Natty free test is 4!

ad

So I complained about Low T symptoms to my doctor and he did run a testosterone test. The results were astounding to me. Total test was 500 but free test was only 4.1. What shocked me was that he said that my numbers don't qualify for trt. As far as I understand, free test is more important than total test. Any opinions out there as to what I should do?

Post up the full blood panel, something is taking the free test and the bloods will show what it is. We need to see the full.

Yeah I just checked the lab results. In fact my free testosterone was 6.4 PG/ml with a range of 6.8-21.5. my total test serum was 506 ng/dl with a range of 348 - 1197. They did not test for shbg or estradiol.

That's a great article. Thank you! I've heard a lot about zinc and how that can help so I'm going to start supplementing with zinc and vitamin D to start.

Being on TRT is not all it is cracked up to be if you are still running cycles. It will permanently shut you down and then you will have to explain to your Doctor why your test levels are all over the place when you are running a cycle. You never said what your symptoms were but as we get older our energy levels change. Have your TSH, T4 and T3 levels checked. Good Luck

Look for natural ways to help elevate free test. Im 39 and have lower total T than you. You wont find an honest doc to prescribe trt at that level. Not knowing your current health status.....lifestyle changes can raise free T. Diet being the primary factor. Dont default to drugs to fix hormone levels automatically. Youre better off trying to optimize what you already produce naturally.
