It's no secret I'm sick of the liberal progressive views in america but I'm just wondering if I'm the only sane person in america that wonders why we would even consider Trans gender men in our daughters locker rooms. Or ( freaks ) as I prefer to call them. I wonder how this is even in discussion ya know ?
Am I the only person who thinks things are wayyyyyy out control ?

CBBurrr's picture

I was one of the people that considered transgender as gay people playing dress up.
I caught a few episodes of a show called I am Jazz, about a transgender kid born male but with the brain of a girl.
Changed my perspective on it, and makes me much more understanding of transgender people.

As far as protecting out kids, from what I've seen the biggest pedophile threat comes dressed as, and has the genitals of a regular dude.

strongman6969's picture

In regards to sports, an mma fighter Fallon Fox, a transgender, broke the the eye socket of his/her female opponet. Whether or not your on hormone therapy, being born male gives a physical strength advantage I would think.

Hustle28's picture

Fuck yea I'm sick of it!!! Fuck that bullshit all these left wing assholes are doing is changing traditions and values so I'm with u bro fuck them

The Impastable's picture

Nobody is changing traditions and values, people simply have different values and traditions that other people. Nothing wrong with that...

I applaud your question.

I am a conservative; a libertarian, and totally disagree with your comment.

Your angst is understandable, and comes from lack of education in the matter. Not unlike our society's views on gays when we felt being gay was a life choice that could be corrected.

Transgender can be described as not who you go to bed with, but who you go to bed as.

My first born son started out as my first born daughter. That's right, I am a proud parent of a Transgender son. He is 16 years old. He uses the boys restrooms and locker rooms at school (no, it's not a freak show, they make arrangements for privacy -it's not show and tell in the locker room)

My son is taking Testosterone and is no longer depressed and confused as he once was. He is outgoing and very well liked. He is considered "one of the cool kids" at school. Something back in my day would have been unheard of. So I applaud the kids these days. Much, much more tolerant than we might have been.

I'd be no different to you if my daughter turns to me one day and tells me she likes girls. I honestly wouldn't give the slightest shit as long as whoever treats her right, be that a male or female and she's happy. People have told me I'd be different if I had a gay son, it wouldn't. Quite frankly people's sexual preferences are not of interest to me nor are they any of my business.

Whilst it's not what this topic should be about, there's some serious homophobia in here.

CBBurrr's picture

I was preparing myself to be the parent of a gay son. My kid was smart and athletic...... but went through a "brony" phase.
He's in college now and no longer into little girl cartoons. He's also not attracted to guys..... his thing is chubby girls.

The Impastable's picture

You are an exemplar of what all men should strive to be like Greg, I wish I could shake your hand.

Pale's picture

That is as real as it gets. I also have a 16 year old daughter. It is very difficult to imagine...But I do know no matter what my daughter decided (or my son for that matter) I cannot imagine not loving them..

Greg's picture

Same here, kind of surprised myself at how accepting I was...

We were concerned at first and wanted to make sure he wasn't confused, going through a phase, or what have you. We took him to counseling, Transgender support groups, educated ourselves.

So to answer Jimmy's question below, no, this isn't a life choice. You don't pretend you're something you're not until you're 18.

Greg's picture

Funny how we here in America are prideful of being the "melting pot" and point to our Tolerance as being exemplary for the rest of the world.

Truth is, each generation from the earliest Puritan settlers has resisted change. We resisted cultural change in religious laws, in slavery, the migration of the Irish, Jews, Germans, Scandinavians, Chinese, and Mexicans, etc. And, we resisted change in sexual equality.

Each generation would be appalled to some degree or our religious diversity, racial freedom, women in the workforce, women in the military, women voting, women wearing pants, our recognition and celebration of Gay rights, Saint Patrick's day, Oktoberfest, Hanukkah, Chinese New Year, Cinco De Mayo, Yulefest, etc. Our food and diet diverse -representing all cultures.

I don't know what show you're letting your 8 year old watch where she can see grown men making out with their tongs, heaven knows what they do with the spatula. ;-) but I'm sure as a parent you should be able to keep them from watching such stuff if you feel it's warranted.

Point is, change is uncomfortable, back in the late 60's, early 70's it was strange to see blacks on TV that were not portrayed as servants, later, it was blood boiling to see an interracial couple and even more shocking to see an interracial kiss. Today, no big deal. Did our society crumble to the ground? i think not.

I too hate to see time honored traditions disappear. But you have to ask yourself is it worth keeping.

Personally, a menorah or creche on the lawn of the city hall during the Holidays is worth keeping, The 10 commandments on a courthouse steps is worth keeping, The cross on a mountain top is worth keeping. opening doors for woman, is worth keeping...

