Started HRT and now gravitating towards first full cycle

ad

I'm 41 6'2 215 lbs.

I've decided to take charge of my options and started researching. I've got some questions and any help would be greatly appreciated.

My first lab work (18 months ago) reported my testosterone @ 144 so my doctor placed me on a expensive gel. Insurance paid for the prescription for the first 12 months. I felt the best I'd ever felt in 10 years. On my annual lab work my level came back at 245. The insurance company stopped covering my testosterone gel. Apparently, insurance companies can dictate ones well being by simple numbers and my number was over their "normal" range by 5 points. The minimum is 240 and since I was at 245 it was decided that I had to stop taking the gel or pay $350.00 out of my pocket every month. I paid for the medicine for 2 months. After paying close to a grand, I decided to start looking elsewhere for the gel. I purchased six different orders from three different pharmacies around the globe. My results were far from what I was hoping. One shipment, I never seen and two I felt were not nearly close to effective. The other three.. let's just say; got me through the low of being miserable. My wife and I, did in fact, enjoyed the first 12 months as I chased her around like newlyweds.

A little more useless knowledge, I used to work out quite a bit in my early 30's and grew naturally to 230lbs. My bench hovered around 335lbs and squats around low 400's. So I know how to get there in relation to working out. Unfortunately without the test, I feel "like a group of pigs looking at a wrist watch" when it comes to energy or motivation. Quite useless.

I ordered Sustanon 250 and made my first injection @ 125 mg. After 3 weeks I do not feel much different. That said, I researched a little more and have came to the conclusion that Sustanon isn't that great due to the esters so I ordered Test E and Test Prop. My question is: How much Test E should I start off with and should I use the Test Prop to get the Test in my system even though I already used Sustanon 3 weeks ago? Is 250 mg every two weeks

The final question is all the comment on PCT and any additional stuff I need to get ready. I see CG, Nolva, Aromasin, Clomid are the best for this. Would I need it at all if I am only using Test E only @ 250 mg every two weeks?

If your doc is willing to write u a script for test you can buy the bottle from Costco for about $61. Get your protocol dialed in first before even considering running a cycle. You'll be amazed how well you will perform in the gym just getting dialed in and getting your diet squared away.

Got it. Thanks for the info.

Sure Thing.

I can't comment on sourcing....... but if you get a doctor prescribed your good to go.

Dosing I would recommend 150 IU three times a week.

You're welcome.

Thank you for the info. I will order the HCG today. Before I order, are all manufacturers of HCG basically the same? Will Corion or Zyhcg 5000 be sufficient? And if so, how much and how often?

I am probably going to always be on TRT and I believe I understand that side of the house. I've never ran a cycle. I've only injected low mg's of test to find my balance/difference between injections or gel. That said, lately I've started working out again and already seen some improvements from such low test injections. So now I want to gather as much info so I can to determine the safest cycle with the least impact to my body. Also, after reading about all the additional areas, (i.e. PCT, HCG, Anastrozole, Nolvadex) there are many areas to consider. Testicular Atrophy seems to be a default effect so should I go ahead and order the HCG?
Does HCG carry any risks or side effects?

My last blood work was about three months ago. It was performed by my general practice doctor. I was told everything was normal but my test level which was in the low 200's. I manage a normal American diet with 12% body fat.

If you are going to be staying on TRT for the rest of your life you do not need to worry about PCT.

HCG is beneficial and it's not just for testicular atrophy. I would recommend it highly. There are risks and side effects as with anything.

My recommendation before you do anything is to get yourself dialed in with your TRT. Do biweekly injections. Get your blood stable. Then we can Revisit the subject of a cycle. Make sure your E2 are a check. Things do change as you incorporate HCG so you will have to dial in again.

Great work an the 12% body fat.

So are your questions directed towards TRT or running a cycle?

When was the last time you had blood work?

Do you plan on staying on TRT for the rest of your life?

What is your diet like?

What is your body fat percentage?

First off Welcome..2nd fill out your profile for general knowledge..3rd. When was your last blood test?...self medicating without a docs assistance is not usually recommended(pharma test is really good but damn expensive)...but...if you monitor your blood work(to make sure lipids, estro , and liver values are good) regularly you can get test e and have anastrozole on hand for any estrogen bouts and maybe some hcg without paying trt top dollar...then...you can medicate and save...i bite the bullet and pay the trt doc...its not that bad bloods are $65...trt is cheap too for the quality...good luck bro
