My wife filed for divorce :(
My wife told me last night that she filed for divorce. This is one of those divorces where we absolutely love each other so much but have grown into different people over the years with different interests. It hurts bad, but I understand where she is coming from. We'll both be able to do more of the things we want to now and I can focus more on my career and involvement in the supplement and fitness/bodybuilding and personal training industry. This is going to be very amicable divorce with no mess so that's good. I'm going to turn this into a positive and work to achieve more personal goals of mine, instead of withering away and feeling sorry for myself. I'm NOT looking for pitty, lol, but I'm finding it helps to just tell people about it since I'm having a hard time believing this is real. Thanks for listening guys.

PhishphanHey bro. Abt to run a similar cycle i fr ya. And yea i just went thru the divorice thing . We can talk later. Snds like yur in the right track!
Everything will work it's self out bro. Stay busy, stay positive!!!
AnonRoid Noid hit it on the head down a few posts under me.....when that happens its gonna hurt....just stay positive and keep doing your thang man......we are here
Happy to hear that you are remaining friends and working through the difficult circumstances in a respectful and amicable manner. The best to you brother in all your future endeavors. You are indeed a man of integrity.
I know you aren't looking for pity or anything but I do feel bad for anyone going through something like this. I really think I could be in your shoes in the future. My wife and I don't share hardly any common interest either. Truly sorry brother :-(
Are you sure there's no means of working on the marriage? After all, if you love each other so much, sounds like you have good "cement" for hope.
Anyway, so sorry to hear that.
WithdrawlMan this is just going so well. We're both helping each other through this and have already become better friends. This is blowing my mind how well this process is going. She's being so generous in what I'm getting to keep and she's even giving me $12,000 of her profit sharing fund from work. I never asked for that nor did I even consider it. Looks like we're going to be able to remain close friends too. Thanks for all the kind words of support guys! This community is amazing. I'm going to put this thread to bed now and move on to just gear talk LOL, but thanks again everyone for your support. It means a lot to me.
Sounds like things are going well. Good to hear. Can see you're an optimist and taking strides on a positive level.
If things are going that well,I don't think I would accept the money.
AnonThat's the way to do it man, stay friends but understand that being too close of friends can be a bad thing.
Good luck big guy
WithdrawlAgreed! We're going to have to find a good balance.
its easy all the way up until one of you start seeing someone else and the other finds out! thats when it gets hard for awhile!
You dont think she doesnt already have someone else?
she might be he dont know about it
BigBmajIm not sure this kind of talk really helps anyone. Thinking about that would just make me sad, in an already difficult situation.
Didn't he want to put this thing to rest?
Thats why i didnt bring it up at first but thats likely whats going on
Very True! It will all change once other people are in the picture... Women do not like to share.. And even if she doesn't want you... She damn for sure wont like someone else having you!
If she's to the point where she's filing for divorce then she already gave him up. She wouldn't have filed if there's any chance she'd still want to hold onto him. He, on the other hand, will have an issue. Men at the receiving end of the divorce papers, especially those who don't see it coming, tend to take it harder and take longer to get over than most women.
Hello
I wish you all the very best for your future and for your wife's future too.
I can only talk from personal experience here and what happened to me and my wife. We were in a very similar position to you and we threw away our careers, to some this looked like a flippant thing to do, but my attitude was I can find another job or start another career, but my wife is and always has been the love of my life, and I don't think true love can be replaced, but jobs there easier.
Please don't take that last bit as me criticising your decision because im not. Just if you love her bro anything is possible and as a team your unstoppable.
I wish you both all the very best with your lives
BigBmajAs a team of friends people can be even more unstoppable. How many people stay in marriage as a compromised position? Constantly unhappy because they are too afraid of change, when deep inside they know the right thing to do.
I know more people that are unhappily married than happily married. Knowing when to make change is a great thing too.
I totally agree with what you say about compromised situations.
Its just sad to see things not work for people, even though good will come from it eventually.
BigBmajIt is.
good luck bro, i'm divorced myself but things took an ugly turn.. you are very lucky for things to go the civil way without court and lawyers involved
Sorry to hear that bro. Thumbs up to you for such a great attitude. That is an attitude I'm not so sure I would be able to have in your situation. I hope everything works out for you and remember to lean on your eroids family when times get tough. Doesn't make you less of a man to feel the emotional pain of what you are going through!
Im sorry to hear that and i dont mean it in a pitiful way, having gone through divorce, no matter what the circumstances, or how amicable it is, it still hurts...its an ending and yes, there will be LOTS of new doors that will open in all areas of yr life least of all love, but for today it still hurts and it will til it doesn't anymore....im not a bro but if you need girly talk feel free to pm me...
Well, her loss bro. You're gonna find someone who sticks by your side and supports your dreams one day, this woman clearly didnt.
We're all gonna make it brah.
Sorry to hear about this brother! But I'm glad it's not a messy bitter way of ending things. At least it's a very mutual mature way of moving on and it might be the best thing for you right now as you head into the goals/ambitions you'd like to achieve. With the way you're looking and the attention you're probably getting from females maybe it's a good thing to be single right now lol! Glad you're staying positive and accomplishing the things you want to! Stay strong and focused my friend!