Bias, intolerance, and bigotry, based on historical ignorance disguised as tradition, is NOT worth keeping.

Pale's picture

I can agree with that but we also shouldn't give a shit enough about it to persecute them for it either.

Pale's picture

How are we actually disrespected?

Greg's picture

LOL, your comment would make a great political cartoon in the old south.

I picture a statesman reading, "all men are created equal..."

and a Klansmen replying, "I agree 100% but I ask, who really is being disrespected here, hmmmmmmmm ?"

Darkhorse777's picture

Agreed x10 willy brother its way outta control

baseballguru11's picture

I really am not a fan of any of that crap either. BUT to think that a bunch of guys are going to dress up as girls just to try to go into a girls bathroom is extremely ignorant. If they wanted to go in there they would do it with or without legal permission. Theres plenty of Trans people who use the wrong bathroom and you would of never noticed.

Oddly enough I have a radar for these things. I can spot a Trans (MtF) pretty well. I swore I saw one at the apple store the other day.

I also really despise how soft we are on everything as well. PC is bullshit and its the main reason I am self employed and dont really have any people I spend time with on the regular besides my girl.

I lean more right on things but you lose me on your religious garbage. I am an atheist and this old white man religious crap is a joke.

Pale's picture

I lean more right on things but you lose me on your religious garbage. I am an atheist and this old white man religious crap is a joke.

I consider myself Agnostic, maybe even spiritual agnostic, we simply don't know and I am okay with that. But people that subscribe to and fervently believe in 2000+ year old religion are frankly borderline insane. To base your whole life upon a fairy tale is more than I have ever been able to sign off on.

baseballguru11's picture

exactly! It is pretty hard not to have an opinion on this matter in todays world.

The BIGGEST thing that grinds my gears are the mega churches and organizations that constantly ask for your money over and over again.

Pale's picture

Regardless if Jesus was really the son of god or not, I can guarantee mega-churches were not what his teachings were about. He actively resisted those very types! (according to the story) lol

Hustle28's picture

Yup he resisted and was killed for it and then his name was hijacked by religion its a shame these people don't get the image of Jesus was never meant to be seen for all we know the image of him now could easily be the devil ...... I'm not religious but I know Jesus was the real deal and the elites could not handle that nor will they ever .......they will steer us a way from the creator cuz this universe didn't magically just happen there is a creator

jd2014's picture

I agree with you willy. I think my problem with the liberal side is that it has gotten so extreme that it seems that everybody these days is forced to be "ok" with whatever it is that a person decides to do that you are almost labeled as a homophobe or bigot if you simply don't agree with something. Im of the opinion that you can do or be whoever you want, so long as it isn't harmful or dangerous to others. That DOESNT mean that I have to agree with it or support it. It seems as if Christians are becoming a minority and persecuted for not being supportive of some liberal ideas and agendas. End of rant. :-)

Pale's picture

That is because Christianity, Islam or Judaism is ridiculous and like Europe, Americans are waking up and realizing how silly the whole story is.

IrishMack's picture

I was out last night with a friend and his wife and they had a live band that was christian based (I had no idea) and that whole topic got brought up, I told his wife about the 12 apostles and the egyptian gods and how ridiculously similar they were...then we just said fuck it and played pool again and dropped the subject. You are correct it is such a good book in a time when they had no tv and cellphones and no concept of science. Lightning would strike the ground and they though it was an act of a God.

Pale's picture

Or tripping balls on mushrooms or some other hallucinogenic and talking to burning bushes, or what if moses was just some crazy schizophrenic? In the modern era if someone is hearing voices we immediately start looking for other symptoms of schizophrenia.

IrishMack's picture

lmao mushrooms..Or brain diseases. I never thought of it that way. Way to make me ponder shit.

tonytulo's picture

lmfao perfect.

tonytulo's picture

mhmmmm my favorite lmfao

humpnpump's picture

Have you did your research into this Darth, I do find like you that religion and Christians to be silly, but not Christianity. I've found if you did deep enough and do your own research you will find the real truth, instead of someone spoon feeding you lies.

Pale's picture

Brother, considering the first Gospels of Jesus weren't even put to scrolls until 200 years after his death I am afraid it is quite impossible to ever know the truth.

humpnpump's picture

There's other concrete evidence other than the bible. Science and archeology, hard facts before the bible was ever written. The bible is just conformation of what ready existed. I'll leave it at that.

Pale's picture

Pull up some real examples, you brought up Christisnty , make your case.

Catalyst's picture

I have a member of staff, used to be a male member of staff, now a female member of staff. It's a tricky one to deal with.....

