Jack3d FDA recall??

ad

So I was about to order some jack3d from bodybuilding.com along with my other supps, but noticed it was no longer on the site even though it was a few weeks ago. So I went ahead and emailed them to see why...this was the response I got.

Thank you for your e-mail. I would be happy to help you with that! I do
apologize, but the Jack3d has been discontinued from our website for the time
being. The FDA has recalled an ingredient in this product that is not proven to
be safe, so we have voluntarily removed Jacked from our website. We may sell it
again in the future. In the mean time, check out these other pre workouts.

Maybe this has to do with those army/marine deaths that were linked to Jack3d abuse? I always liked it and really liked the fact that it was barley the size of a shot of water, rather than downing a whole glass with assualt and then drinking a big ass shake before workout. I did notice if I took too much jack that id get almost a fucking panic attack in the gym, one time so bad that I had to leave cause I thought I was going to have a heart attack. So just a heads up to anyone using Jack3d. What other pre workout supps do you guys recommend?

Sweet jesus, bro!!!...panic attax?!?!...damn. There's nothing wrong with other pre-workouts....check out Assault or Cellucor NO extreme and/or C4. They are decent, without the jitters and panic attax!!! HAHA...wow, you'll be okay now. That DMAA is serious shit.

a couple cups of coffee works good for me. strong and black... no homo.

Over here in Oz it is known to be the leading cause of renal failure. I have been saying this for quite a while now. I would love it if people would listen

This is why I don't like not being able to thumbs up in off topic!!!! Thank you sir! You shouldn't need pre work outs if your diet is right! It's called carbs people! +1 (imaginary)

Screw Jack3d...that shit is so bad for you man. The 1,3 Dimethyl...is a neuro-stimulant anyway. I never could understand why people liked feeling like that when they workout...lifting on amphetamines, it is so closely related that it'll make you pop positive on urine tests. It's like a dirty speed high anyway and then you crash, ALSO...from long term use it begins to tear your joints up anyway. Anyone who wants to prolong their lifting 'career' and use of AAS in tandem probably doesn't need torn up joints either. That same shit is in ALOT of pre-workouts and fat-burners. I like the old caffeine jolt on the low end of things with some BCAAS and other aminos for mental clarity and I'm G2G!!

Finchman's picture

Yeah I agree, it does feel like a speed high. "Oxy elite pro" does the same thing to me.

Same chemical bro...look at the ingredients.

I like how they didnt mention what ingrediant it was..lol, I'm taking driven sports craze atm, very good stuff! I still have the empty cases of Jack3d and compared them. Jack3d has ALOT of warnings on it..

manbearpig's picture

good call man, im a fan of driven sports also. they are very underrated. i can't believe all the nonsense that actually sells....

the magic ingridient recall is DMAA (1,3 dimethylamylamine)aka methylhexaneamine (MHA); aka geranium oil/stem/extract—is the infamous, supposedly natural, active ingredient in Jack3d, and has been linked to possible risk of liver damage and heart failure. fucking supps......

IrishLifter2012's picture

Damn...I wasnt expecting it for DMAA to be the ingrediant.. but there doesnt seem to be any DMAA in my craze unless its under a different word so thats good! funny how you can buy these supplements in shops and they could kill you hahaha.

DBG's picture

Yeah, you gotta pay attention to the supplement facts...'Italian' pretty much hit all the variety of names there related to DMAA. Geranium, methylhexamine, etc. He knows what's up!!

Two soldiers died while training after drinking that shit.
It's now banned on all Military bases.
Proof once again that a LOT of supplements are far more dangerous than steroids.

Amen to that goth!! I've got three letters for all these folk that want a pre workout formula "TNE"!!! TNE gentleman !! Best shit I've ever used for a pre workout hands down!!

finafan's picture

I agree with this. I refuse to use any preworkout. My fried could be a fucking salesman for that shit and I tell him he is a fool for drinking it. I think energy drink are right up there with preworkout as well. PS everything I am saying I am doing so at a whisper. Thanks

i was actually about to purchase some myself...you know you might want to try straight black coffee, i have a feeling alot of the shit they put in these drinks is going to come back and bite us years later. i am currently drinking a cup of black coffee before i lift due to cutting. thanks for the post.

Any one use black powder? I get insane pumps from it. I feel lik i swell up a little right after taking it before i go to the gym. I know it works because I always have to take a shit 15 minutes after drinking it.

1.M.R from bpi, iv always loved jack3d but it always gave me bad heart burn and i got to where 3 scoops just wasent as effective anymore but i stayed on 1.M.R for months and never had to use more than one scoop yet it still gave me the tingly feeling and a great boost with no heart burn.

i like super pump. 5g leucine per serving makes me feel better about taking down something that i, and everyone else knows, is absolutely awful for you. the obvious better choice is coffee or green tea
