Axiron experience

ad

My total T levels are around 250, free T of around 3.5. All other blood work indicated everything else was fine, resulting in the doc asking me to get an MRI of my pituitary which turned out normal. I'm in my mid 40's. I had low total T back around 2003, the only other time I had it tested upon suspicion of me doing everything right with diet and exercise but being stuck at 153 lbs and 9%BF (up 25 lbs from where I started).
So I've got this script for Axiron and been using it for almost 4 weeks. Started at two pumps a day in the pits as directed and realize the doctor gave me enough refills to apply more than that if I wanted to. I got a little acne right away, better mood, sort of like it is getting me to low end of normal range.
From what I've read it seems to be self limiting in application to the armpits. Once you get to the application of once per pit levels don't increase that much.
Applying to thin skin around crotch region seems to have given me the shits and painful h-roids.
I'm considering mixing with some DMSO to apply it to other body parts but my main concern is the other shit that's in the mix besides T being carried through my skin.
My overall opinion is that is does something, but retail price is over $350 a month! Insurance refused at first, then after the Axiron co-pay card (available online or through your dr assuming a Lilly sales whore has visited him recently) my insurance covered it, at least through the year then I'll be on something else.
I don't like the idea of skin to skin transfer as with any topical.
I don't apply deodorant until afternoon, hoping the pores will stay open to absorb more and am going to start using an aerosol hoping that will help carry more through.
Not sure at all about PCT, as I have a 6 month supply with no mention by the doc of PCT.

I have an AAS cycle planned, but that is another subject. Not sure how the Axiron is going to play - if it has shut down my HPTA before I even begin.

I am in similiar boat.
I have been on Axiron 6 months or so. 60mg/day and I felt nothing. throwing money down the drain. I had my doc bump me up to 120mg/day (which is max dosage they will prescribe). I kinda getting something out of it but nothing llike I would like. My total T was 294 on 60mg/day. I haven't had it checked on 120mg/day yet.
Either way...I am considering UGL , maybe Test E 300/week. Still reading the forums trying to figure out the best approach for me.

Even 100mg wk of Test E or C would be better. I've adjusted well to about 170mg split twice a week. I'm going to lower it after a month to clean out my system and might try Axiron during PCT. Problem is if you go with your doctors route and legally prescribed, he might say you only need a shot every two weeks. You want it twice a week.

I've been taking axiron for 7 weeks at 60mg aday. I don't thing that it does much as far as raising your test enough to help you in the gym. I'm having test done in 5 weeks and will let everyone know how much it raised my levels. not to sure if doing a cycle is a good idea but after i see my test level, if its not up enough im going to start one.

I'm on my first week of Axiron. To soon to have an opionion about it but so far I'm not a fan of any of the topicals. I will give it a try for a little while.Dr. prescribed 2 pumps a day,1 under each arm. It says it's 30mg per pump. I'm still concerned about absortion rates though. We will see. I will post up some stats in about a week.

I think the average is 10% making into the body. It should be pretty instant, peak is about 4-6 hours after application.

I read too many similar posts all over the internet about creams and patches. Went with injections and am really glad I did.

First pin was done by a friend of mine. I was nervous as hell and didn't want to go thru with it, but did it anyway. Second pin was from same friend, but no worries - it didnt hurt much at all the first time. Third time I self-pinned a quad--just didn't let myself think about it , drew it up and stuck it. Quad site was a baad mistake though. Lots o pain the next day and limped for 3 days.

Fourth time and from there onward I self pin in the glute. Simple and less unpleasant than drinking chocolate protien powder mixed in water.

If I was u I'd save the gel for when you're constipated and go with injectable.

Good luck

I believe the reason why your Doc hasn't mentioned PCT is that he probably intends to keep you on Axiron indefinitely. I would ask him.
