Does anyone else feel like they look like shit no matter what?

ad

feels like i can never be satisfied i always look at flaws rather than pros.Even though the state i live in 70-80% people are fat and i am in better shape than 90% people i still feel like shit. How do i overcome this?

I admit i am no where near my goal.I wanna look like frank mcgrath although i wont get there.

All bodybuilders have this. The sooner you realize it, the sooner you'll feel better. Its a blessing and a curse. It drives us to want perfection and helps with dedication in the gym, but it can also drive some people too far. Truth is you're not gonna look like the pros unless you use what the pros are using at the doses they are using. After being on various boards, I can say after the general talk of the doses these guys are using, I am in NO way interested in ever getting to that stage. pretty big, and pretty lean is just fine.

Well I by no means am close to my goals either but still feel damn good about the way I look. When I graduated highshchool I was 300 pounds fat so no I think I look pretty damn good! But I'm still not completely happy. Every day I look at my self and look at what I want to improve on and will never stop doing this. Right now I want a wider back and once I get some width ill work on my arms and keep going. YOU CAN NEVER BE CONTENT! I don't compare myself to regular people though I compare myself to pro body builders which I know I will never achieve but it will keep me working my ass off lol just keep putting in the work bro!

Bro I am just like that. I have a ultimate self image that I am striving to achieve....I think if we all really examine ourselves we all have that. It is the reason we train, diet and run gear to get to that ultimate self image we have....that or to get laid.....lol

MuscleMilkBrah's picture

I'm still pretty fat lol

Nope I feel OK about myself for the most part! There will always be room for improvement. I look in the mirror maybe once a day to get ready in the morning. I know people who can't walk by a mirror without stopping to either admire or critique them selves..... Not sure really, I never bothered to ask. It would seem rude!

No! but I have been over confident for years

Nope! I feel pretty damn good about myself

I feel I look like shit if I can't see my abs. I have started to cut and within the last week I have been getting leaner and happier. Almost satisfied, when I hit 10% I will be happy I think. It's all about being lean in my book and I've been sittin at 13%-15% for my whole life. Feels nice to finally be breaking that plateau thanks to no carbs after lunch

There you go...... thats THE only way to get the lower abs showing bro, ive never done a fkn sit-up or crunch in my life!.... heavy lifting creates thick hard abs... diet brings em out! ... no other way.

First step is to feel comfortable with you no matter if you are on the road and the goal seems far away. You are in the best possible plate in order to get where you want. This way, the road will be easier and you will enjoy each step you take. Good luck, mate.

Bro we all think like this. Its what keeps us in the gym trying that much harder to get what we will never see, but atleast the ones around us claim we look good and are big. lol. But it pisses me off most time when they say it cause I feel like they are just stroking my ego or whatever trying to make me feel good. Atleast it keeps us having the drive to get to the gym, to eat better, to push harder, to spend more hard earned money on gear haha.

Iron_Addict0929's picture

I look in the mirror and see myself as the same 13 year old, poptart eating fat ass that i was. But it motivates me to keep going hard at the gym. I've never once been satisfied with how I look...

thepeakzuru's picture

If your a true bodybuilder...that will never change Biggrin

mwagner630's picture

sometimes i look at myself in the mirror and i think i look great. most of the time im unhappy with how i look, but that unhappiness drives me to keep improving

kwabby6's picture

I see im not the only one who catches people looking as they notice I caught them looking and try to sloooowly turn away. Its reassuring...

Darktide's picture

I look in the mirror and say, you are special, you are beautiful, you are one of a kind, the strongest, the fastest, the bestest (if bestest was a word), you are ripped and big, so don't believe what your lying eyes are telling you, because there is none like you! Give this a try it just might work:P lol

Overcome it by being acceptant of your body! Be thankful your healthy and not in a wheelchair or facing cancer wasting!
Just be thankful for what you do have, no one is perfect!

Try to keep water off during cycle. It helps you know where you realistically stand with muscle gain.
