Can't sleep

ad

I have a lot going on lately and find myself sleeping sporadically. An hour here, 2 there. It sucks! Any suggestions other than xanax to help me sleep better and turn my brain off?

I have the same issue! I don't go to bed til 2 or 4am and I'm up by 6:30... Unless I turn the clock off and then I'm late :-/ I've personally tried everything... Nothing works, the brain will not shut down! It's very frustrating! If you find something.. Please share! :-)

If your brain cant clock off then its because your overstressed, before you go bed you have to take it easy, lay back on the sofa n watch porn. That always does it for me ahaha.

To those that easily recommend pharmaceuticals that can become addictive, why not just recommend heroin? Shit knocks you out!

They say GHB is amazing for forcing you into a deep rejuvenating sleep with no hangover the next day. The bad part is that it's easy to overdose on.

zquil and also Progenix makes a new protein for bed time. Slow release casein mixed with a bunch of other stuff to make you sleep. Drink it with hot water about an hour before bed. Some swear by it. I like the zquil.

Try punching yourself yet? You hit pretty hard. Would probably knock the average guy clean out. Might work

I use Diphenyhydramine (benadryl) works great for me

I can't say for sure because i'm on tren now so i'm never actually tired..

I'm a complete insomniac. Seroquel is the only thing that helps me sleep.

bigb101's picture

I know it's powerful. It took me a while to get used to it where I wasn't so drowzy the next day. But I wouldn't sleep if I didn't have it because Ive tried everything for sleep and nothing has been to any effect except seroquel.

Its an antipsychotic but completely shuts my brain down and the only thing that allows me sleep. Ambian, xanax, lunesta, melatonin don't do a thing for me.

I would bet trazodone would work on you.

its a strong sleeping med, just as xanax, seroquel, or ambien are. It's in it's own category though.
Xanax and ambien are benzoes prescribed for anxiety/sleeping disorder.
Trazodone is an anti-anxiety/mild antidepressant. It's tried and true. Doesn't "stop working" like ambien or xanax will after enough time has passed. Mild side effect profile too compared to xanax or ambien

seroquel stay far far away from. It's a dirty drug - it robs you of your dopamine. Giving the zombie effect, which usually causes lethargy as a side effect. its garbage.

yeah but trazadone makes people REAL groggy the next day ... xanax has a rebound effect and I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole that is some nasty stuff .... same goes for seroquel and most of the antipsychotics.. which are over prescribed anyway ... Bell join the rest of us non Sleepers it will be a non sleeping slumber party ..;-)

well yea it is. But all I'm saying is choose traz before taking something like ambien or seroquel.

I take it back. I don't want to recommend any sleeping drug, thats a decision you would have to make. Know the down sides before making a decision.

I made the choice to take a pill and get sleep many years ago. But yea it's pretty much a permanent solution, not just something you take when you cant sleep.

seroquel is an antipsychotic. prescribed for bipolar and schizo.

it also helps calm some people down.

I wouldn't recommend it...

Trazadone has a severe side effect for men...... Priapism. It is rather common and docs never tell you about it. But it is considered a medical emergency. I've know two bros who ended up with it. Embarrassing and scary to say the least.....
Belonna.... This does not effect women though. But that drug is harsh. I'd stay away...

j223's picture

LOL I have never had priaprism, but I do wake up with a hardon every morning. I'm not sure if it's my young age, all the testosterone I take, or the trazodone. Probably a combo of all haha

FinMan's picture

So you've heard about it? The treatment is hectic!!! Whew. You may not be one of the affected.... My buddy just got some because he couldn't get Xanax or Klonopin prescribed .... And ended up in the ER after a call to me. PISSED and panicking!

FinMan's picture

Melatonin works for some. I've tried it, but being prescribed Xanax ... It was not effective for me.
A Benadryl occasionally ... But I feel like trash when I wake up. Others not so much.

j223's picture

all melatonin does is help you FALL asleep. Once you are asleep it does nothing. That's why I always wake up 1-2 hours after falling asleep on melatonin.

FinMan's picture

I'm assuming you're using tren though? Melatonin sucks when on tren IMHO. You are correct in what you say. Shit.... Even on Xanax I wake up about four hours later due to its short active life.

Any vitamin shop should have it
