husband who expert ( in my eyes:) but still asking advice from others

ad

Hi all:) I do not post a ton if any:) over the summer I joined as a new member to the site.I do not post a lot of pictures or questions..but I do read the topics in the forums and I try to stay current!!!!I joined the site after my hubby introduced me to it. Who supports me in every way!!! my question would be.. Is it belittling to him seeking advice and education from others..when I guess I could just ask him. But I enjoy asking advice and getting input from others of all walks of life. So is this overstepping boundaries...now he would never be mad if he did get offended I think he would just keep it to himself...he encourages me to read ask questions get second opinions from, men/women...he never gets upset on somebody complimenting my body...I think partly because he has so much to do with it lol ..he never claims to know everything in the world... But he is so much better at reading and doing his own research on bodybuilding and products way more than I can... I like to ask advice and get instanet answer lol...I know typical woman...but I just don't want to disrespect him by posting a question that he may be has already advise me on..do any other couples on here find themselves in the same predicament??? and I don't feel like I'm utilizing the site if I don't jump in there and ask questions just as everyone else does....maybe I'm just thinking too much into it :)I just don't want him to see a post on here and feel embarrassed or disrespected because maybe he could have answered it first or maybe he already did answer it ( which is most cases lol)... men like to be ---well you know **right about everything lol....what does everyone think disrespectful or not???

Men; their job is to fix things when it comes to us women. or to help us....they are innately wired this way....any time i say to a man at the gym "can you help me" he will go outta his way to help me with a smile on his face and feel satisfied when he accomplishes the task at hand. having said that since yr husband got you involved in this, you essentially said " can you help me" so it gives him great satisfaction to help you grow & learn...so im sure if you turn around and start askin other ppl the same questions he's already answered he"ll feel slighted in a small way if you repeatedly do this....however, there are both men & women on this site who prob know more than yr husband about certain things, so you" ll have to discern who to ask what questions.

the fact that you even posed this question suggests that you either already feel you might be undermining him or he feels that yr slighting him or both....so id go with my intuition and if there really is a question he cant answer pose it to the community or if there is something he told you and you need further clarity do yr own research and discuss with him what you learned.

All depends on who is giving the advice i suppose...... length of years in the lifestyle, exp and time using AAS, how many people said person has trained and results to date so far etc,etc,...... or is the person giving advice a crass amateur that just talks the talk and has never achieved anything themselves because they are afraid of hard graft and just rely on the drugs???..... lots of people wandering around this site who foot that bill..... be carefull who you talk to would be my advice here.

It is almost always good to ask questions, perform DD and research, research, research!! The biggest thing for us ladies is to seek the opinions that are designed for and toward us. I say this multiple times DAILY, we are different creatures than our male counterparts. Doses are a lot less, gear choices and results vary and our sides are different than a man. We have different hormones therefore need different considerations.

It's difficult for men to train women, especially for competitions. Most of them FAIL because they have no idea how we should be coached and/or trained. Same goes for gear advice…..

Just my .02 ;)

PS I don't feel you'd be disrespecting him as long as he knows you trust him and you're just doing your DD.

I work in IT
I get so burned out answering, and solving every little thing that pops up...

That said, I'd be pissed if my wife took something to the geek squad to take care of something I could do.

So here's my take. It's ok to ask questions, but run what you think is the best answer by your husband before you act on it.

"Hey honey, several people online suggested I should take this, what do you think? Do I really need it?"

" eye eye captain" and yes off course he's always my go too...but I just did not want to step on toes or make him feel undermined:) that is why I asked.. thx for feed back!!!

So is this overstepping boundaries...

For the sake of harmony it probably would be a good idea to let him know. Everyone takes things differently. This way at least you doesn't appear that you don't respect his opinion. Also there are some incredible women here who can be of great help to you. That is likely to bring less tension to a possible situation. The only reason I address this is because you wrote it as a possible concern.

I do:) I tell him everything whether he likes it or not Smile but I just want to maintain respect with site/ him and of course learn and grow... but after I first posted and started asking questions...I thought to myself " I Hope he not insulted"

I think this is how many people are, especially women.I remember when I would tell my ex wife about some great nutritional supplement and she would just kind of look at me and go "uh huh".Then a year or 2 would go by and she would come to me and tell me about this great nutritional supplement(one I had previously told her about) that a coworker told her about who heard it from her 2nd cousin that read it in readers digest.I would just look at her and go "uh huh".

I doubt he will feel embarrassed or disrespected. In fact he should be proud that his wife has similar interest and is trying to gain knowledge to better herself.

I think getting advice from a variety of people helps you be more knowledgeable. Never a bad thing.
