Police officer at grocery store
Hey guys just wondering what your thoughts are on this? Just dropped off some money at my local grocery store for an order using ****£££££ The woman asked if "I knew the people I were sending to" I read on one of the source boards that if they ever ask you should just say it's a donation. So I said it was a donation and she said ok and then she called a police officer over to the register, but nothing was said or done to me. Then after I signed some western union stuff I left and still none of them said anything however I feel like they thought it was suspicious.
I've just never had that happen to me before, was wondering if anyone else had a suspicious experience. There must be a few people who have. Do they come looking for you at all? Or is it just a tactic to scare you or are they going to look into it. Idk what do you guys think?

Hitman187next time if they ask you if you know the person just say yes. dont offer an extra information than whats been asked, you dont have to give them a story on why you're sending it.

I've only been asked a few times, I just say it's a friend I use to be in the military with and nothing is ever said after that. Even when going international, same.thing. Just helping a friend I served in the military with overseas. On the transfer forms it usually says it can't be used for.business transactions. Maybe there is a loop hole from a comment below or maybe it's just the US law but it looks like your.trying to avoid taxes or something. But that or ya it's my step brother/sister in-laws etc. Easy and very believable people's.families are spread all over
The cop is there for "security" reasons. You may have just intimidated the lady and she felt uneasy. I know that my face is not a happy one and in public people tend to mistake me for a mean guy, when I smile you can see their whole body language change.

ive been refused from them before yes, just say its for an ebay transaction, the sellers paypal has been suspended for not paying fees so is the only payment option if you wish to receive the product in time for your dear old grandmothers 90th birthday.
Business transaction, buying metric tool bits from overseas, and I've either had business transactions with the seller before,........... or buying from their catalog.

***** tellers are required to ask if you know the receiving individual as regulations prevent them from approving transactions purposed for business. It is always acceptable to say you are sending the money to a family member and leave it at that.
Now, as to why she would have called over a police officer, I cant say. I don't imagine this had anything to do with you, though, as any potential legal action at this juncture would be less overt. That is, a cop wouldn't be able to prove what your money was for or what you intended to do with it. Proof and subsequent intervention could only be approved upon validation of anything questionable. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say he was there for a shoplifter and you simply happened to be conducting your business in his proximity.
Maybe because he said it was a donation? ,donations might be almost like a business transaction depending on who is receiving it say like a church since most people who.make donations take it off their taxes. I know the fine print says can't be used for business transactions. But my thinking is in a way if it was a overseas donation might seem suspicious depending on the country. Since Isis is all over certain areas, then other parts further east are in conflict as well

There's nothing for you to worry about my man. As long as you're not sending your money to some isis terrorists fucks, you can give your money to anyone you want. I always tell them that I know the person. Saying it's a donation sounds more suspicious than you sending money over to your buddy who is stranded in wherever you sent the money.

The only reason they ask if you know the person is because if you say that you don't know the person, they are supposed to cancel the transaction. It's just for your own protection to prevent you from being scammed. I know it sounds dumb but there are still people out there that still fall for those "someone has died and left you a billion dollars. Please send $500 to claim your money". Lol
I've gotten the lottery email one, you have won the lottery etc in order.to process your winnings please send 500-1000$ to yaya Africa usually lol. Had some Nigerian scam emails as well. Some girl claimed to be stuck over there and wanted to come back to America. I fucked with.them for awhile, they send pictures of some hot girl and will even call you. But they want money, I asked where are you closest to city wise. And said ok well your flight is booked for next Friday here the confirmation number see you.when you land. And they got pissed off. No no I need money.to get to the airport and I'm closer.to another. Of course I never really booked a ticket, since they scam people for a living I figured I'd fuck with them

Ill say that almost every donation i have made I had suspicions that they were on to me. A look, a pause, a question, always something that doesnt go smooth that gets my mind going. It has never amounted to anything besides paranoia. Chances are this is nothing.
