First Time Ever: Should I really do Test?

ad

Hey All,

So a bit of background first. Basically I have been natural my whole life. My parents were old day body builders and basically always told me to stay away. I have been lifting basically since I was like 14? And did sports all my life. Never took things too seriously since parent's normalizing it made it as routine as brushing your teeth. Plus I liked to eat and drink. So while I wasn't exactly strong fat, but I wasn't wowing anyone with my physique (hovered around 215-220lbs and 15-16% bf with pretty good lifts)

I got a little more serious back in 2018 and got down to 195lbs (I am 6ft even) and about 11-12% BF. Was pretty good for me, did actually do some strength and fitness things with some friends just for fun.

And then I got hit by a car.

It wasn't horrific but got hit on my left side so my left shoulder through pec area was all torn up. My hip was fucked up. My knee was fucked up. And my spine had a nice bowing to it that left me listing and with 3 herniated discs.

5 years later, couple surgeries, and a bunch of physical therapy and I am now 31 and have been back in the gym for about 5 months. Oh boy. How do I come back from this...

So I got to thinking, steroids work. I am not planning on getting stupid so I can compete - I just don't want to feel like a 90 year old man struggling with 5lbs dumbbells (exaggerating here but the point still stands)

Putting in the due diligence I was thinking, 20mg Anavar (10mg 2x daily) for 6 weeks then PCT with Tamoxifen and Clomid for about 45 days.

However, I am now seeing people go on about the Anavar trap. Which is the last thing I want, but its why I wanted to avoid Test as taking actual artificial test seemed like more danger. Plus I am fairly testy to begin with so the last thing I want is to test rage out or something.

Let me know your thoughts. I'd really rather not post pics because I am obviously looking like shit.

You're 5 months back in the gym. If you get your diet and training on point. Really get disciplined with it, you can make some good gains. Muscle memory is a thing as well, if you had it before you will gain what you lost faster. Food will dictate more than anything how much you will grow. Don't go on just some "bulk" that a lot of people do where they eat anything and everything in sight. No, do a proper bulk with a shit ton of protein moderate carbs and fats so you don't get fat. Stay hydrated as well. Go at least a good 6 more months to get back a good foundation. You don't want to build your base off of AAS.

You are going to be worse off with anavar than hopping on test. You'll shut your natural production down, not to mention various other issues blood related wise. You gotta PCT for both. More than likely lose everything you gained. Anavar really isn't some miracle compound. Especially ran solo without Test. When ran correctly it can be amazing but a lot of people don't know how to run it. Just never run orals solo. You will fuck yourself. Like Rusty said, connective tissue just doesn't grow nearly as fast as muscle. Which is why so many athletes injure ligaments, tendons, joints. It's best to just take it easy when recovering. Trust me, one of my brothers who nearly had a pro career in sports fucked himself because he never let himself heal properly. Tore his acl amd mcl multiple times. When you're fully healed, them again go in easy with AAS.

Well this is good advice, but I am ( I think) passed recovery. Injuries were 5 years ago so I am passed healing and physical therapy. But all my muscle mass has wasted away. Imagine if you just went basically sedentary for 5 ish years.

Yea I thought about that. The extra body fat is part of it too. Amazing how, despite being intended as a store of energy, your body will cannibalize everything but the body fat when you are laid up.

Tell it to me straight? How bad is the "anavar trap"? I was wanting to get some muscle back and rid some body fat so I can get back to a good base state work with then re-assess. I know I am not that old, but I am also not 25 anymore. It only gets harder from here.
