My family has been engaging in water sports all week - wake surfing, wakeboarding, solemn skiing, and some extreme tubing. I still have it! The tubing has my traps burning. I love it.

Just woke up. Worked over night at another facility to fill in for people that called off. Good overtime to put into my gear fund. Going to the gym as well to do back, biceps, and forearms as well. Going to my parents for a cookout and to swim after that. Hot as heck here as it is most places. Then going to come home and pop some fireworks with my kid as well. Got some good stuff left over from last year and the fireworks shows around us have been canceled anyway. Happy Independence Day! Stay safe. Things are going to get better eventually, I just feel it.
Man I wish I had a swimming pool, either in the garden or indoors. Was one of the first things I noticed flying into the states as a Kid - every house nearly had a swimming pool out back. I thought it was so cool :-)
Florida, Vegas, warm climates, yes. I’m in the Midwest so they are a little less common. I don’t have one but my parents do. We live in the same town. My kid swims most days in the summer. After a hot day of work outside I feels good to get in, so long as it isn’t to hot. On the hottest days if they leave their solar blanket on it doesn’t even feel refreshing. They are a little work to take care of too. My parents are retired so they travel a lot. So I have to go out there every day when they are gone to turn the pump on and then come back later to shut it off, and if the water goes bad then the real work begins. It’s worth it though I think. My neighbors had an inground pool as well but when it needed a new liner they just decided to fill it in because the combination of expense and the work to take care of it. The key is to have enough money and hire a pool service, then your really living the good life.
I never realised you have to run the pump everyday - is that so the water doesn't stagnate and things don't clog up?
Filter the water and introduce chlorine into the water. I’m sure it can be put on an automated timer. I need to talk them into that.
