Jake Paul vs "Iron" Mike Tyson

ad

Jake Paul vs "Iron" Mike Tyson... it's on!
Not sure if Jake runs around and tries to tire Mike out but that's his best bet. I don't see Tyson doing well after 3 or 4 rounds honestly. And let me just say much credit to Jake Paul for promoting this fight and also trying to give back to the sport of boxing. I understand a lot of folks hate him but he's come a long way from Disney. Even though he can't beat most pro boxers, he has knocked out or beat a few professional skilled MMA fighters who were champions so gotta give the Disney Broccoli- head his credit. And as far as " Iron" Mike, we all grew up watching him and there is no 60 year old man on Earth that can do what he's doing but father time is undefeated. Hope it's a good fight and not scripted. Mike is clearly off his meds so it could be a nasty fight. Early rounds is key for Tyson. Free On Netflix tomorrow night.

By the way they will use 14 ounce gloves, the norm is 8-10 once gloves.
2 minute rounds. Jakes advantage

In a true real fight Tyson would absolutely destroy this fucking punk Paul, even at his age today. But since it's a for show and fun and earn only fight (not real non sanctioned bout), both sides are contracted to put on a long entertaining show and instructed to not try and hurt one another. If all goes well it's a long fun battle with each person trading some shots, plenty of them legit and real indeed. Either way they both walk away earning more than MOST (not all) of our multiple generations of family's will earn over the next 50 years. I'm usually not into this stuff but am very much looking forward to this one and will be getting my party on with the boys and watching this from start to end. Sadly, I think a fixed close call win for punk ass Paul is most likely already scripted and built in. EDIT to add Iron Mike for president 2028!

I can dig it. He's definitely got an ego at 58. Yeah a prime Tyson destroys this dude no doubt but at his age now if he gets tired after a few rounds then Jake will get his shots in for sure. Mike should of did this years ago. But I'm confident in him in those first few rounds. Props to Jake for bringing more attention to the sport of boxing regardless what happens

Tbackin's picture

Yah I'm actually pretty stoked to watch it I have some mates over now and we are slinging cards and sipping a few and having a laugh. The main event is coming up pretty soon we shall see! I think even old Mike has a lot left in him. He looks jacked he clearly got a little "growth" help for this one it appears! Smile I hope it's a good long fun fight!

DeeMan's picture

Yep he's definitely jacked and I thought the same exact thing. Problem is my damn Netflix is crashed. It's been buffering for awhile now. I just paid my damn bill too

antwone12's picture

This fight is free as long as you have Netflix? No surprise charges when I sit down to watch it tonight?

juiceball8082's picture

Correct

DeeMan's picture

No surprise charges unless they all of a sudden pull a stunt. But if you already have Netflix then it should be like normal viewing of any program. Fight is just part of Netflix package. You paid for it already when you paid your bill

antwone12's picture

As much as I want Tyson to win its either him knocking Paul out quick. or Paul's endurance in my opinion. Will be interesting.

DeeMan's picture

I agree. One or the other

miggymig's picture

I don't work for Netflix couldn't tell ya

oh shoot I thought you did, my bad.

Foreal4's picture

Either way, Jake does an amazing job marketing and they will both be getting paid a few hundred million. I think this will start a new era of Netflix boxing or something, and I think Mike is in good enough shape to beat Jake. I just hope it’s not staged or something because I have an inclination that most sports are these days

In a promo × 2
DeeMan's picture

I was thinking it was staged but not now cause Mike is off his meds and starting to act a damn fool again. He slapped Jake which I rewind a few times and it was awkward, his press conference was also. I think his handlers pulled his meds on purpose. And yeah Netflix might be on to something with boxing

Foreal4's picture

Yeah I saw that, he smacked him cuz Mike wasn’t wearing any shoes and Jake crawled up to him like an idiot and stepped on his foot lol

In a promo × 2
DeeMan's picture

Is that what happened? I didn't know he stepped on Mike's foot..lol. He probably didn't mean to but Mike wasn't hearing that noise at all. The night before he was already moody so that probably did set him off. It's just crazy how he was laughing and joking with Jake awhile back to acting strange now. Damn he can turn that switch on and he's not even trying to sell the fight, he's just being him. Never seen anything like that before. He's even cool with the Paul Family. If he's acting then he's doing a damn good job.

