Nolva as prevention vs treatment
I know that nolva is used to treat gyno and also for pct, but can it be used as gyno prevention during a cycle as well? I've been researching it on a few different sites and it looks like it can be used but it will hinder gains slightly and you would retain some of the bloating. Obviously an ai(arimidex) would be better but I'm kind of in a pinch and don't have any on hand, but I have plenty of nolva. I just wanted to see everyone's thoughts on the subject and what the dosing would be, if it is possible to run it like this. I know a lot of guys say just wait until you see gyno symptoms before taking it, but I would really just like to stop it from the get go. This will be ran on just a basic 500mg/wk test e cycle. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Technically yes, nolva alone may prevent gyno. However, unless you have blood work to show you an AI isn't required then you should never cycle without an AI.
Having too high or low e2 is likely the most unhealthy event that can happen on cycle. There are much bigger consequences that come from increased e2 other than gyno. Some of these include heart disease, loss of bone density, and increased risk of stroke.
If you don't have assess to an AI then stop your cycle.
I guess I didn't think about the actual side effects, I was more under the thinking that since the receptors are blocked, the excess estrogen couldn't really affect you. I'm definitely glad I asked. What are the chances of a doctor prescribing and ai if the know I'm cycling? I guess they would probably want bloods first before they would prescribe anything vs me just telling them I'm cycling and need some .25mg arimidex tabs to keep the estrogen in check
As SM has stated, a DR will not prescribe and AI. This would only happen if you are on TRT.
Either order an AI and begin taking it ASAP or go into PCT.
You should respect your body more because this is the only one you will ever have.
I have not ran this cycle. I was just looking at options since money is pretty tight right now and I already have the nolva. That's why I asked the original question, I don't want to permanently harm my body. I have a family, can't risk not being around
Save the money and get all ancillaries you may need. Put it off a few months if necessary. As you stated you need to be around, so take the precautions. Need to budget for food and such as well as stated by numbere. Prioritize and make the right choices.
You guys are right. I had my full cycle planned perfectly, had it reviewed here and it was all good to go. Why change it because im getting impatient? From the beginning I was super paranoid about the sides but I guess that kinda got pushed to the back of my mind once I started to get anxious about running it. Thanks for all the input
If you are having a difficult time meeting a budget for compounds and ancillaries then you should wait to cycle.
Proper blood work and and a food supply will cost much more than the necessary products for a cycle.
Doc wont prescribe an AI for that reason I dont believe. Depending on where you reside AI can be gotten very quickly utilizing some of the suppliers that advertise here. May only take 2-3 days depending on who you get in touch with.
I was planning to order from a reputable site I saw on here, but I'm newly married and money is pretty tight. It would take a $200 minimum to place an order and my wife is going back to school this semester.
Yes. Nolvadex will prevent gyno on cycle. Years ago this was originally its purpose. The reason arimidex/aromasin is preferred is that nolvadex only blocks the estrogen receptors responsible for gyno. It does nothing for estrogen buildup in other areas....hence why you will still have bloating. Not sure of a dosage as I have never run it outside of PCT, or to knock down gyno symptoms when they occur.
