. Even looking at the numbers, the small gain imo isn’t worth it. I wasn’t trying to reinvent the wheel, not by any means. I’ve taken A LOT of the advice I’ve been given and applied it to what I was doing. I started as that “newbie” who just wanted to blast any and everything, until someone took a good amount of time, someone I don’t even know, from here and explained to me with tons of detail why that’s such a bad idea, why it’s important to dial in my TRT dose, why it’s important not to, as a new user, start a cycle with a stack of compounds I’ve never used. I can truly say everything he said made 100000000% perfect sense and completely changed my mind, possibly preventing me from hurting myself.
This is why I ask questions. Even if they seem stupid. I value yours and everyone here, opinions and advice. I know I’m a pain in the ass
lmao but I truly do appreciate everyone’s concern, for someone they don’t even know.
I just happened to see somewhere someone talking about IV HGH. So I was naturally curious to see how often that was done, the pros/cons, etc. The few studies I found, said it had better availability to IV. It just doesn’t give enough info. So I can’t rely on those studies.
Based on what Dee said, my plan is to just stick with subq for now, since I’m only starting at 3iu when I wake up. As it’s a lower dose, I figure the slower release of subq would be more beneficial. I could be wrong, but either way, it’s safer than IV.
I would like to see a real credible study on GH intramuscular vs Sub q. I don't remember seeing one. And yea IV is rediculous
Mate, I'm glad you are not considering it.
The question you posed also, was not stupid. Troubling but not stupid.
I haven't even heard of top Olympia contenders IVing HGH. I cannot imagine a scenario outside of severe traumatic burn victims where IV would even be considered.
The current protocols for HGH administration are so, because they work.
As you were saying you are new to all this. So my advice is just keep it slow and simple. Real gains take time, consistency, & commitment. Not crazy protocols.
Good luck.
I remember hearing about some famous fitness/bodybuilder person IVing hgh, maybe Boston Lloyd?
I'm willing to bet there's not a big difference, maybe slightly but not enough to be worth it
I’m not sure. I read a few studies about it, with the results showing better bioavailability then subq. Idk if it’s enough to even risk it, and the people here that I trust over these studies or tests, don’t recommend it. This is why I ask the questions I do, even after researching, because 1) I trust people more here that have first hand experience AND I’ve seen how far they have gone to help not just me, but others. People who they don’t even know. 2) the studies were small and don’t provide all the data, ie if the IV Hgh had preservatives in it. I’d imagine that burning like a mother fucker.
I value the opinion of everyone here, I may be a pain with all my questions lmao but I’m naturally curious and I love learning about all this stuff.
Well normally GH is used sub q or intramuscular but I have heard of a few bodybuilders and powerlifters taking it way to damn far and having GH as an IV. That's going to the extreme and isn't necessary in my opinion. Both sub q and intramuscular are the norm. IV isn't
I need to mainline HGH.
Spell check
No need to mainline HGH.
Lol. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8949572/
That was one source I read that did a small study which showed people who took hgh IV vs subq, IV had better bioavailability. I have no idea if there were preservatives in it or not. Not that I’m proud of it, but in my way younger years, I’ve done a lot worse. However, this is why I come here and ask people who have ACTUAL first hand knowledge, because not every aspect of the study is shown. IE, if the IV HGH had preservatives. I’d think the preservatives, based on past experiences, would probably burn like a mother fucker.
Dude if you’re mainlining gh because a study showed it took igf from 160 in the sub q group to 185 in the IV group you’re a fucking idiot.
Sorry for the language but the difference is so damn small and the risk is so much higher I just don’t see it being worth it.
Don’t apologize for the language. I come here specifically to be called out on bullshit because I KNOW you guys will. Exactly what you said, is what I said in another comment I believe. I went back to the one study, and it wasn’t even the average - it was only the mean. So the average could be way less. Even if it was a 10-20% improvement, that’s not enough for me to take the risk.
Damn that's crazy. I wouldn't trust any UGL anything straight to the vein haha
Neither would I... I won't even mainline meth from the corner dealer unless I met him first. I have standards.
------ A man has to draw the line somewhere haha!
Lmfao that made me laugh
It’s absolutely a risk. Not that I’m proud of it, but I’ve done worse years ago when I was a lot younger. That being said, I read a few studies that showed better bioavailability from IV. However, it’s not disclosed that I saw, if it had preservatives or not. I’d imagine they’d prob burn like a mother fucker. I also tend to trust the members here with actual first hand experience over some of these studies, hence all my questions. I love learning, and especially considering it’s ultimately something that will end up in my body one way or the other, I like to know as much as I can. I’m not trying to do this whole thing blindly. I’d like to do it correctly & safely as possible.
Do you mean intravenous or inter-muscular? I’ve never heard of putting HGH right into the circulatory system.
Think he means IM
No, I did mean IV.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8949572/
This was one of the sources I read (unfortunately it was a smaller study) that concluded IV Hgh had more bioavailability. It just makes me curious, as if I could use less with the same results, it MAY be worth considering.
I know there would be risks, obviously. I’ll be completely honest…it’s been a long time, I’ve been sober going on 10 years, but I’ve put way worse in myself. Not that I’m proud of it, but it is what it is.
Are you considering this? Cmon man don't. Just stick with intramuscular man. Lol you're thinking way too much.
Not necessarily considering it, I’ve been doing subq, I’m very hesitant at putting things in my veins again, but when I researched it a bit, it said it had better bioavailability. However, I trust you guys more with actual first hand experience.
Do you think IM (not iv) over subq HGH is worth it?
If you had a past with IV drug usage then I wouldn't even be thinking about taking anything IV. Anything injected intramuscular will give you higher blood levels than anything injected sub q. Now the kicker is sub q provides a more sustained release due to poorer blood circulation in fatty tissue. So both have their benefits. I've seen most inject GH sub q though. GH has a short half life so sub q helps a bit.
I also would say with 99% certainty that even if it was slightly better, I don’t think I’d go that route regardless. I don’t need track marks up and down my arms & being accused of using again. I’ve made too much progress over the last decade to risk that. I’m just an overall curious person and love learning about all this stuff.
Well if you did do that then I'm sure it would make it easier for you to go back to those old ways. Now I've never had a drug issue but Not fking worth it.
Yea I remember seeing this long ago.