SimonM84's picture

I love Tyson but Jake is younger and he has shown he can hold his own. I think Paul but going for Tyson

Dpstore's picture

I mean respect to Mike Tyson for even accepting this fight and taking it serious considering his age. I am not for the ''youtube'' boxers and miss the real old boxing fights. But as you say Jake probably will try his best to tire Mike out.

Go Tyson!

Sithx66's picture

Mikes got this. All he has to do is bite a chunk off Jake’s ear off and I’ll be happy! And hit him with that “ I’ll fuck you til you love me white boy”

Lol I remember when he said that.... he's a sick ass dude

I think it’s possibly staged I’m sure they train and train hard Jake and his brother have came a long way but Tyson w the health problems he has had to still put the fight on just my opinion it’s a money grab but I don’t blame them hell I’ll be tuned it at 8 on the dot hopefully Tyson knocks him out round 2

RobertB80's picture

Having watched the documentary lead up previously believing Mike would wipe the floor with him. I’ve got to give this Jake Paul his props, made a fortune, doesn’t need to train as he does and looks to be 100% committed to his belief that he can beat Tyson. With age and health problems MT has had I now have no clue who will win. Hope it’s a good fair and honest fight with a solid knockout. Best of luck to both.

HENCH500's picture

Jake Paul will beat Mike Tyson and easily, Mike in his prime not a chance but Mike now with out any problems. Everybody needs to see past the fact jack Paul is a YouTuber and understand he’s actually developing into a well rounded boxer. I’m not a Jake Paul fan and I would love to see him get fucked up but a retired grandfather ain’t the one to do it… if the fights real jake Paul wins by devastating knock out Tyson’s just not the animal he once was. Sad reality for us all but farther time catches up with everyone.
Tyson wasn’t the same fighter towards the end of his career never mind now and that fight with Roy jones was silly they were like to old men fighting round the back of the bingo hall.
Now Jake wins this and calls out canelo again that will be interesting because that’s a big pay day for canelo at the end of his career and canelo puts Paul away

DeeMan's picture

So I'll be honest and Tyson fans will hate this and I'm a Tyson fan but the longer the fight goes the worse it will be for Tyson. Endurance will be Mike's worst enemy not Jake. Inside 3 rounds is key. Now Jake has skills regardless of what anyone says and if he fights smart and moves around he'll tire Mike out no doubt and once that happens it's over. Now by KO, I can't say that. See this is the thing Stokes this is for entertainment purposes but I guarantee both guys are so prideful that they want to prove a point to the world. Now what I don't understand is what the hell is Mike trying to prove. Pride comes before the fall. Father time is undefeated.

smurfdude1234567's picture

The “KSI” other YouTuber boxer dude said they are
“Feeding Tyson to the Lions. It is going to be unethical and disgusting.” Sadly you cannot beat age in most cases. It will be entertaining either way!

DeeMan's picture

Yep entertainment either way.

smurfdude1234567's picture

It’s entertainment end of the day. Too much money and exhibition matches for any of this to be super serious in my opinion. Would never pay for one of these… but I probably will completely legally stream it Smile

If you have Netflix the fight is free.

This fight will make alot of money. And yeah it's suppose to be entertainment until Mike decides otherwise

smurfdude1234567's picture

Are we forgetting the fight a couple years ago? Roy wasn’t a slump in his day either and they both claimed they were going to “hurt” eachother

Smart promo from Netflix honestly. Fights are like $80 now it’s insane

$12 standard netflix with no ads and just cancel right after payment and you have it for a month. So $12 for the fight

DeeMan's picture

If it's not pay per view no way Jake Paul is getting 40 mil. Reportly Tyson is getting 20 mill. I understand Jake's MVP company is promoting the fight but damn.

