Going to Thailand next month

Hey guys,
I was curious if any members have visited Thailand before? I know a lot of gear can be found there...however, is it really THAT easy? I'm half temped to pick up a few things while I am there. We will be going on vacation and I brought this up to the wife...she didn't seem to happy about me bringing anything back. Would love to hear from any members who have gone before.
