Complex case in need of help please.

ad

I suffer from terrible anxiety and agoraphobia and am housebound due to the severity of the anxiety.
I am 47 years old, 6ft and 197lbs.
I have been on Valium (Diazepam) daily for over 20 years, originally prescribed for anxiety and also on Citalopram (Celexa).
My diet is limited due to Facebook anxiety groups that have said about diets. Breakfast is a banana and brown bread. Mid morning, handful of cashew nuts. Lunch is a ham sandwich in brown bread. Mid afternoon is a banana, dinner is chicken breast and before bed handful of cashew nuts. I have been on this supposed anti anxiety diet for over a year. I am now scared to try other foods as I think that they will make me feel even more anxious.

My Testosterone levels are 8.7Nmol and estrogen is 54.2.

I have almost zero sex drive and feel anxious all day. I am currently unable to leave my house due to the high anxiety. My house is a tiny one bed rented property. I have no interest in anything anymore, feel irritable, kind of like a foggy head if that makes sense?

My Dr said that my Test levels are fine. Looking on the Internet they should be at least 12.8Nmol for my age. I did do Dianabol only in the 90s for bodybuilding. I tried Test Prop a few years ago. My libido came back and had a lot of energy, but it made my anxiety worse.

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Too much going on here for chaps on a steroid forum for handle imo.
Definitely see a professional for help.
That diet tho, I get the cashews for the seritonin uptake from the b6 but that doesn’t seem like enough food for anybody. There’s other options that might help. Try tossing in some Bone broth to break up the routine a bit. It’s really good for mental health and anxiety. The glycine in it is a bit of a rockstar for anxiety. Plus it taste really good and you can dip that brown bread in it if you want.
I could on with other foods, I just read your diet and I don’t know how you do that every day. Best of luck man wish you the best bro. Peace

I would try a real doctor, not all the internet hacks & quakes. ( Yes, I'm included in that group).

I suggest you find a good endocrinologist and have him do complete blood panels. Also, maybe some in patient therapy would be in order. Sometimes the wrong drugs fight against each other and it is difficult to find the right combo without some experimenting by your doctor. Your condition seems multifaceted and adding test might aggravate the condition

Experts have found that when people with PTSD are given a certain amount of MDMA in a clinical setting, it helps them open up so they can work through traumatic events.

MDMA itself is not approved for legal use because of its history as a recreational drug with the potential for harm, abuse, and addiction. But since 2017, the FDA has deemed the drug’s beneficial effects on PTSD symptoms to be “breakthrough therapy.”

100% bro. I wouldn’t be without my woman although if you find yourself with the wrong one they are more of a headache. Dogs on the other hand although a huge commitment are fucking ace as long as you’re prepared to put the time, effort and money into them.

I would really recommend a professional therapist on this one. Experimenting with AAS given what you have going on does not sound like good thing to do. Could you get a second opinion from a different doc? I would be very careful playing around with self administering TRT with your condition.

Thank you. My Dr said that I should try Amitriptyline (Elavil) along with the other meds.
I did read on the net that a natural plant called Kratom can help anxiety.
It seems that it could be long term benzo use that has increased my anxiety, from what a therapist told me. The withdrawals are meant to be horrific though.

I would seriously drop the diazepam mate.

Thanks so much for the informative reply, really appreciate it.
So definitely no to kratom then. Sadly the many Dr's I have spoken to over the years just want to increase my Diazepam dose or add another one like Klonopin.
I will push myself to get outside every day.
From reading on the net it seems that when people get off benzos after a slow taper, the anxiety actually starts to ease. This may sound crazy, but it's true. I have increased my Diazepam dose a few times over the years..... Almost definitely my anxiety is worse when I increase the dose. No Dr has ever believed this though.

Working out is the best for anxiety. Many studies on this and I know from experience.

I don't think some meatheads (no offense, I'm one too) on a steroid forum are going to solve all your problems. You need professional help dude.
