I have never but if the price is the same and food is equal and it saves time! Time is money in my book! Why not..
BirmonWhat kind of food exactly? Like meats and veg? Or dry/pantry goods that have shelf life?
I'm from AK, and we grew up way out away from any kind of hub. We would order from SAMs club from time to time, by phone from a catalog, bush orders they call them here. You can get pretty much anything in store, they package it up for you and ship it out by local shipping so it's not sitting at ups or the post office for days. Always worked great for us. Wasn't any cheaper though.
well all kind of food
BirmonWould it be local? If it saves you time and money, why not? I've read about businesses offering door delivery services in major cities, sadly, not here.
If it saves you time and money, I say give it a shot. You're a mathematician, I'm sure you could come up with an equation or theory as to how much you're saving of both.
I guess the only thing I would be worried about is the quality of veg and meat. Like an avocado or a chicken breast. But hey if it works it beats going to the supermarket or a Walmart type store and dealing with all the idiots standing in the middle of the isle, totally oblivious to the world around them. And then walking up to the checkout, where there are a hundred or so checkouts, and only two are open. And the people in front of you are trying to pay with several different forms of payment, all the while you're getting more and more pissed. And by the time you finally get up there, you're drenched in that greasy, smelly adrenaline sweat, and your afternoon is pretty much over. If you're like me you've got a two your old screaming kid you have to wrestle into the cart the entire time.
So yeah, if you can avoid that, maybe give it a try.
I dont buy food per say. I buy a lot of stuff like Soy ISO, Granola,Protein Powder,Vits,Supplements,.Etc. I
have bought Steaks ( Omaha Steak - Killer !!!).
BirmonYeah baby, Omaha steaks. So f'ing good. We try to get them a few times a year. And you get to play with dry ice, if it ships fast enough!
k u have to tell me where u get those granola bars for cheap?
Sure can. I buy my granola thru www.nuts.com
I dont buy the bars.. but you can make them if you can find a recipe you like online and
just follow it. pretty simple to make.. the granola thru nuts.com is "excellent".. I bought
4 pounds of the stuff last month..I eat it for b-fast or at night.. helps me sleep.
soy iso is also really good .. i eat that with milk.. you get 20 grams of protein in a 1/4 cup of
it. someone in here turned me on to that.. I love the soy !!!
I've bought soda and cereal that had been discontinued in the US online from other countries. But as far as shopping online for everyday food, no way.
Is it free shipping?

on a side note, ive been in the butterball mansion. its a nice little crib. lol
