Been using optimum nutrition gold standard whey forever. Tastes like shit but it gets the job done.
I'm so glad I moved away from ON, their serious mass would've been the death of me, drinking 700ml+ was torture
lol, I add the absolute least amount of water to it that I can. I probably add 2oz of water per scoop. It’s so thick but I’d rather something I can drink relatively fast. Taste like shit regardless.
The problem with ON Whey I use to find is although it lists it contains a blend of different proteins - its mainly concentrate which is the cheapest form and is an absolute nightmare for people like me who are Lactose intolerant. Makes me feel nauseous as fuck for an hour after drinking it, it also never use to contan any lactase to help digest the lactose which many now do. I used Reflex before that which did and I had no issues with it but moving to ON was a mistake. This Hydrolyzed Isolate passes through you so easily and quickly I'm ready to eat 20 minutes later.
It doesn’t really fill me up. I’m not lactose intolerant though. I drink a shake post workout and then start cooking dinner 20-30 mins later. The price on this stuff has gone up by 50% since like 2020. Idk why I still buy it. I can’t stand how it tastes. I’ve had an Amazon subscription setup for years now so they deliver it every 6 weeks like clockwork. But I may have to cancel it finally and try something different. What brand hydrolyzed isolate do you like?
I use the Bulkpowders stuff bud, its expensive but still the cheapest in the UK. Myprotein do a Hydrolyzed Whey Protein shake but its NOT Hydrolyzed Isolate so I think it may be harder to digest as its not filtered to the same extent, its much cheaper so it can't be. I've done my time with all the Clear Whey Hydro Shakes - they just aren't satisfying and you need something thick after training without the consistency of water I find. I want it to feel a bit filling but still thirst quenching.
FUCK YEAH pal - Whey Prices have gone through the absolute Bloody roof here!!! Everything costs basically twice as much now including Dextrose powder. The fitness industry are just hiking the prices on everything and getting away with it. I am convinced its because the majority of people buying it now are 18 year olds that still live with their parents so they can spend a fortune on supplements each month! Once they move out of home and have to pay a mortgage or rent I bet the gym subscription gets cancelled straight away lol Meanwhile we are left paying these extortionate prices on everything.
I use 52g Whey Hydrolyzed Isolate Plus 5g Leucine and 5g Glutamine powder, 50g Dextrose powder and then Vanilla or Banana flavouring as the Whey is unflavoured.
My other protein drink is 15g EAA's in Sour Apple or Passionfruit flavour Plus 5g Leucine and 25g Dextrose powder.
Tbh I just down core powers all day lol
