Do people other than meat heads use "Bro" ?
ad
After calling a university mate of mine "Bro" on the phone and him pausing for a moment in response, I realized, that before I became a meat head (Body Building, serious lifting, pinning etc) I never used this term ever and now it is my go to vocab to reffer to an other male!!! But then I realize not all males deserve to be called bro, either, I feel weird when I call a skinny ass smoker/drinker who has never seen the color of Iron "Bro" so yeah. Thought to myself is that exclusive to us? right?

The job i had last spring i got all the lads calling each other bro within a few weeks, i was pretty proud of myself lol.
Still bump into the odd ex workmate now n then, bro's a great tool for when you've forgotten someones name ha!
RustyhookerBikers all refer to their club brothers as bro. Nothing new, always been that way.
I am not fond of being called "bro" or even "dude" for that matter... It makes me think that they haven't taken the time to consider that I am a woman and or don't care. It was never an issue until eroids though ..
Chill bro ;)
I hate the word "dude". Makes me think of a bunch of stoned surfer "dudes".
it is usually the "tone" in which it is said that bothers me more than the word ;-)
lol no worries then mate. hahaa
Mate is different, much more respectful ... bro and dude are overly familiar usually used inappropriately as generally speaking we are not familiar like that ;-)
Mate is an excellent universal endearing word. I use it for everyone. Staff, boss, wife, daughter, aunts and uncles, the dog. Works for everyone.
Lmao!! Wife and daughter too?! That's awesome. So I was watching Snatch with Brad Pitt the other day and that shit had me dying! Is that how I need to hear your posts when I read 'em?
No, that's a different language altogether - "pikey".
I don't know when I picked it up. I've been in a gym and played sports since I was a teen. Yes I use Bro, I'm over 40 and still use bro to my friends its a term of endearment. I'm also a medical professional, and feel natural as water going up to anyone I'm comfortable with (male) shaking their hand and saying "Hey Bro/Man. What can I help you with?" I don't "Bro" my patients (male) until I "feel" them out. But I can honestly say some seem to feel more trusting and comfortable with that term than me calling them "Mr. Smith". Its like I'm bringing you in or joining with you at a more intimate level.
Sometimes I have to say some uncomfortable shit to people. I will use anything to get that little intimate, comfortable "feeling" with someone. "Bro" can sometimes break the ice with someone (male) that's not wanting to listen to important things I'm trying to relay. Especially if they are a "Bro."
The actually makes really good sense.
I call strangers Sir and Mam. Call me old fashioned
mikeyg4321CD??????!!!!! Old bud??!
Hey Mikey! Yes sir BFG was kind enough to let a few of us back time served
mikeyg4321Hell yea! That's good and glad to have you back! Fr sent
some people call you sexy...
Only when I'm wearing a Pendleton n 501's;)
I do think "Bro" is in the teenager and or meat-head category. It doesn't bother me too much, unless it's used incessantly. What does bother me is the idiotic modification to "BRAH".
AnonFucking can't stand being called "Brah or Bruh"
Mellow out man, it's all cool. Ya dig? If he's a cool cat you can call him bro.
In all honesty, who cares what you call others? Address them anyway you see fit.
This should be off topic...
lol no worries.......cunt.
There's the Aussie to lower the tone lol!
Sick cunt!
cheers slut.
Fucking skank
WHORE!
Cunt rag!
Wel that was uncalled for you spunk swallowing knob jockey.

Calm down kids!
I'm not worried... Twat.
lmao!
If they are bigger than you than bro is fine even if they don't know what the inside of a gym looks like. Otherwise dude is sufficient.
I use Dude, man and bro or brother.. Whatever, who cares
Ace VenturaLol that sounds like pretty good logic
