Window of muscle feed?

Last night I got home late and was really tired after gym session. Wasn't able to stay awake to get my 300grams of protein in.
How long does it take before loading protein just turns into fat after a workout?

DT-SwoleI usually try to save most of the protein until after workout when it needs it most. I tend to carb load throughout the day previous to my workout though.
DT-SwoleSorry to say I meant 300 for my daily. I only had about 100 throughout the day before my workout. I was trying to do 100 per hour after my workout but only got the first shake in. And thanks alot for the info about the kidneys, i'm going to start premaking my shakes and drinking them at smaller portions.
OH...shit, you scared me for a sec.
Look, it's never a good idea to miss a post-workout meal/shake----it's the most important of the day, and I've actually noticed a difference in Nitrogen retention the next day after missing a night meal.
The fact that you got you immediate fist shake in should be leave you sitting good.
DT-SwoleI woke up in 6 hours to get another 50 g shake with another 24 from milk though
Why would you consume 300 grams of protien in one sitting?
Your kidneys must be PISSED at you, because you're destroying them if you're doing this every day.....Excessive protien also lessens bone density, which should come in handy after you break a femor during a heavy squat session.
Post workout for me is a shake with about 40-50m grams of protien and then another 50-75 grams in a regular meal about an hour after that.
