Hematocrit at altitude
Does anyone in here run gear at altitude? I took a 6 year break to have kids. Now I plan to B&C test. Pre-cycle bloodwork hematocrit was at 50%, no gear, healthy, living at 5,500ft above see level. Pcp said this was normal even though it's at the high range. Back on 500mg of test only at week 6 and hematocrit is 55%. I'm reading lots of forums about athletes or folks on trt ; hematocrit can creep to the 55%-56% range at altitude and this can be the norm for them. According to a few different sources.
I have zero sides, BP is 117/80 constantly, no headaches, no dizziness. Just flushing every once in awhile. I'll still donating blood here soon and will continue to monitor it. But for anyone who uses gear at altitude, what levels have you noticed in you blood work that seem normal for you?

MARKYHi bud!
Believe me, guys who use high dosage of test or nandrolone may have even higher hematocrit levels — over 55-60%. It is especially noticeable when they use them along with oxymetholone. There’s no point in trying to stay within reference ranges before the cycle ends. It’s a waste of time.
You should try to lower your hematocrit levels during a cycle if it causes a decline in your living standards. Also, you should do that if it becomes a real obstacle to your training.
I live at 5000 ft but occasionally will spend a couple months at sea level. I run ~50 (on gear) at sea level and 53-58 at altitude. Pcp said not to worry about it unless it goes over 60 and even then it’s not an emergency. Obviously, do whatever a medical professional tells you over random strangers on the internet.
For sure. I'm just trying to pills what average hematocrit levels people at altitude on gear are seeing. As every Dr will also say something different as well. My new pcp was a clown and said creatine was destroying my kidneys and my creatinim levels were at 1.28. So I dumped him and searching for a new one I can trust and be open with. I usually order my own bloods and run them by pcp.

I have a meter at home and I'm always testing because there's a lot of supplements that can bring it down in just a matter of a few days.
Naringin
IP6 + Inositol
Methylene Blue
Telmisartan
Resveratrol
Turmeric
Green Tea/extract
Anything that will chelate iron basically. Also stay away from red meat, vitamin C and sugars. Sugars can be the worst.
