damnit cleyon, your z1000 has made me itch for a liter bike. i think i'm going to bump up my planned schedule of trading in the 650 for a zx10 sooner than i thought!

CleyonOK, had to revive this thread, I just today picked up a 2012 Kawasaki Z1000. This is the first sports bike I've ever owned, and the first street bike I've had in over 8yrs. WHAT A FREAKING MONSTER THIS THING IS! Good luck keeping the front wheel on the ground when you give it a little tap on the throttle!
Anonoh I just asked you about your bike in the other thread. I guessed a KTM 500, I thought you said you were sticking to dirt ?

dude...that bike is sweet. it's gonna be even sweeter when you can ride it past 6k rpm! but yeah, orange/black is a good color scheme for that bike. now you just need some running lights and about a thousand LED's like that dude we saw on the harley. haha

Well I have a Magna 16" Hot Wheels Bike, but it doesn't have any upgrades just yet, because I am still trying to get the hang of riding the thing, but once I do get the hang of it, I will probably upgrade to a pink seat.

CleyonThat's bad ass! I'll bring my Green Machine next time we get together! I pimped it out a little, you know added some bar end tassles, and baseball card in the spokes. Those little touches make all the difference.
i've got a 2012 ninja 650 with an ermax undertail (fender remover), micro rear led's, red stripes on tires. i can't justify buying a power commander V for my bike because i'm going to sell it in a couple months and get a zx6r or zx10r. i'll save the performance upgrades for my next bike.
I know it's old-school, but I love this KZ 1000.

56tooI had a Kz 650 then went and bought the 1000 ( loved the shit out of that bike) and it was the fastest when it came out, if I remeber correctly. A cpl years late, I think '80, I bought the Yamaha 1100

Mikuni carbs. 100spoke rims. Was a show bike. 2009 EasyRider Show. Made it in In the Wind magazine. Sad part is I'd never own a showbike again. Unless I had a everyday bike. Too hard to keep clean. Next bike is Street Glide. Dream is to run the Boozefighter trek to Bike Week in Daytona!! Gotta love nostalgia
Nice, I went to Bike Week in Daytona a couple years back. Trailer down though. I like the EasyRider show, some nice ass bikes there.

Dude, I've wanted to get into Harley's all my life. Finally taking the plunge but funds are tight...Looking at either the Iron 883 or the Forty Eight as my first. Can you experienced guys give me any advice? I love the blacked out look but don't want to outgrow the 883 in a few months or have to uprade it to a 1200.
How tall are you? The good thing, all Harley's will hold their value. I would def recommend going bigger first, if you can. Harley's are mostly torque, so you wouldn't necessarily "grow out of it" like you would a sports bike. I would think about 48 since there are so many 883's around right now. I love the blacked out look though, hence why I have a Night Train.
AnonIf you have riding experience then buy the bike you want right off the bat.. if you sre 200 plus lbs then a sportsteris gonna be too small. Look at the dyna series, decent price with bigger frame and engine, you will be glad you got the biggerbike down the road. If yare a shorter guy then a 'blackline" will fit nicely, smaller frame big engine and everything is already blackened out

AnonLol for sure.... buy a cheap bike in the classifieds, ride for a year, then buy a bike in the softail series, it will be well worth it

My next bike will be a Street Glide as well. Had a HD 09 Fat Bob, sold it. Bought a 07 HD Night Train, tons and tons of extras. I'll have to post a pic for my avi. Looking to get a new HD Limited paint job, they have it for the HD Fatboy Lo too. Called Hell's Release, its sick. My buddy has the 2011 Fatboy Lo, denim. Pretty pimp bike.
