+ 3 Whats in your favorite Protein shake?

ad

You are all jacked up on Gear but it only works well if you have Protein. Whats your favorite combo to make a Protein Shake?

OogieBoogie's picture

Whole milk, a big spoonful of peanut butter and a lot of crushed ice will make anything taste decent enough for me to get it down.

That’s what she said.

2x quaker instant oatmeal
1/3 cup Greek yogurt
1 cup milk (I use almond milk)
1 scoop ON protein powder

440 cals
44 grams protein

Mistercaber's picture

That sounds legit. Oats have been a huge problem for me the last few years. I've recently tried switching to flax mill and hoping to find a more consistent result.

Will do buddy. Thankyou. I've lurked up some old threads on here sometimes. It definitely seemed like there was a lot of big boppers on here back in the day. Wonder where they all went.

Used to run this combo twice a day …switched up the grams a bit and added pineapple instead to help with digestion. Simple, clean, tasty and gets the job done…

Whey isolate + water … straight business, no fairy dust.
Running around 280–310g protein on low/mod days, 180g on high-carb days. So yeah, I slam about 60g of whey a day… sometimes 120g if life gets wild.
Usually roll with Isopure for that real isolate hit, or the Costco ON Gold Standard deal … still does the job.
Still hunting that real one, though… 0.5–1g fat max, 0–2g carbs, none of that amino-spiked clown dust.
I personally like to keep it clean…keep it simple, and let the steak, chicken, and rice do the heavy lifting.

LMAO appreciate that, brother … I swear half these “30g protein” scoops out there are just collagen and pixie dust with a nice label.
Not trying to be a drill sergeant, but damn… if I’m paying for whey isolate, I don’t want grandma’s joint supplement in there. Lol
Truth is, most brands cut corners with cheap aminos, fillers, and flavoring to hit macros on paper … but not in blood. Real isolate should be pure, fast, and light 0.5–1g fat, barely any carbs, and full spectrum amino profile. Anything else, I call fairy dust.

Whey isolate, by bulk supplements. I add peanut butter, a cup of oatmeal, bananas and water. Twice a day. My go to for years.

Taurine, beetroot powder, banana, peanut butter and also dextrose in a few shakes a week, not daily

Tip: if using beetroot powder, it is very earthy tasting. I have found that 1 scoop of peanut butter eliminates its taste for me.

Will also be adding Almond butter thx to reading Roberts reply.

If you want a secret… 2 scoops + raw milk or similar in the ninja creami….

Amazing stuff and genuinely tastes and has the texture of ice cream.

I eat it often when I get a sweet craving.

Got the creami second hand for $100 and have used the absolute life out of it.

Bro, I was looking into those Nina creamis, they cost a pretty penny! Christmas is right around the corner and is a good excuse to have the kids clean all their school shit off my kitchen counters to free up some space lol

smurfdude1234567's picture

The kids will use it just as much as you! My girl is currently on a slushie kick and it works just as well with any juices, sodas, etc. we made pwo slushies a few days ago.

You need some sort of dairy to get the “ice cream” texture, but man is it satisfying.

Blows the old spinning salt+ice ice cream buckets out of the water- it takes 1/10 of the time, and you can customize the texture, thickness, clumps, etc.

Super easy to get going & clean up.

If you know you’ll use it or have people that will it’s a more than worthy investment. It’s worth being able to have something 90% similar to ice cream without the cost, time, or calories!

Well ya sold me, do you have a link for a kickback? Lol
I think the whole slushy / ice cream idea is going to be an easy sell for the wife, especially giving them an extremely healthy alternative to actual ice cream. My wife eats like garbage and it pisses me off. Luckily , the only thing fat on her is her ass Smile
