Head might be messing with me
Hi Everyone
Hopefully any of you out there has had same experience is i have and clarify if my mind is messing with me or not (Btw im not on gear)
The past year ive been noticing that im not completely focused in my workouts,
the reason for that being is ive caught multiple people having an evil stare towards me, im just minding my own business.
The goal is go get my work done at get home because of tight diet schedule.
Ive also come across a few regulars that would almost walk into me or would want to push me
or give me a shoulder from behind.`Im a fucking kind person and just want to be left alone ( Im an introvert ).
I have thought about confronting multiple people for their behavior, but i really dont want to change gyms because of bad karma.
The question is am i doing something wrong or is my mind messing with me?
Also i would like to hear if anyone has had any similar experiences and did you do something about it?

It could be you, not saying that to be a dick but usually if it’s everyone else, it’s you, know what I mean? That said sometimes you’re just at the wrong gym for what you’re doing. Are you maxing out at the local Y loaded with elderly people? I have definitely been that guy and they all instantly hate you haha. So ask yourself am I in the right environment? Should I switch gyms to find more like minded individuals. But if you have to stay there I’d just kill um with kindness honestly. Especially when I’m sauced if I start to feel that way I know it’s mostly in my head. Let’s me honest most people at the gym don’t or shouldn’t give a shit about what the next guy is doing. I know it’s my narcissism telling me otherwise when I’m in the gym haha
I think you're right. Most people at the gym doesnt really put in as much work as i do based on their development. There are a few big guys tho, but somehow i managed to get bigger and more fit over the past 2 years and they have stayed the same. I did try to find another gym, but the lack of equipment is absolutely insane.
Yeah it’s easy to start to look at people with a chip on your shoulder if you’re killing yourself grinding. Especially when dieting comes into play. I know I start to look at the guy sending texts on the machine I want like:
I’m about to kill you and your whole family if you don’t get off the fuCKN LEG EXTENSION AND LET A REAL G GET TO WORK!!!!
At my age mid 30s I feel like I know myself well enough to recognize that I tend to have some female bitchy tendencies.
I actively try my best to smile at people in the gym instead of silently looking pissed in the corner. Gear actual makes it easier for me to be kind because I’m constantly checking myself.
But ultimately if you feel that superiority complex start to kick in just know you are probably giving off some negative vibes and people pick up on that and it makes them defensive.
Next time you feel like someone glares at you in passing try being like what’s up man nice work in the gym today even if they got the dad bod. Remember being freak beasts is our prerogative but not most of society and that’s okay haha.
But how cool is it to get a good job from the biggest g in the gym which is you my man.
Man it sounds like it's you, I can't be sure since I'm not there but it sounds like you might have some paranoia going on. Maybe talk to a therapist or something.
I think the problem is probably you. People tend to prey on the weak or who they perceive is weak. Something you'll have to deal with til you snatch one of em up
Probably just want to talk to you but to nervous. You should initiate
LOL! You’re advice is going to make him that creepy dude at the gym, LOL
If someone's staring at me in an evil way their getting hit with a head nod and "what's up"!
Absolutely! I’ll never punk out for anyone. Lessons from the can
Never... You leave em there, or they leave you there but no retreat
Ok, question, do you take your time on certain machines, particularly pull down machines? Do you stay on the same machine and do 3-4 sets of 3-4 different exercises? This is one of my peeves with certain people in the gym. I don’t give dirty looks though. I straight up call people out and tell them to move around, because they’re fuckin up everyone’s flow. Don’t be a machine hog, and don’t bury your face in your phone in between sets. Bust out your sets and move the fuck along. Basically, don’t take your time. If you’re not doing any of these things, chalk them up as haters, and ignore them. I catch people sweating me all the time, and not always in a good way. If someone stares me down, I will stare them in the face until they turn away. I make it very clear that I am ready to throw down, right here right now. I pay for my membership the same way that they do. I’m not there to make friends. I get along with 90% of the regulars in my gym, but I honestly don’t want to say anything more than good morning to them, and I know they feel the same way. Also, sometimes when you think someone is staring at you, they may think you’re staring at them, and it could all be a case of bad timing for both of you. Don’t be creepy Kris, but don’t take shit either. When walking around the gym, pick a side, don’t walk in the center of a lane. Oh, and if someone seems like they are about to body check you, tighten the fuck up and blast them, make it fuckin hurt. I’m getting fuckin worked up just thinking that someone would try to do that to me
Tell them to eat there hearts out and keep staring means your doing something right ,, do YOU.
Just be aware buddy that when training in a gym it is the kind of environment where people are going to be looking around at each other, especially during rest periods in between sets. There isn't really any other option but to be looking at what other people are doing, or be on your phone. Often people won't be directly staring 'at' you either, they are just getting their breath back and are merely looking through you or in your direction. Often people are checking out the weights others are using too, sure it can be off putting and feel like you are at times being watched - if it feels too much like this then give another gym a try.
I actually tried a different gym for a month, got the same vibe unfortunately. People were also very kind, the only problem was the gym lacked alot of gym equipment. And i did try a third gym aswell. Guess im not so lucky. With my gym picking
Sorry, but I just couldn’t resist, LOL.
Do you use steroids bud? If not it sounds like you may be suffering from low testosterone and confidence issues, maybe good some Bloodwork done to see how your body is functioning and if there are any things that could be improved.
Im taking a break from gear atm until i Find a privatelab i eu.
You running tren lol? Paranoid
I wish
If everyone is looking at you but you've done nothing wrong, it's either early stages of schizophrenia or your hygiene sucks.
I am pretty clean, so probably schizophrenia lol
Nothing wrong with being quiet or a nice guy.Has something happened? If multiple people are genuinely giving you that feeling then there’s probably something going on or you’re indeed being paranoid. How are you outside of the gym? Work / friends / family etc? If all that’s ok, then maybe you just have a few dickheads around you at the gym. They certainly exist in gyms.
You said it’s affecting your workouts, so as much as you said you don’t want to change gym, might do you world of good to change things….. I would. Give you a push to be in a new environment and focus on what you’re there for.
Got to be honest here. I do struggle with mental issues (defense mechanism and trust issues), work is shit ( Trying to find something else suitable for me ) No friends, i do have a girl that i temporary, have fun with but we cant be together permanently because i want kids someday and she cant have them. Family is non-existing - i dont get along with my siblings.
but i dont let either of it effect me. I do keep a positive mindset, most of the time. But like many others i do fall at times. But i dont show it.
You could definitely use some Testosterone in your life. You should go get it checked and get on a TRT prescription if needed. I can bet your testosterone is low. Think about it, you’re on a steroid site asking this question, but you’re not on steroids??? That’s a little weird to me. Why didn’t you join some fitness website and ask this question???
I have been on trt before. And i tend to hop on again.
I keep to myself. People prob think Im a douche canoe until they talk to me and Im polite and friendly. All the oldies like 60+ like me though. Fav person at the gym is 80yrs old.
Im not there to be friends and what not so people don't like me or have a feeling about me so be it. I work out and leave. My life isn't in the gym. Yea I work out. But my family and friends are at home.
However if people are walking into me and what not then I have to question what I am doing. STaring at me. Big deal. Stare. But in college and my 20's I was always a "center of attention" so I enjoy the stare.
Just start body checking people! They wont stare at you again and walk around you next time. Or the smallest guy in the gym will start cutting in front of you on the machine or straight cutting in in-between your sets. Its a dog eat dog world
I dont like being rude to people and i get that if i dont do something about it, it will be worse.
Unfortunately ive built a horrible fucking habit of being a people pleaser.
Matching peoples energy is not rude, believe that