"Freaks" - I think you're going too far with comments like that. While you may not like it personally I find that a little harsh.

The Impastable's picture

And this is why these types of threads end up getting shutdown...

Goose24's picture

They call really short and small people freaks at the fair.... Come on you know what I'm talking about.. Haha

Catalyst's picture

I know. Got to remember it takes all sorts in life. A touch politically incorrect.

Goose24's picture

Yea this is exactly what I was saying when all this fucking bullshit started to happen. (Are we going to have to make transgender bathrooms now? So basically 4 bathrooms every public place where there's already 2)Fucking Christ take little jimmy to the doctor and give him a shot of test! I bet he don't feel like wearing a dress after that.

Pale's picture

I don't get down with the transgender BS either, but this Liberal this, Conservative that is just as insane and irritating. I find the far right even more insufferable than the far left. Both sides are happy to sit and circle jerk each other and blame instead of putting forth ideas to solve issues fairly.

Goose24's picture

That's the problem though bro everyone needs to be "fair" and "equal" now a days. That's not how the real world works. The far left actually care about fighting ISIS and actually doing something about the finical crisis of the U.S. The far right don't want to address ISIS, they actually announce when we're pulling out military or bringing in military. And their more concerned about getting equal pay for women and to fix global warming. UM NEWS FLASH ISIS IS CUTTING PEOPLES HEADS OFF AND BURNING PEOPLE ALIVE ALSO PLANTING BOMBS ON PLANES NOW. So when I hear these stupid democrats talking climate control and equal pay and how they want to give all the money we don't have to the poor (for free) I just shake my head and walk away and call them stupid ignorant fucks.

Pale's picture

I think you are confused on what both sides stand for. But regardless, ISIS should be far down on our list of issues (as Americans) Europe on the other hand it is certainly becoming an issue with the insane amount of refugee's and Muslim takeover of western Europe. That has not happened here (yet). Isis has no real means of attacking us short of terror. We do have real threats to our interests in Russia and China to deal with that do have real standing armies and the ability to project power abroad.

But truthfully the single biggest issue facing the average American today is health insurance costs.

Goose24's picture

I'm not confused in any way on what both sides stand for man. And you think ISIS should be down on the list? Are you crazy? I'm going with your just uninformed (To be polite.)

And the reason why health insurance is so much is because of your boy Obama.$ 5-8,000 deductible for that disaster of a health plan. Not to mention its at least 80-100 a month on top of that... You don't think that the private insurance company's didn't see this coming and now their capitalizing on the fact that Obama care is a train wreck? So let me tell you something if you think Hillary can "fix" America by advocating equal pay for women and finding "the answer" to global warming then you sadly mistaken.

PUT UP A WALL YOU DONT HAVE A COUNTRY WITHOUT BOARDERS!

"MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!"

Pale's picture

The far left actually care about fighting ISIS and actually doing something about the finical crisis of the U.S. The far right don't want to address ISIS, they actually announce when we're pulling out military or bringing in military.

Again, you are confused. It is the opposite. And neither side cared to go after the crooks on wall street so that is a non-issue.

And you think ISIS should be down on the list? Are you crazy? I'm going with your just uninformed (To be polite.

Again, how is ISIS a threat to us in America? Other than very limited terror attacks, they do not have the military capability of attacking America and never will. I bet you were think the Patriot act was a good thing to, SMH

First off, I don't have a "Boy" on either side, so watch your mouth. And if you actually knew WTF you were talking about you would remember that the original ACA (Obamacare) had a federal plan option to lever against the insurance companies, but the Republicans would not sign unless that was removed so they could protect their buddies in the insurance industry. Of course it didn't take much arm twisting for the Dem's to agree to that either. You also seem to forget that our insurance system was already a wreck before the ACA as well. There would have been no reason to start down that road if it wasn't.

Hillary can "fix" America by advocating equal pay for women

I would never vote for Hillary, but I am just fine with women being payed equally for the same job as their male counter part. What kind of chauvinistic asshole thinks differently?

So in closing never again think for a second that you see things clearer than me, it is obvious you are not even close.

Goose24's picture

You'll find most main stream media is funded by democrats bro.. That's why we always see the bullshit that doesn't matter on main stream news networks.

jimmycrackcorn's picture

Idk man...but how in the fuck can u not be adult enough to drink, smoke, buy porn, get into R ratged movies, etc. Before age of 18...but u can be responsible and adult enough to change your gender..... Cmon man...wtf...at least make someone be 18 before a gender change. I had to wait until I grew up to do everything I wanted legally

Greg's picture

I suppose that includes gays too? They should stay straight until they are 18?