DeeMan's picture

If you go back and look at that fight Roy didn't look close to even being in shape. So it had to be for entertainment purposes. Not sure about this fight though. Jake trying to prove something. He hits Tyson and staggers him, Mike gets pissed and all bets are off. He's totally going off script. See Roy knew how to follow the script but I don't think Jake knows how to follow. He wants to prove something

Drexyl's picture

Andrew Golata was a 6’4” 260lb polack pro boxer, Tyson sent him packing with lacerations, a concussion, slipped disc in his neck and a broken cheekbone. Yeah, let’s root for YouTube influencer Jake Paul.

DeeMan's picture

Stokes is right that was 24 years ago but to your point 4 years ago Tyson broke Roy Jones's ribs. With any fighter power is the last thing to go. Speed, reflexes, legs all go but not power. I've never seen a 60 yr old boxer have those powerful seconds of bursts like Mike. With those short bursts he'll hurt any man standing straight in from of him going toe to toe. At least for a few minutes he would. His problem is age and endurance

HENCH500's picture

That was also 24 years ago mate…. Buster broke Tyson down and he was never the same again after that fight … he went on 2 have another 5 or 6 fights and looked out of his depth in them all then the curtain finally closed on the mike we once new when he retired on his seat against McBride … he came out again a few years ago and thought jones and they both looked awful, he’s only got older since then. I wish it wasn’t so but Jake Paul is going to knock Tyson out in devastating fashion fights a major miss match and shouldn’t be happening. Paul wins by ko is a solid bet I’m going with 3rd round ko my self

DeeMan's picture

Nah Tyson wasn't the same after Cus died, not when Buster Douglas beat him. His decline began before that. And if you look at that fight Buster should of been counted out but it was his night, he had nothing to lose after losing his mom prior to that fight. What happened after he beat Tyson? He was smoked by Evander. So basically that Tyson fight was a result of Buster having the best fight of his life and Tyson not taking that fight serious which everyone saw. Not training, having multiple Japanese women in the hotel. The singer Bobby Brown was with him and even came out and said what happened and that can be fact checked. So nah that wasn't the beginning in my opinion, the beginning was when he lost his trainer Cus which resulted in him acting a damn fool and having no discipline. Afterwards meeting Don King and Robin Givens. Mike was his own worst enemy not any opponent.

Also we gotta understand they're fighting with 14 ounce gloves and not typical 10 once gloves, big difference. Mike in 3 rounds or less and Jake after 3 rounds. I don't see a knock out. Tyson is definitely not the same but he broke Roy's ribs 4 yrs ago in that last fight so if using those same gloves he'll hurt Jake no doubt, even Jones has warned Jake about Mike's power. Toe to toe at beginning of fight no way Jake knocks out Mike, if anything he'll get knocked out and he knows that. But age is definitely a factor for Mike no doubt. 58 is 58

Yeah I remember Golota quit while sitting down in his corner. And he sure did report those injuries after the fight. Hey alot of the younger generation is rooting for Jake Paul

FlemDaddyKush's picture

ide go in the ring with tyson if i was getting paid millions. paul is a clown, so is his brother. if the fight is actually real and not fixed, tyson gonna win. but i think its fixed for people to make money

DeeMan's picture

Thing is they are damn near best friends so I didn't take it serious. So look I watched their last press conference last night and let me just say it... Mike was off his meds or full of meds. Go look at it. He was zoned the fk out! Nobody even wanted to ask him any questions and even when they did he gave short answers of didn't answer. Jake noticed that and I think that bothered him. He knows he probably caught Mike at a bad time. Go look at that press conference

Drexyl's picture

Mikes gonna hurt him. Ask yourselves this, even with Tyson’s age, would you get into a ring with Jake Paul? Then ask yourself if you’d get into a ring with Mike Tyson.

Mike's punches are unreal. Even the Hall of Fame boxers that beat him like Lennox Lewis and Holyfield are impressed and they say his power is still dangerous. I still say Mike isn't the same Mike that fought Jones just 4 years ago. He looks good but something is off. Hope I'm wrong. If Mike was in his prime some 30 or 40 years ago Jake wouldn't last a round. But yeah I'd rather be punched by Jake.
