I had an amazing experience this year. I took my 17 yr old daughter with me. We sat in the same deer stand. 2 bucks came out 190 yds out. I told her we were both gonna shoot at the same time. Counted down 3, 2, 1...2 shots simultaneously, 2 bucks down. Unforgettable moment!
That's awesome bro.....a moment forever. I have a pic with my son after we nailed a bobcat by spotlight. He was like 4 years old at time and was sitting in my lap when I took the shot
He was trying to look down the scope.....stressful moment lol but pulled it off.

Sorry to hear that man. It's def one of my top passions. Being in the stand alone gives me plenty of time to think and just be present. Puts me 20' closer to God. Hope 2024 season brings you better luck!

Nice bro! I made deer tenderloin last night and had leftovers with a salad for lunch today. By far the best meat!
I've got a couple tenderloins in the freezer actually. This least season was a good one for me. Got a pellet smoker for Xmas, so going to try that with some of them!

1 buck and 4 does. The buck and 2 does i shot with bow, and two does with rifle.
That is amazing! Deer are scarce, and hunters are plentiful in my state. I’ve only seen one legal shooter buck during hunting season in the last 4 years. I shot him but couldn’t keep him because another hunter drew 1st blood. I need to get out of state tags. Well done on the 5 deer.

Haven't done that yet actually. Good idea. We also like to make meatloaf with it. Sometimes we will do 1lb deer with 1lb beef combo to make a loaf. We also get half a cow, so freezers are def full most of the year

I interchange my beef ground for venison whenever. Just add little beef fat so it sticks better. Best chili and taco meat there is.
Same, chili and tacos with deer is a staple in our house.
Mmmmm. I usually get it ground or as sausage. Ground for chili or spaghetti and sausage with my eggs. The processor I take my deer to does a damn good sausage. I’ve had some turned into brats as well. Regular brats are a little too rich for me. Deer brats I can eat 3-4 in one sitting.
Can't go wrong with sausage. My processor makes it in a 1lb pork and 4lb ground deer ratio.
