One of my purchases when I started buying supps was a good old fashioned digital scale. Don't be fkn cheap and get one lol. Mine cost 20 on sale at wallymart.
I stepped away for this thred and it really went somewhere! Not sure how I feel about it though. ;-)
this shit is funnier than a fat drunk bitch trying to walk on high heels.
HOLY MOFO, this whole thread made me laugh like a retarded baby seal on drugs. thank you everyone
56tooA 4oz fillet has 100 calories
Dude go to walmart stat and get yourself a scale!!! Probably cost less then that tilapia u bought !

aylmejorHey V do you have any pre contest diet threads on here??
I can do better than that bro..... im gonna send 500$ to buy a super sonic,ass-kicking super scale..... you just made my fkn day bro.... i love you from the bottom of my bottom lol
aylmejorI hope youre referring to the bottom of your heart and not the bottom of your butt...
yeah that bro
aylmejori see you spreading the valuable info you learned in this thread to gearheads thread.
Correct bro.......... name of the game is sharing, and dont forget! this is my back yard.
aylmejorhey thx for sharing about the bloody stoole stuff lol. just saw it. thats crazy.
im just a child playing in your back yard, dont take advantage of me.
hey hey hey! enough talk of taking advantage of children and bloody stools!
Glad you learned something bro... nothing better than hearing it from the horses mouth right!.... i hope others read too and maybe not make the same fuck ups i did.
The question is wrong.
liquid measure and weight are not the same thing. 8oz volume is not the same as 8oz of mass (weight).
8oz of mud does not weigh the same as 8oz of water.
I can take a firmly packed cup of tilapia and it will not weigh the same as a loosely filed cup. Because you can not be consistent in how you fill your cup, you can not be consistent in its weight, nor calorie count.
Hllwd is right on point. for $10 or less you can pick up a scale.
aylmejoryes but i would dice the tilapia up put it in a cup lightly. making it reasonably consistent everytime.
so i guess what i will is buy a scale weight the dice tilapia and then throw in measuring cup, so i have rough number of what im getting everytime. the point here was so i did not have to weigh it everytime.
thanks for the help gentlemen, and thanks for not banning me.
thing is about using a scale, after a while you'll get good at eyeballing the portion. making using the cup or scale unnecessary.
aylmejortrue! lol it was just a question i was in a rush to get answered. stuck at home at the moment trying to keep busy so im looking for ways to do it without a scale right now.
offff to kroger!!! thx guys.
list: shitty toilet paper, scale.
really?! you'll spend 100's on gear (hopefully 100's on food and supps) but won't kick down $10 for a scale? Almost makes me want to BAN you on principal >: /
aylmejorohhhhh...
safe money where you can kind sir.
Buy single ply toilet paper and spring for a scale!
aylmejorlmao ok ok you win there. good point.
A scale can cost less than $10 new.
buy a scale at goodwill or a garage sale
borrow one and never return it.
Stand at the off ramp for an hour with a sign, "need food scale, anything will help, god bless"
I think if you try real hard, you'll find a few coins to buy a scale.
aylmejorfuck it, im just gonna take up gay for pay! and i dont mean take up butt. thats too gay.
Buy a digital scale..... make life easy and stop you blowing our minds...... height of tilapia in jug........ DUHH!!
A cup is 8 ounces so just do the math.
Not a big fan of talapia. They are bottom feeder fish and are used to eat the feces of other farmed fish, then they harvest the talapia. Eat them in moderation. Just my .02.
aylmejoryes yes yes i know a cup is 8 oz. but is there not a difference in weight measurments vs whatever that other on is. what im saying is on the back of package 4 oz is a serving but they are reffering to weight? i would like the height in the measuring cup of it? if anyone knows.
or if im way of here and not making anysense i apologize. i never was any good at math :(
No problem. I think your making it harder than it is or I am not understanding the question. Oz on a fish package is weight. Are you trying to convert that to "a cup" size? Then trying to figure the calories? Vike has it right below on calories.
aylmejoryes that is it. its much easier to dish things in a cup knowing the calories than weighing them out.
aylmejorcause 4oz of weight in tilapia does not transfer to 4oz in a measuring cup? lololololol maybe ill just buy a scale.
So we are looking approx 190 cals for 8ozs.
There are 96 calories in 100 GRAMS ... we dont do cup measurements in the UK bro so you got me head fucked here lol.
100 grams is approx 4ozs if thats any help.
