Jake Paul vs "Iron" Mike Tyson... it's on!
Not sure if Jake runs around and tries to tire Mike out but that's his best bet. I don't see Tyson doing well after 3 or 4 rounds honestly. And let me just say much credit to Jake Paul for promoting this fight and also trying to give back to the sport of boxing. I understand a lot of folks hate him but he's come a long way from Disney. Even though he can't beat most pro boxers, he has knocked out or beat a few professional skilled MMA fighters who were champions so gotta give the Disney Broccoli- head his credit. And as far as " Iron" Mike, we all grew up watching him and there is no 60 year old man on Earth that can do what he's doing but father time is undefeated. Hope it's a good fight and not scripted. Mike is clearly off his meds so it could be a nasty fight. Early rounds is key for Tyson. Free On Netflix tomorrow night.
By the way they will use 14 ounce gloves, the norm is 8-10 once gloves.

I have to say. I look at Jake Paul differently after that "fight" last night.
As we all witnessed Father Time go undefeated on 58 year old Iron Mike, JP probably could have pummeled Tyson the last 4 rounds but he chose to wear him out. Oh he got his shots in on Mike for sure, but he could have probably hurt him at a few points and he didn't. He certainly could have knocked Mike down and end the fight sooner. But he let it go the full score. He knows that would not have been good for his brand (beating and bloodying the shit out of the old man) but I also think he may have a little more class in him than I gave him credit for. Although Iron Mike did not win, he ran 8 rounds at 2 minutes at 58 fucking years old and can now add that to his many accolades and remarkable life accomplishments. He can go home to his family with pride in check.
That Paul was the king pin who made this all happen, really, is quite remarkable as well. The under card fights were unbelievably quality and entertaining, and a lot of people made a lot of good money and for the most part I bet all had a good time. I'm not going to "like" or "follow" this kid, but I give him hella cred for creating the life he has created and for getting after it.
Yeah much credit to Jake for putting it all together. I understand it was for entertainment purposes and s lot of money was at stake but seriously Mike had nothing to prove just based off his career so why would he want to fight Jake? Well besides the money it was his ego. Wanting to prove he still has it by beating a prime 27 yr old dude. And Jake wanted to prove himself by beating a 58 year old who was way past his prime. Only chance Mike ever had was a KO inside 2 or 3 rounds. It's good attention for boxing but it also is sad for boxing. Hey I'll give Mike credit for getting in shape at that age and training which is the hardest thing to do in boxing. Lol I can guarantee alot of guys yapping wouldn't be able to do what he did as far as training. But overall a decent night with those other fights on the card last night

Nah I don't think staged at all. Just age and fatigue. I figured he'd get tired after a few rounds. But fix or staged nah. That's making excuses to me. If you want to say Jake didn't open up 100% in the later rounds I would agree

Yeah he looked horrible after a few rounds. He did catch Jake with a good shot though but it wasn't a solid one. I give Jake credit for only training 4 yrs and beating a few guys. He'll never be a champ though and that's not hating on the guy

Very true. Jake bowing before the end and Tyson having to remind him to keep gloves up made me laugh. Clearly more jokes and for the money… really think it showed how Tyson can’t even throw without getting off balance or getting to an opponent anymore though.
So sad. He ( Mike) had nothing to prove. Much props to Jake. No fix just a beating. Jake could of knocked Mike out if he opened up a bit
