My Interest in Gear - Bachelors Degree
I had a full ride in a certain program at a certain university, did three years there, decided i didnt want to be committed to that program and dropped out. Then i moved to a different city to live with my girlfriend. Now i have the opportunity to go back to school after a year hiatus. My dilemma:
During my three years of college i bounced around from major to major, engineering, bio engineering, computers, etc. I didnt really have a passion for any particular subject, didnt like studying it yada yada.
I discovered gear last year, and i have been doing so much research on my own since then. I am wondering, should i pursue a Fitness Degree, a Pharmacy Degree, some kind of Biological Science Degree... I love all of it, just dont know how to make it work for me job wise / degree wise.
FYI im competing in my first show this summer, mens physique, and i hope to keep competing. If that give you any idea of my interest.
Opinions / Advice please brothers.

careful if you go the pharmacy route bro. you should know that what you study will have next to nothing to do with fitness, gear or nutrition. it is interesting how medications are used for performance enhancement, but you will never really learn about that in class. the classes are very difficult the further you get. some people really cant learn the material, or they bomb the PCAT... if you cant find a true interest in intense bio/chem classes and helping others then it probably isnt the right program for you. your interest in fitness and researching chemical enhancers wont get you far into this program... keep in mind it would still be about 7 years before you graduate with a pharm D if you decide to pursue that route.

Bio Science... get the degree. then teach in some warm weather college.. chase girls.
make money.. Something where you can wind up doing research down the road.
Go teach in Cal when your done.. tons of research there .
haha BOom cept i live with my girlfriend. lol. Got the warm weather down though.
PHARMACY ALL DAY!
Just "drop a couple vials or Test cyp every three months! Lol Jk
lmao. JK but not really jk.
sgtstedankoPursue the pharmacological arts, brother. & Learn how to brew your own gear. Start up shop here on eroids, & give all ranking members, mods, admin, & tags, there own custom blends. I'd like "sgt's blend to be. Test E @ 200, Trimo E @ 500, & EQ @ 500. Do what YOU want to, brother. That's the whole point of going through the experience. To find what you are passionate about. What you personally enjoy the most, might not be. A: the most profitable. Or B: what somebody else would want YOU to do. This is ultimately a decision for you to make. If you see yourself w/your girl, probably a good idea to involve her in the process, as well. Good luck...

waltrtake a second to analyze what in your life you really enjoy doing.
you mentioned gear so i'm guessing fitness/nutrition/pharmaceutical sciences interest you but is it something that when you start studying it you really get interested in? can you read a pharmacological article and want to know more about how you attach carbon atoms at a certain position of the chain and why it makes the reaction within the structure act the way it does? if you don't like science you won't get too far in that field.
you only get one life dude, the challenge is to figure out what you enjoy, what's gonna make you wake up every day and get excited because you have a brand new day to find out more about it?
picking a career based on how much money your gonna make can lead a person to be very unhappy in life. in all honesty if you find something that you absolutely love to do and it pays shit, you'll still make it work somehow.
only one life dude, i hope you can find your dreams
Thanks man...good points there. Dont know if im that into the science of it all...
