Getting Banned
Lately,I have noticed several of my Eroids friends getting Banned. ItsNoel, Juicenator, OE2000 and several more. I think I know why itsNoel got banned and I just recently read a thread about OE2000 and bathtub gear. I dont know whats up with Juicenator, he seemed like a respectable member and he would always answer any questions I had in a PM. Several of these members were at Level 2 and Level 3, so I would think they new the rules.
I would hate to see some of my other friends get banned, so maybe we all should read the rules again and again. I had a member offer to trade or buy pruducts from them. I was solicited in a PM and even was asked to share my personal Email account with them. I would always answere saying "huuum, Ill keep that in mind" and never talk about it again. I dont know if this is the reason for some of the user's being banned
and it realy isnt any of my buisness. I just hate seeing knowledgeable Eroid users getting banned. Especial high level User's

Every situation is different. I'm not particularly ban-happy, but if I ever hear of anyone soliciting through PM and asking people for personal info and Private email addys, I'll ban them in a heartbeat. That's not to be a prick---that's to protect you guys. Any cop could create an account here, develop a good rep after a few weeks, and con some unsuspecting member out of info that results in a kicked-in door and a pissed off German shepard biting their ass at 3 A.M.
They could even create an account..develope a good rep after a year! So everybody thinks, oh this guy has been around for ever and helps the community out he couldn't possibly be a cop.I mean just cuz someone has a high karma level doesn't mean they can't be a pig, am I right or am I right? If I were a cop I wouldn't Try to make some arrest after a week or two and blow up my spot...they'd prolly just keep gathering info for a long ass time waiting for a slip....just saying. U know how it is.

Of course it's a relief to know that they would much rather go after the bakers that the takers.
If I were a cop I'd do a lot of cop bashing and try to become a mod :-o

About a decade ago I was a mod on a tech site that at the time was the largest one there was for its subject. I can tell you that it may seem fun and games, but being a mod is NOT an easy job. 26 forums and sub forums here. 25 reports per page. Lets say that each page gets activity on 8 posts (some get more, some get less) every 6 hrs. Thats activity on 32 posts in each forum each day. With 26 forums, thats 832 posts that Goth, Grrl, Hollywood, et-al have to dig thru and check on. Helluva difference from cruising thru the board and opening a half dozen or dozen posts because the title interests you. Now consider this, you get a handful that are now wanting to display the mentality of a junior high schooler (heh heh heh, he said boobies, heh heh heh). Here comes a new member looking for info and opens the page because the title grabbed him or it came up in search. Dont matter that two pages back theres good info, all he sees is the grab ass and he moves on with a bad taste in his mouth. Now take the same ones that were stirring the pot and have one or two decide "we'll, I'll show that a-hole hollywood, I'll start shitting all over the place!", all the while being rooted on by a few others that are finding it cute to try and F with the mods. Now, the mods have to start really watching close to try and see where they are crapping at, taking already limited time (as Tread mentioned) and stretching it even thinner. Plus, as a mod, you know as soon as they see you log off they will log in and start crapping everywhere as fast as they can, all the while bitching that the mods are nazis and complaining about freedom of speech, etc. Never once giving a crap as to how they are affecting the board or the boards reputation. And when it progresses to the point that the pot is being stirred non-stop by some thinking they will get the mods to back off, they leave the mods little choice but to execute the nuclear option, as thats their job. Personally, I never enjoyed having to go nuclear, but it didnt stop me from doing it. And I would lay a case of beer on the line that most all the mods here feel the same way. They would much rather just have to delete/lock the posts that need it... like the "Hey, where can I buy this" posts, rather than have to go thru and clean house with a 20lb sledgehammer. However, it doesn't mean they won't do it if needed either!

