Many people are telling sources to "pay their rent"
However, when I click subscribe at the top of the page, I get this;

So what's the deal? Is this site free all around, or are the owners and members getting kickbacks.
Review sites are either all or nothing..no in-between.

Sources are asked to pay a small stipend to cover the cost of running the website but more importantly, to dissuade a good number of scammers, (which are unlikely to invest their own money in a scam).
It is against the rules to accept or offer "kickbacks" usually in the form of gear for good reviews. Punishment can be banning, or, the stripping of karma and ranking. The site does not censor favorable or bad reviews. The source sets up his "booth" here, what he does with it is up to him.
You do not have to pay to be a member here.
A source who benefits by the exposure eroids provides pays a small fee.
So, from basically every forum I've visited, and other sites, people have laughed at this site and said they wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole..
HOWEVER those same people talk about how the #1 source here is a source they trust and recommend.

I'm a member of a few forums and I don't know one that doesn't charge for their advertising and I actually think of the few I'm on Eroids is the first to put a source on hiatus or even ban when they haven't got their shit together.
Regardless of what conspiracy theories you post here Eroids creates a buyer's market that not only makes gear cheaper because of competition but gives us promos that other forums don't.
Is it perfect no but regardless members look out for each other unless your saying we are all paid shills ?

It's not free and it's not a "kickback" it's business from what I understand they have to make money like every other site to keep things running I wouldn't expect it to be free.