WithdrawlThanks again guys! Today was great for both of us. I think thus is going to be for the best. Now back to talking about steroids and fuck this mushy shit!!! lOL
BigBmajWell then, on a positive note - you'll soon be getting more pussy and won't have to hide your juice habit. ;)
Hope that wasn't in poor taste.
WithdrawlLmao!!!!!! That's absolutely true!!!!
Damn I guess I'm too late for all the mushy shit :(
BigBmajWow. Bummer. I looks like you are handling it well and I'm happy to read it's a positive split.
I'm never good at knowing what to write in situations like this - especially when it's someone who's been as helpful as you.
Just know you have my support and if you ever want to chat I'm available.
I'm really amazed at how well you are handling it. Some people would use that as an excuse to fall off the deep end. Your attitude is really great to see bro.
Change always freaks me out - even when it almost always turns out well.
Dam man that fucked me up to read that you alright bro if you need to talk pm
Life's a very crazy place bro. I separated from mine 21/2 years ago. We finally got our divorce finalized last February. During that time we really became best friends. She listened to all my girl problems. Talked me through everything. She still pins the glutes for me. Long story short, everything I wanted was right there. We got complacent and lost perspective. It took taking it that far for us both to realize what we were tossing away. Never know where you'll end up in this. I sounded very much the same as you when we separated. Either way best of luck in all of it.
dredayBig bro I hope everything works out man glad u guys can still be friends
FR sent brother. If you need to talk I've been there and done that. Im not gonna just bash your ex either (I know you still have feelings like any man would). I'm just gonna give you some insight to what MIGHT happen. Just don't want to see you get hurt. I'm here if you need me.
noob941brother you got a whole community thats here for you if you ever get to down or even just need to vent, im sure there are alot of guys like myself who have been there and can relate. you gotta a familly here brother use us if you need us its what families are for, on a lighter note, you might wanna xtend ur cycle or cruise for a while, pct always makes me a little weepy. lol ur friend 941
I would say to get what money you can now from whatever accounts you have and stash it somewhere. I went through a similar divorce where everything was amicable until I went to use my debit card and found it had been cancelled. I checked savings account & it was empty. Over $5000 gone. I know thats not a lot of money to some, but at the time it was a lot to me. But whatever you decide good luck, keep your head up, in 6 months you won't have any idea why you stuck with it for so long.
I agree 110%. Everything was amicable with me too but 15 grand later and a whole lot of heartache I have to say it's very rarely amicable. Shit gets very real in a courtroom. PROTECT YOURSELF brother. I'm sure she has separated/divorced friends telling her how to handle the situation which will NOT be in your best interest. My amicable ex is now married to one of the groomsmen that was gonna be at our wedding. All I can say is she's doing you a favor (hopefully no kids involved) but watch your ass. I thought me and my ex were cool too but 15 grand later I learned the hard way. The best advice I can give you is that all this shit is happening for a reason. If it didnt happen to me I wouldn't have a woman who loves me for WHO I AM and not what she has pictured in her head. Plus I have the most beautiful little girl that will be turning 2 in November and truly makes me appreciate life. Best of luck to you, but keep in your head that if everything was amicable and cool you would be trying to work shit out TOGETHER...not being told that she filed for divorce and let you know after the paper was signed. She has all this mapped out in her head, start thinking of every possible scenario in yours...good luck.
Wow, what a drag. Sorry to hear bro. Its great that you can stay positive and this will be amicable on both parts.
Keep your head up man.
I am sorry brother. I am happy tho you guys are doing it peaceably, sure makes it a lot easier. How long were you together for, if you don't mind?
AnonWow thats a big life upheaval . You are taking it well though and have a great attitude. I hope she keeps the same attitude and doesnt let some asshole lawyer whisper in her ear to get her to complicate things.
My best wishes to you and you never know what wonderful doors this may end up opening in your future.
WithdrawlWe still love each other a lot. She's not capable of doing that to me. That's one of the reason's I married her because I truly knew what a great person she is. Thanks for the kind words man. New doors have definitely been opened.
WithdrawlThanks for the kind words everyone!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to hear but Great attitude man.....Been there and it's tuff. Only advice I would give is try and keep the people you love or have loved in your life with you forever. Never lose a friend they are hard to find. Never know life is crazy, people need breaks and sometimes space. Some say absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Damn bro! I just left my fiancé of 6 years a couple days ago for the same reasons. Just growing into different people and no passion. She is still in love with me but I don't feel the same way unfortunately. But I am looking forward to moving on with my life and focusing on me for the first time in 6 years! Good luck bud. Feel free to pm if ya wanna bs. No homo.
Sorry to hear this. My wife and i are having some very hard times ourselves so i can completely understand the hurt and disbelief you are feeling. Do whatever you can to stay positive that's what i'm trying to do, even though for me its hard as hell to not become depresssed. Good luck bro.
AnonBrother, I wish I had something of value to say but I dont. All I can do is say that I will be thinking about you in the weeks ahead. I know that The hardest is yet to come, so be prepared. If there is anything I can do let me know.
RustyhookerSorry bro. Never fun regardless
It seems you are staying positive. That's a very good thing. I could imagine its not an easy process to go through. Good luck.
