What age did you start training ?

ad

For me, the formal training routine begun at 17 yo. And never let it go.

Started lifting around 16. Also played baseball and football. I excelled at baseball, but pissed it all away and got hooked on pain killers then later heroin. Took quite a few years off from the gym. I got back into it in my late 20s. I've gained 75lbs of solid muscle since I got clean 5 years ago.

I started working out at age 14 with the SoloFlex lol. I did everything wrong, trained all my bodyparts 7x a week and drank weider's giant mega mass 4000 thinking i was gonna get like the guys in the BB magazines lol, that's until i started learning and waking up at 5:30 am every morning to watch FlexMagazine workout on ESPN

I started hitting the gym when i was 14 but actually started lifting at 16 for competitive sports. a little size on your opponent never hurts

13 or 14 can't remember exactly, I think 14. My dad was/is a powerlifter and he took me to the gym one day and i loved it. Haven't taken more than a week off straight since then. I still train with him, and we both profit from it, he is the best training partner one could ask for.

Starting lifting weights for good at the age of 21. First time I picked up weights was at 11... Didnt stick with it long though, every year I would lift and quit after a few weeks. So I've been going 4 years strong

I started martial arts at 14 and got into tournament fighting seriously after high school I started weight training purely for more power in my punches and kicks but then I started seeing my body developed and I have been hooked ever since.

I started in high school, around 15 or so, but quit after graduation. I proceeded to get really fat...I mean fat. At about 27 I looked in the mirror and said, "this has GOT to be a joke..." Decided to start training again! Its funny, I never saw myself getting soft...it wasnt a gradual realization. It was a sudden epiphany that I was, indeed, a fat fuck. Several years later I'm in the best shape ever...if a little bit more stiff and achy than in high school...

Prob around 12 is when I was taking it seroius. I would wake up at 4:30 before school and do my jumpsole workout 2xs a week then all upper bodyweight excercises this rest of the week. 13 I started lifting actual weights. Most amazing feeling I had ever felt after my workout. I was hooked.

Actually trying to achieve something through working out, I was probably 15. I lifted weights some when I was 13 or 14. When I got to high school is when I started to take it serious.
