**VOTING**
So this may simply turn out to be a question as there may already be a fix for this that I am just unaware of... If so, someone please enlighten me.
I submitted a recent review about a great product/experience through a great source! And while doing so... Was wondering to myself, how in the hell is this guy not at least within the top 10? I see some horrible reviews and experiences posted in some of these top sources pages and yet thy remain in the top 5? Not going to call anyone out unless someone asks for an example.
Anyways... Getting to my question/issue finally. When I went to "vote" after leaving my review I noticed that this troll that had been showboating his douchebagery behavior all week gave this source all (1's) I assume these votes are averaged and that it was determines the ranking system...? But this troll was a new member, very little karma, nothing but negativity, and he is able to make a dent in this sources rating? Something isn't right with this picture... Since this time he has been dinged karma and I believed banned as well, yet his got remains scarring this source! How can this be corrected in the future to protect all sources against this? If a user is banned or if their karma is below a certain level their vote should be automatically removed and null and void?
What are everyone's thoughts? Thanks in advance guy!

Sounds legit to me! Doesn't appear as if the guy is trying to go out of his way to hurt or smear the source. He just doesn't know what to do. You're calling him a troll??? Who the fuck are you? You think because someone like yourself has a good experience that means the source is perfect and couldn't possibly fuck up or do some underhanded shit? Don't be so naive. This is a fucked up game and the people peddling the shit are drug dealers. Don't get it twisted! So I am condemning your comment about that member and calling you out as a fucking rep!! Let me find out!! I'll shut that source down and remove them from the rankings.
RustyhookerFirst.....don't worry so much. Any source will get both good and bad reviews. Some dummies believe this is burger king. No you CAN'T have it your way!
Second.....let the source take care of his own business before you're banned as a rep. Its their business and not yours. Many sources are nothing above a street level crack dealer. Dont be how've.

Honestly I'm really just trying to understand how the process of rankings works and trying to give an opinion if I see an improvement could be made
I'm not referring to the reviews per say... If we aren't intelligent enough to read through reviews and make our own decisions based on quality reviews from experienced users (high karma) and also be able to discount a negative review here and there by some one with very little karma or that is new, than we should probably just go kick rocks or practice falling down...lol
My point is... No one goes into the "who voted" section and cross references their reliability and can recalculate a sources rank based on that... What's to stop a bunch of dumbarses from jacking up our/"the majorities" perception of who is truly a top ten source for example if we don't have some safeguards in place to filter through the bullshit...
I don't care "who" in particular is in the top rankings... I've tried a new source every time I've ordered so far.. Just feel that if we are going to have a ranking system, it should be as reliable and true as we can make it.

RustyhookerAhhh...i gotcha. yes, there will be troll posting up bad reviews from time to time. If you see a source your considering that's when reafing is key. Then you can read tgru the BS. Hanging out n reading the si pages as well. People let out quite a bit of info when they're chatting. Post questions there as well. If gear is good but has a lil pip....folks will tell ya. Or if shipping is slow but worth while...etc. From looking at various sources ratings you can see where mods clean up false or improper reviews. I'm definitly not math/computer savvy but a couple bad reviews hardly moves the votes. I really look for a lot of "did not receive" comments. Then i read the si page to see if it's trolls or things are sketchy. Some kids post a bad review because they wanted it faster or its a personal problem. Reading again cuts thru the BS.
When completely false and proven false reviews happen....the big boss posts those openly and corrects any ratings. This site runs tight and accurate. As long as your reafing and here a while you'll see
May just be best to leave your review and vote, and if you like your source fine. I don't think I would question the system.
Again this isn't abt a particular source... I'm not some fan boy. And I'm not questioning the integrity of the system... Just offering an opinion of what a fix could be to a potential problem. Should I have just posted this in the website suggestion forum?
More than likely website feedback section would be best.
