Am I going about this wrong
ad
I've just started trt. Unfortunately I'm only 26 years old. I went to my regular family practice for my symptoms, had bloods done, and my test came back at 320ng/dl. My doc prescribed me 200mg test cyp every 2 weeks. I've done a lot of research on trt and just cycling in general. It seems like I should be on more than just test. A lot of trt specialized clinics I've looked at are running hcg and an ai usually, but my doc seems to think test only (which I feel the dose is probably on the low side) should be all I need. Am I better off going to a trt specific doctor? Thanks for the help

Really my concern is more of finding the right doctor or clinic, I'm thinking an endocrinologist is probably my best bet.
I finally went to an endo and my test level was 1800. Granted I was in the middle of a cycle and I knew they would be high and I was 100% honest with her. We agreed to get down to 125mg of testE per week before my next blood draw. I have been at 125mg for 6 weeks now and I can already tell it is too low. I am tired, lethargic and I cant focus. I have always found with any doc is they want to confine you to their box. In other words, these test levels are good for every man and every situation. I dont agree. I will follow through until my appointment in November but if she wont adjust me I will adjust myself.
We'll see how things go, I just want to get back to having a normal life before I think about blasting. My main concern is getting my sex drive back and not feeling tired and unfocused all the time. The doc want to see me between 600-800 ng/dl and that's fine with me if that makes me feel better, but if I'm still feeling like shit I'm hoping maybe an endo will push me to 1000-1200 ng/dl and set me up with an ai and hcg. I would love to be a 125MG a week bit I'm currently stuck at 200MG every 2 weeks. I'm just over a week in and I can already feel the little bit of energy I had fading. After my next blood draw I'm at least going to convince him to let me do weekly injections vs bi weekly. Hopefully that will keep levels even and my energy level up
i will even do 50 mg Monday and 50 mg Friday That way your blood levels stay more stable and u will suffer less from sides sir at that dose u can even pin with a slin needle at a very lean spot.
I definitely want to try to cut it back to 100mg per week vs 200 eow. I'm having two issues with changing currently though. The first problem is that I've only had one injection so far, so I still don't know if it's the proper dosing yet. The second issue is I only have two syringes for my next two injections. I will be going back a week after my third shot to have bloods done again. I was thinking about just going to one of those trt clinics but from what I've read the are usually out of pocket and extremely costly. I did talk to my doctor about referring me to an endocrinologist later on if he isn't willing to run hcg or an ai if needed. Main concern right now is to just get back to being normal and healthy, fertility will be looked at down the road. He talked about seeing a urologist to at least run a sperm count so I'm hoping that when my sperm count comes back low, I can try to convince him on the hcg.
Hang in there....we gotcha...FR sent
Welcome to EROIDS...
Split that dose weekly. You may or may not need an ai. Hcg is important if you plan on having kids. Regular family docs no shit about trt.
X2
TronX2. Doc put my 70 year old dad on 200mg test C ...........MONTHLY....YES, one cc a month..they are ignorant to how test esters actually work..
Yep! My co worker is on 200 cyp per month also by dr ...his dr says that is plenty to get his levels up and steady ....total bs! He crashes every cpl weeks with low t symptoms and his dr says that's normal....100% agree that a gp dr should just refer you to endo...
Wtf smh..
damnwhodatIdk man. I've heard of that happening alot with docs lately. I would do 1/2cc every week, instead of onecc every two weeks. Cyp ester isn't that long
