Kevin Levrone is back!

ad

I really hope this time it is not a bullshit. If I'm not mistaking he officially announced he is back and getting ready for 2016 Mr. Olympia. Can't wait to see what package he brings it to the stage.

Unlike a lot of the ultra-big guys of today, Levrone had not only great size byt QUALITY as well.... definitely one of my favorites.

I watched a 2015 comeback video of him a few months ago, all natty. It was some kind of personal challenge he was putting himself through. He looked like an average gym rat. He has to have put on 50+ pounds of muscle since then. It's unbelievable the genetics this guy possesses, irrespective of how much or little AAS he's putting into his body. Will be fun to watch in 4 months time.

Wasn't that all old footage?

Yeah, I noticed that too. But you can see in recent videos, a couple of which he actually bares his skin, that he has put on a lot of mass in the last year. Enough so as to not be bashful about jumping onto the biggest stage in bodybuilding.

I recognized most of that footage from a couple tribute vids.

This actually gets me interested in bodybuilding again. Kevin Leverone should have at least 2 sandows by now. He looks great right now, age not even being a factor. Looks healthy and refreshed. He has insane genetics and a good head on his shoulders for the prep game. Hopefully he can shake things up a little this year

This should make the O interesting again. I don't give a shit about Kai Green or Phil Heath. Really hard to give a shit about today's O, when you were following the sport through the 90s. There was so much talent in the 90s that it was very motivating.

I said it earlier,,,if anyone is capable,,,it would be LEVRONE. He has superior genetics and knows exactly what it takes to get where he needs to be.

I think he should do a smaller show first to see what he looks like ...hate to see him embarrassed like jay and ronnies last olympias...also hes been sayin a comeback for like 10 years so ill be surprised if it actually materializes

Drop-set's picture

I don't think anyone expects him to win the Sandow, but how many 50 year olds look like him, even in the masters?

Amazing how he is still jacked and healthy, and Coleman is a disaster.

Coleman is the way he is because of his crazy lifting etc etc. Lift with your ego and eventually you pay the piper with injuries.

If there is anyone I wont count out its kevin levrone. He used to barely lift in his off season and 3 to 4 months out he'd put on 40 + lbs and grow into a show to come in second to dorian yates. I mean look at dexter Jackson. ....always in the top spot last year it was a close race with him and phil. So I will never sleep on levrone, ever. Christ there were times in his career he looked like an average gym rat in his off season , then the day of the show looked ridiculous.

According to his instagram, he is definitely coming back. Special invite without having to qualify. He'll be a fan favorite, but zero shot to win. It'll be Phil again, with Rhoden, Dexter, and Dennis.

Watch for a big jump from Roelly Winklaar. (sp?)

Levrone is definitely my favorite bodybuilder of all time. I was talking to an early 20's lifter recently and was talking about the bodybuilders of the 90's and told him about Levrone. He had never heard of most of the greats...

I cant wait to see this, hes said it before, hope he follows through with it hes one of my favorites from that era.

It's a shame he didn't get round to it a little sooner, at 54 it's going to be a tough prep.

Lee priest is banned by the ifbb, however if things were to change, i think at around 43 he could still do good things.

Jay cutler is a mere baby at 42 but I don't think his body could take the pounding, don't think he'd hold the weight well, might look little he's got palumboism.
