Cholesterol when to stop a blast on orals? ⚙️

ad

What is considered low or high HDL/LDL cholesterol on a blast with test and orals when looking at bloodwork?

How do you know objectively when to stop a blast based on cholesterol? Is there a number?

For how long can you handle out of range numbers?

Thanks guys!

run cardarine after the orals to restore lipids. but the ranges on the tests give you the numbers you should look for. its entirely up to you. but remember bodybuilding is not a sprint, its a marathon. dont beat yourself up to bad because then your body wont last as long.

Good advice thanks!

HDL doesn’t mean anything for health disease risk, I look at LDL and ApoB. Anything out of the reference range on those two is when I pull the plug on an oral, or add in Ezetemide.

Good insights thanks, yeah Apo B is important as well I hear.

I keep my hdl above 30 (preferably in the 40s) and my ldl as low as possible, mid cycle blood work had me at a 30 hdl and 58 ldl. There's not a specific number because everyone is different, and the amount of change in your blood work is important along with the numbers. Objectively high cholesterol is bad, I'm a big fan of nuking the ldl and keeping hdl up. Cardio , clean diet, sups, and ancillaries if needed, it all comes down to your body and how much you're willing to risk.

This is gonna be lame because I know you’re looking for an exact number. But it’s up to you and how much you want risk your health for your goals. I would personally stop a blast if I get mid cycle HDL under 30.

But I’m also not as serious about this as some other people who would risk to go lower. It’s up to you and how much you want to risk your health. Personally my health and longevity is more important than pushing into the deep waters of a blast.

Appreciate the honesty!

It’s called going off of your blood tests the high and low levels on those. You go get tested if its high then you need to make adjustments doesn’t matter if you are on gear or not.

Obviously you want to look at bloodowrk, I'm asking about objective numbers tho and ranges when you hope on Var/Winnie etc. <20 ng/dL, 20-30 ng/dL, >40 ng/dL etc.

It doesn’t matter there is no specific number, if it’s high it is high. It’s not good for you that is why those cycles are short or you should be on a statin. If you Lipids are all mess up on those you need to mitigate it or get off of the gear.

the lab i used had an a.i. with some good advice. mostly obvious things like avoid eating trash at nighttime. but it was nice that it gave me certain things to input so it could better inform on not only things that were problematic but also solutions to go with it. To top it off, it made the list with priority items to focus on. Id be lying if I said some of it seemed generic and obvious but sometimes guys like me tend to overlook the obvious.