tread-mYou can work with the site/MODS or against them and make their job tougher. Such as they will have to spend time to move this thread to off topic. Were the guys in question making it difficult for MODS to spend valuable little time checking through all the sites many different places and do their job? OF COURSE IT WAS!. So the rules violation was plenty reason for the bans alone but then when you figure the amount of time this little funfest and power struggle was putting on H as it spilled into other areas of the site you have to understand he had FAR LESS TIME to do his actual job here. So what you or I or anyone else hate has no bearing on anything. The level of the member means nothing. I was warned about a rules violation about a month ago by him and dropped it. I could have dragged it out and tried to use my "little number" to push back but I didn't because I VIOLATED THE RULES...Idropped it after saying "my bad" and that was it. This situation did not fall into that sort of category. I would guess it took over half his time as it was which means he had half as much time to do his actual job of scanning thousands of threads and in turn the site was depreciated for a period of time. This is much bigger than your or I and what or who we like here. Again, I liked juice too and suspect he will be back. (If not already) but that makes no difference to anything . The facts are very simple, the MOD who is stuck with the lions share of the burden due to the work schedules etc of the other MODS is H. This means if this group was wasting all of his time and it depreciated the site then he did the only thing he could do to change that situation.
The way I see it, we all like some banter and we know that the place would be a lot worse off without it. If there was no banter we might as well go sit in the corner and read an encyclopaedia. The MODS know that too and that is why they cut us some slack. I didn’t really follow too much of what was going on but they were clearly warned and more than once. This stuff goes on all the time but the only worse place it could have gone on in would have been the source reviews. It still seems a bit harsh, but at the end of the day the MODS are there to enforce the rules whether we like it or not. If guys want to take them on they shouldnt be surprised if they eventually bite back. “Live by the sword, die by the sword”. Just my opinion. I hope most of them come back in another guise and start again with a clean sheet. Now I know you got lots of banter about dirty sheets :-)
tread-mI kinda go at it like a politician, I'm doing wrong but it can't be proven. I'm sure BFG will eventually call me up on the eroids hill to testify before the MODS as to my knowledge and my participation in the scandals and I'll simply take the 5th or say "no BFG, I was not using performance enhacing drugs and that is all my attorney will allow me to say.

Also, I didnt mean to sound like they shouldnt have been banned cause I like them. I just threw that in thier because thats how I found out they were banned, because they were friends of mine. I agree about the level of a user means nothing. I just thought they would know the rules. Also, I dont hate the fact that they got banned. It just mean more juice for me...lol
This thread topic was not posted because I was upset or because I disagree. It was posted so other users can learn by thier mistacks. The MODS are really fair and give people at least several warnings. They do an excellent job and I think they desearve much props...
tread-mYeah I kinda saw all that in your post words but for others I wanted to stress how much time it takes to go through this whole site as a MOD and scan this thing and then figue how tough it is having to do so when you have something like happened going on. Hell I like all those guys even though Irish has a screw loose! Lol. It brings dynamic in my view to the site but when the dynamic spills all over the place and then it turns into an actual attempt to make it tougher on MODS then its a different thing. I'm not giving a blanket statement either for those guys as I think the level of "problem" was very different for each of those members and I think at the end of the day H did all he could do to stop the situation from just dragging out forever aand consuming more valuable time than was necessary. Btw, the OE bath gear was a joke! Lol the only thing he was running was some butt almond butter over at the "non-gay no homo " kiosk in the mall.
Ya, I knew nothing about this rubber knife crew until I posted this thread topic. That would explain why I was shocked about juice getting banned. Pats posted some links. Now I understand why he was banned. I read a comment buy sombody on the link pats posted and I agreed. Some times I go to a supplier intro to research and all I read are pages and pages of jokes going back and forth between a group of people. Its make the supplier intro a bit sloppy. I can understand several jokes and silly comments on a supplier intro, but pages of jokes and silly comments back and forth.

I guess it is what it is.. I remenber about 2 months ago I could not log into my account. I thought I was banned. I was really disapointed.. Before I had this website I paid 200 for 1 vial, yes the gear was the shiz but now that I have Eroids and have been active on the boards reading and researching. I know exactly were to go and who to stay away from when its time to due my next cycle. I also have learned alot.
A person doesnt know what they have until they lose it.

Im very thankful for this site, I've learned so much and still learning everyday.
