Blast and cruise or pct at age 37
ad
I've done many cycles over the past 10 years. I'm just your average gym bro at 6' 220 pounds. Working out since I've been 15 and have been in the gym ever since. I have always just blast and pct. I've never done anything other than test at 500mgs and anavar here and there.
I am now approaching age 37 and have had our kids. Would you recommend just blast and cruise year round with test? I have grown tired of the pct blues and losing sometimes everything on a rough recovery. I regularly get bloods done and checked.
The only downsides I can see is :
- pinning 2x a week basically forever
- taking long vacations on a flight and not having prescription
What would your I put be for a someone who's serious about the gym but not a competitor? TIA

Interesting, I have HcG on hand and was debating on running it because my balls are definitely less full. Optically there is benefits but I miss other things. I really want kids now which I can’t believe considering where I was mentally years ago. What was the HcG like for you? Seems like there could be bad sides, I’ve read a lot of different takes on that.
anvilI didn't have any sides from HCG. Did 500 MWF, my balls came back fine. Like everything else, there a effects wanted and unwanted from everything we do. If you want a kid get off gear PCT and get it done. My fertility numbers currently are in the very low zone. But 6 months from now I bet I can have them back enough to make another kid, which I do not want.
I played it safe and just pct after every cycle in my 30s and it was like a crap shoot on how much I kept. Tired of playing that game. Now that we've had our child, it's time to go on year round. I've seen pro's at my gym who are Olympia qualifiers every year, and they keep popping out kids. So there's definitely a way to make it happen regardless.
Maybe I am misunderstanding the dynamics at play. I guess even though Test is suppressed by AAS and the balls shrink up, semen production still happens but at a stunted rate? Fertility and testosterone suppression are obviously separate issues so that would make sense even though they are tied to the same reproductive system. Thanks for the info too.
I've never noticed at difference in semen (load size) being on or off AAS personally but the nuts sure do shrink up. But testosterone (low/high) can certainly affect the quality and quantity of sperm. Everyone is different though. Are you currently blasting and cruising? May I ask what your protocol is?
My first cycle started 10/4/24. My base cycle has been roughly 450mg Test E/wk(shots MWF). I tried Tren E and A(Low dose, short duration) but I had weird Bp related sides recently so I haven’t done any Tren in 16 days and Test for 6 days. Trying to game plan my next move here. I want to continue to gain and cruise.
I gotcha. Yeah pct absolutely sucks balls. I've sometimes lost eveeything or even looked worse than before starting. Cycling for me was absolutely pointless. It's hard to push through that pct and come out ahead. Guess I'm not man enough for it.
Back when I started my first cycle 10 years ago, blast and cruise was only recommended for the "pro's" and cycling on and off was healthier and better per bro science. Now it's seems the tables have switched these days saying the complete opposite all over social media.
But I always told myself after we have a kid, I'd blast and cruise. I'll probably blast 500mg test 12 weeks and cruise at 150mg for 12 weeks, repeat. We'll see what the bloods say.
Yup, judging from everything I read from back then to now: it seems to have evolved. I think prioritizing well being is the strategy now a days rather cycling depend on individual factors of course. Everything has evolved; Ai, Pct, Hgh, AAS in general. Even the stock of the SRCs indicate outdated compounds and peptides that have phased out. I made good progress in just a few weeks and I don’t want to rollback every time I cycle like you’re saying.
I saw you post your bloods on another post. That's why I'm too puss to try tren..ha! What website did you order labs from and what panel did you order? Looking for a new one to try out.
Keep in mind not all states allow direct access testing…
Copy that. Luckily my state isn't on there.
I went through a site call Request A Test and then LabCorp. I don’t have insurance or PcP so it was very expensive. You can get a “Body Builder Panel” which is what I did. There was also Male Health-Low T, Male Health-Basic, Male Health-Comprehensive. There are also female tests that cover a lot of the same stuff. Going through a doctor may be the best option but I’m not 100% on your circumstances.
I have great insurance. But as much as I want to track bloods, I'm sure it won't be covered and raise red flags.
They do not care. Some will judge, but go to any doc and be honest. “I have been using exogenous hormones and am concerned about x and x”. They will order bloods.
I'll give it a try
That is your best bet. Find a good Doc that you can count on so you have a person for consult and to order labs. In the long run you will save money and have a medical contact that knows your situation.
Appreciate your feedback!
I’ve always felt like pct was a hard and challenging process then just blasting and cruising. I honestly didn’t want to deal with it either. I knew if I dove into this world it wouldnt be a one cycle and I didnt want to deal with the lows and mental aspect of losing progress. I also didnt want to deal with bloodwork. I decided to hold off until I knew I was down to blast and cruise and do bloods. Bought my first cycle and pct at 24 then ended up selling it at the gym lmao. Started trt through a clinic at 32. Now I’m 33 getting ready to blast. 2x a week year round isn’t all that bad. If you’re getting blood work and down to pin then do it.
Thanks for the input man!
