-1 HGH and insulin level
Querying the collective wisdom of this forum:
- started a cycle 5 months ago, 500 test E weekly
- added 100 mast E weekly at month 3 to help with water retention (which it did)
- added epistane for 4 weeks, which I just wrapped up (intention was var but it made me feel like shit so I scrapped it)
- ran 2 iu morning/evening of HGH
Bloods were mostly good on cycle, lipids a bit fucked obviously. My diet is pretty solid. I’m a bit heavy in sat fat which doesn’t help the lipids, but very low sugar intake.
Now off cycle and back to trt alone.
My last blood work I ordered the wrong test and got one that checked Insulin levels. Generally I have just tested blood glucose and A1C which have always been fine. My insulin level was super high, 59 iu/ml vs a reference range max of 18. My blood sugar was only slightly elevated (115 mg/dL vs a reference range of 65-99), and my A1C was 5.1, which is in reference. I only fasted for around 4 hours prior to my blood test, because that’s a long time to eat nothing ;).
(Edit: should mention I’m around 235, 5’8” and high teens body fat.)
Here’s the question: is the GH causing a crazy rise in insulin alone? If not, what else would be responsible? Is fluctuation to this level of insulin normal?
I couldn’t find many examples similar to this, so any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks team!

Sounds like a pretty normal fluctuation being non-fasted. Its highly variable depending on what you ate. I diubt the hgh is playing any part. If you're still worried, go get a fasted test ran. Cant hurt.
