Pre-workout supplement caused a false-positive on a drug test.
I have to take random drug tests for my job. I was called in a couple of weeks ago and my boss said that I had tested positive for amphetamines. I assured him that I have never done amphetamines in my life and it had to be wrong. My boss agreed and had the lab do a gs/ms test on my sample. It came back fine and it showed that it was a false positive. I asked what could of caused it and they said it was a chemical found in several pre-workout supplements. I cycle between two pre-workouts and when I looked at their ingredients, it showed that one of them contained the item that caused the false positive. The name of the pre-workout rhymes with maze.
I just wanted to let anyone who is subject to drug testing, that some pre-workout supplements can cause false-positive results for amphetamines, so be careful. Best of luck.

This is because some pre-workouts contain 1.3 dymetheline. It was banned at the beginning of the summer. But if supplement storse have a stock built up their still aloud to sell what they have on hand. Pretty much if it works the USDA is going to ban it eventually.
I do know Craze is being monitored very closely. The manufacturer decided to run their own testing on the product, which showed no violating substances. No one takes those test results seriously at the moment.
There are no substances that are banned, but their chemical structure is almost identical to banned stimulants. This is what caused my false-positive.
It's too bad, because I really liked C#@ze. It gave me great focus and energy. I did have a hard time sleeping at times though.
It does not have amphetamines in it. it has been proven before. Also the fda has investigated before and they say its fine.
True, there is no true amphetamines in it, but it can still cause you to fail your initial drug test. I had taken C#@ze for a while and passed several tests. I'm not sure why it made me fail (false-positive) my last one.
StevebCraze is supposed to be banned soon because it does have amphetamines in it.
The chemical in it is almost identical to amphetamines. Just wanted people to know this so they don't fail a drug test a possibly loose their job. It's made me hyper-vigilant to check and research everything I take.
Yes this has been taken off shelves for this reason and just look at the owner of the company
I didn't know about any of this until I did some research on the product and the owner. Great lesson for me to better research everything I take.
Also, it hasn't been taken off the shelves where I live (north america). There is tons of it everywhere.
Supposedly they were supposed to take it off the shelves but who knows then theres always Internet lol

I took numerous drug tests while ingesting Jack3D literally 20min prior and never tested positive, a lot of soldiers were saying this and the military did its own test, it concluded that Jack3D does not cause a false positive or any positive for amphetamines. It was tested by the US gov though, and we all know how correct they are on a lot of things, so take it for what it is worth.
It also concluded that there is no evidence saying that it creates heart failure, respiratory, as well as all the other negative things. Im sure if a fat out of shape person who never exercises drank the stuff before exercising if definitely sped up the dying process though.
That is true. It is for a different substance that is in the other supplement. Jack3d has(d) 1,3 mdaa, which can cause false positives. C#@ze has a different substance that is very chemically close to amphetamines.
