Imminent virus help?
ad
So my lap top got this shitty adware /malware virus called imminent. It's hacking into my stored info and posting ads on every page I click. Even blocking me from operating the lap top in some areas. It's changing my computers settings and making me fucking crazy! I'm not using it now. I'm on my iPad which never gets sick (apple rocks!). This fucking PC is looking like it might be done for. I was able up uninstall the program and then it popped back up in a different folder when I plugged in my WD external hard drive to try and save my pics on the computer. I'm chasing it around and trying to fix the settings as it changes them. I give up. Any advice here?

Yeah this don't work. And the porn is always on the apple device. No this was a fake update of a flash player that someone clicked on. All this typing you did was for nothing. I know you didn't copy and paste it. That's against the rules so thanks but this doesn't work big fella
68Qlol all typed ;)
restart it in safe mode. then go intio setting and restore your machine to an ealier time when it ran smooth. that should do the fix
epcfitnessSpot on. I used to restore my pc to factory settings every 6 months to make it run like brand new.
Turn that thing off bro and bring it on to geek squad or something.
I would do a full system restore, assuming you have everything backed up properly. I like to wipe my computer clean once a year anyway.
Follow this to a T and it will be gone from your system

Got tired of windows back in early 08 and bought my first macbook pro, over the winter I decided to upgrade to a new one even tho the 08 is still operational. Nitti, I have never had a virus, hardware or software failure. Other than battery replacements and a track pad on the old one my macs have been flawless. Not to mention with apple care they fix the shit if t does break.
I know they are expensive but when you factor in the long life and piece of mind they are 100% worth it.
Stop using that Middle Eastern wife finding website, I told you it was full of malware..
You can try the programs mentioned below but personally I'd do a fresh install of Windows and all of your programs. No need to trash it. Sure it's going to take an hour or two but it's much safer and could be quicker than messing with all those other programs.
p.s. Going forward, you really need to surf for porn on the iPad only.
malwarebytes with up to date definitions in Safe mode.. [this is important] safe mode with networking if necessary to update definitions but try to not have any network connection.. Open task manager and make sure anything imminent or related isn't running. Also check add remove programs for anything you didn't install and remove while in safe mode. Depending on your browser, check for weird add ons or plug ins and remove as necessary..
if you plugged in a external hard drive to the infected computer, consider it infected as well even as a precaution.. though the scan should take care of it. Just be sure to do a complete scan of every drive and everything attached to the pc.
Malwarebytes is good like the others said.. you can go a step further and get a free trial of bit defender.. it will not matter if you use a pc or mac you will get a virus on either I have had to clean up plenty of macs for friends
Look into malwarebytes, spybot search and destroy and ccleaner... install and run all those programs that should take care of any bullshit haunting you..
malwarebytes... yes.. ccleaner yes.. dont know spybot but I d say use it if he says so
Still remember someone repping kodiak in cs 1.6 in an aim map a while back LOL, wonder if that was you or someone you know..
Mr KfizzleThis ^^^^
My advice, get a macbook.....sorry that's the best I can do bro I suck with computers lol. I had my first mac book for 6 years and it never had a virus, just upgraded to the new mac book pro and I love it.
AnonFuck!! I have four computers, but I swear my Mac is the only thing I can really count on....
That should make you fell better for 5 mins haha
Sorry bro. If it's a good unit maybe go get it scrubbed and start off with all new programming....
Nm...chuck that f'er out the window on you're next cycle
try to setup system restore point to an earlier time, or if you got personal info on hard drive take it out and use it as a secondary harddrive on different pc to transfer files. hope it helps
